Queen of All Saints parishioners are invited to make monetary donations for our
Christmas floral arrangements in memory of deceased loved ones. All monies contributed
will be used to purchase flowers to decorate our churches throughout the Christmas
season. If you would like to donate funds for Christmas Flowers you may do so by
completing the information and placing it with your donation in a plain envelope which
can be put in the collection basket. Names will be in the Christmas bulletin.

So what does John the Baptist mean? Why was he inserted into the story, why was he sent ahead? I will tell you, if I
can. Our Lord Jesus Christ said about John, Among those born of women, none has arisen greater than John the
Baptist (Mt 11:11). If John is compared to men, all of them are surpassed by that man; the only one who beats him is
the God-man.

Church Cleaning Day


Our Church Cleaning Day has been moved to Saturday, December 14th, between 9:00am and
4:00pm. In teams, we will be tidying, cleaning and putting in order different places in the main
church and the basement. You can help out at anytime during the day, for as little or as long as
you can. Those who wish to give their time on this Church Cleaning Day can do so by emailing
[email protected] or by contacting the parish office at 506-857-4223 or
[email protected]. Many hands make light work!

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY “TAGS FOR TOYS”


The Trees are up.......the Christmas tradition of “Tags for Toys” at
St. Augustine’s has begun. Trees laden with tags for boys and girls of all
ages are in the main entrance of the Church. Parishioners may select a
tag, purchase an age appropriate gift and bring it unwrapped to the boxes
provided near the trees no later than December 15th.
Volunteers from the St. Vincent de Paul Society are coordinating this
project in conjunction with the Salvation Army and will ensure the toys
are distributed to children from our area in time for Christmas.

RAY OF HOPE is looking for donations of personal hygiene items (the smaller
sizes) such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. They will be
making goody bags and distributing to those in need at their
Christmas dinner. Donations are greatly appreciated and can be
dropped off in baskets at the Church.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL CLOTHING DEPOT


OPEN Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:30am to 12:45pm
Donations may be left at the Drop Off Barn from 8:00am until 8:00 pm only. A limit of 10
Customers are allowed in the store at one time for a 15-minute time period. Hand sanitizing
will be monitored. Items can be dropped in the Drop Off Barn in the parking lot from
8:00am to 8:00pm.

Please reserve the last Sunday of every month following the 11:00am Mass for general altar
server training. At that time, the lead Altar Servers will provide updates and training on
serving the mass. Current and new altar servers are encouraged to attend.

MARK THE DATE! SCUBA CHRISTMAS!


On Friday, December 6th from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, we will be offering a Christmas
follow-up to last June’s Vacation Bible School, SCUBA: Dive into Friendship with God.
Anyone is welcome, even those children who did not attend Vacation Bible School in

ADVENT GOES TO THE MOVIES – Please join us as we meet via Zoom to discuss four films and their
connection to our faith and the Advent season. December 2nd (Wizard of Oz); December 9th (Babette’s
Feast); and December 16th (Agnes of God). Each discussion will be held at 10:30am on Zoom. Please

SENIORS CONNECT: Welcome to Seniors Connect, a safe space for Seniors to gather,
socialize, learn about, and discuss issues related to aging in New Brunswick. Our next
gathering will take place on Thursday December 5th 10:30am at the Holy Family Church
Hall, 52 Falkland St. Moncton. Our theme for that day is “Tis the Season”. One of our
activities will be a Yankee Swap so we ask that you bring a small gift or craft that is no

HOLY FAMILY CHURCH (52 Falkland Street, Moncton)....


is seeking an enthusiastic, musically gifted team player to serve as Music Leader. The
perfect candidate will lead the music at mass celebrations (Saturdays at 7:00 pm) and
choir practices. This is a paid position. For a detailed position description or additional

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 1310: Breakfast, located at 84


Broadway St. Sunday December 1st, 8:30am until 12:30pm. Cost is $12.00
for adults, $5.00 for children. Menu includes: eggs, bacon, sausage, ham,
pan fries, baked beans, toast and tea or coffee, pancakes and juice.
All are welcome.
OUR LADY OF MERCY CHURCH
Continuing Religious Education for Children of All Ages:
Regular catechism will be conducted simultaneously with Sunday School. After the
sessions, children will join their parents at Mass just before the offertory. During
catechism/Sunday school, children will also learn prayers, songs for the regular mass and the Christmas
Concert and will participate in special learning activities!

New Sunday School Hours: Every Sunday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm Location: Church Basement.
The young adults studying for confirmation under the guidance of Fr Angus, will still attend their lessons every
second week at 3:00pm! Catechism Schedule as follows.

Dec. 8th Mass 4:00pm Dec. 29th Mass 4:00pm (followed by special activity)

OUR LADY OF MERCY: The Charlie Brown tree will be accepting mittens, socks,
scarfs, toques, gloves, etc. until December 10th. Thank you.

CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD CONCERT:


December 22nd at 3:30pm. Many groups from the Greater Moncton area will share their traditional homeland
Christmas songs during this 2 hour concert that will be followed by a Spaghetti supper! Concert and Supper
tickets are being sold at $20.00 each or $10.00 for children 12 and under! Fundraiser for the renovations! Call

celebrated at 2:00pm with Fr Angus!

CHRISTMAS CRAFTS AND GOODIES AT THE POINTE: The Our Lady of Mercy Church will host its first
Christmas Craft sale on Saturday December 14th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Vendors are invited to rent a table
at a cost of $20.00 per table. The church will have their own table to sell crafts that will be donated by parish-
ioners. A bake sale will also be featured so your donation of Christmas decorations or baked goods would be

CHRISTMAS CHOIR: All singers and musicians are invited to a few practices for the

The 2025 parish envelopes are ready for pick up at the back of the Church. When you

The volunteers at the Irishtown Community Centre are once again making/selling Poutine Rapee
