PAST PERFECT SIMPLE

Aff: S+had+V3/ed(past participle)

Neg: S+had +not/hadn’t+V3

Folosim mai mult ca perfectul (past perfect simple ) pentru a descrie:

1. acțiuni care s-au terminat in trecut (Past Perfect Simple), înaintea altei acțiuni sau altui eveniment din
trecut (Past Simple);

2. evenimente sau experiențe care erau adevărate înaintea unei acțiuni sau unui eveniment din trecut.

Exemple:

1. They had taken many French lessons by the time they moved to France.

Au făcut/Facusera multe cursuri de limba franceză înainte de a se muta in Franta.

2.They had known the truth before I told them.

I hadn't eaten Mexican food before I went to Mexico last August.

Am mâncat mâncare mexicană pentru prima dată când am fost în Mexic în august, anul trecut.

I had been to Thailand twice before I got a job there.
