My mother-in-law and I share a love of old movies. Whenever we are able we turn
on one of the classics and sit down to enjoy a good story. This shawl was inspired by
the beautiful ball gown worn by a glamorous 1940s starlet in one of those classic films.
Although the storyline has faded from my memory, the gown remains clear. This shawl
captures the essence of that gown. I hope that when you wear it you will feel some of
the allure that made that starlet so memorable.

dimensional drawings better than step-by-step directions.
