Submitted By;GROUP 4 (Anusha,Anjum,Nasiha,Jayadeep) INTRODUCTION India has made remarkable progress in public health since Independence,there have been significant improving in health indicators across all the states of the country.Across the health system starting from the grass root levels(ASHA,ANM,ANGANWADI WORKERS,MULTIPURPOSEHEALTHWORKERS)toadministrativelevels(ALLOPATH Y&AYURVEDADOCTORS)The National Health Policy2017,proposes to create PHMC in all StatesThe Public Health Cadre is a proposed initiative by the Indian government to create a public health management cadre in all states.The PHMC is expected to augment the capability of the Public health system for disease burden estimation.it means the sum of mortality and morbidity.The objective of the PHMC is situation analysis of public health cadre in selected states.In India to gain an in depth understanding of the progress and explores the gaps and challenges in its implementation.Frontline Health Workers (FLWs), also known as Community Health Workers, are those who take health services directly to communities.Frontline and Public Health Cadre plays a crucial role in preventive healthcare, disease control, and community well-being. Ph cadre members are the planners, strategists, and advocates dedicated to safeguarding the health of entire populations
Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA)
ASHAs are female part-time, trained community health volunteers, who work as an interface between the community and the public health system.Asha Workers were engaged in door-door Survey.They fall within the ambit of the MoHFW, and are a key component of the National Rural Health Mission established in 2005(now called the National Health Mission).They should be a local residence of the community and basic qualification is 8th level education.urban areas there is 1 ASHA for about 2500 populationrural 1 ASHA for about 1000 populationASHAs prioritise their work differently depending on the source of funding and it is well documented .since the incentives comes from multiple sources within NHM.2017 National policy supports certification programme for ASHAs for their preferential selection into ANM, nursing and paramedical courseAsha institutionly limited by the outcome based remuneration structure and poor institutional support
Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)
ANMs work at health sub-centres, which provide healthcare services at the village- level.ANM are full time salaried government health workers who focus on maternal and child healthThey are especially trained to provide skilled attendance at deliveries,post partum care,contraception advices,immunization and family planning.
Anganwadi worker (AWW)
Anganwadi workers form a critical part of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) programme, whose mandate is to provide pre-school education for children under six, and nutritional support and healthcare for children and pregnant or lactating mothers, to reduce mortality, morbidity, and malnutrition.AWWs run Anganwadi centres (AWCs)—the village- or slum-level delivery mechanism of the ICDS —and work with Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) to offer a package of six services.They fall within the purview of the MoWCD
