Present Continuous or Present Progressive

Usamos el present continuous para una acción que está ocurriendo en el


momento de hablar o en este período.
Los adverbios que se usan con este tiempo de verbo son: NOW o AT THE
MOMENT
El Present Continuous se forma así:

TO BE + verboING

REGLAS
1) Verbos terminados en “E” , van a descartar la e para agregar ING
Examples:
HAVE: She is having dinner now.
MAKE: My mom is making pizza for lunch.

2) Los verbos terminados en “ Y ” agregan ing sin cambios:


David is playing with the computer.
Lucy is carrying a present in the picture.

3) Verbos de una sola sílaba, que terminan en consonante + vocal+


consonante duplican la última consonante:
RUN – running
STOP- stopping
SHOP- shopping

4) Los verbos que terminan en W , X o Y NO duplican la última


consonante, solo agregan ing:
Enjoy - enjoying
Study – studying
