HIGHER SECONDARY COURSE \is 557006
01. Higher Secondary Education is equivalent to 10+2 Education of all India Pattern.
A candidate, to be declared pass, must secure pass marks in two compulsory languages and three elective subjects. Grand Total is
done by taking into account the highest marks obtained in five subjects including Language Group and Optional Elective subject, if
any, where a minimum pass marks in each subject of the Language Group should be secured mandatorily and accordingly, mark
sheet is printed. Overall grade is calculated by dividing the Grand Total by five.
03. Regulation 9(1)/9(2) will be applicable to the cases where necessary. 9(1): If a candidate fails to obtain minimum pass marks in any
compulsory subject excepting Environmental Education for the reason of deficiency of less than five per centum of full marks,
he/she shall, to make up the deficiency in the compulsory subject, be given credit by transfer of marks from the highest marks
obtained by him/her in a compulsory subject excepting Environmental Education. 9(2): Notwithstanding anything contained in
regulation 6, 7 and 8, a regular candidate or continuing candidate or special candidate who cannot be declared passed in the
examination by reason of his - (a) not appearing in the examination of a compulsory elective subject, or (b) failure in obtaining the
minimum pass marks in a compulsory elective subject, but has obtained the minimum pass marks in the optional elective subject,
shall be declared passed by giving him the benefit of interchanging the compulsory elective subject as the optional elective subject
and vice versa.

Application for declining the benefit of interchange of subjects shall not be accepted on expiry of 30 days from the date of
publication of result.
04. For name correction in original Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate, applications forwarded by Head of the Institution must reach the
Council within six months from the date of publication of the result, failing which the Council shall charge fees as prescribed. The
candidates and the Heads of the Institutions themselves should not make corrections in the Mark-Sheet and Pass Certificate as well.
05. A candidate may apply for Post Publication Review /Scrutiny of answer script(s) in theoretical papers only within 15 days from the date of
publication of results in prescribed format through online along with the requisite fees, subject to the fulfillment of the conditions as laid
down under the relevant regulation. A candidate may apply for review in not more than two subjects.
06. A Special candidate may enrol himself/herself for the next examination as a Continuing candidate with the same subjects of his / her
first enrolment.
07. Subject-wise marks and grade are shown in the Mark Sheet. Classification of Subjectwise and overall grade is given
90-100: O [Outstanding] "60-69 : B+ [Good] 30-39 : P [Passed]
80-89 : A+[Excellent] 50-59 : B [Satisfactory] Below 30: F [Failed]
70-79 : A [Very Good] 40-49: C [Fair]

Subject Grade is awarded on the basis of total marks secured by a candidate in theoretical and practieal / project taka SNE a
N.A. (Not Applicable) is shown against Subject Grade when a candidate is absent or does not obtain minimum pass mark
theoretical or practical / project.
08. The Council shall preserve all answer scripts, marks foils in respect of the Higher Secondary Examination of a year for a period of six
months from the date of publication of the results of such Examination of that year and on the expiry of the said period all such
documents connected with the Examination, other than the tabulation record, shall be disposed of and no demand for production of
the same shall thereafter be entertained: Provided that the answer scripts of Post Publication Review /Scrutiny shall be preserved
for three months from the publication of the Post Publication Review /Scrutiny results of that year or a period of six months from
the date of publication of the results of Higher Secondary Examination, whichever is later. There is no provision for re evaluation of
any answer script after publication Review /Scrutiny result.
