    With your colleagues, consider the following questions related to disclosing information about a mental
    health condition.

    1. Why would it be beneficial for an employee to tell their employer about their mental health condition?

    2. Is an employer legally required to offer support to an employee with a mental health condition?

    3. What kind of support can an employer offer?

    4. Who can an employee speak to if they don't feel comfortable speaking to their supervisor or line manager?

    Key message

    Creating a supportive and accepting working environment is key to assisting individuals to disclose mental
    health conditions.

    There may be benefits to disclosure, but it is an individual choice.
