Exam Testing Windows are:
There are three (3) exam testing windows are available in year.
They are:
➢January – February
➢May – June
➢September – October

Exam Structure:
➢Online Exams and are administered through the worldwide network of
Prometric Testing Centers
➢Each exam part is four (4) hours in length which includes 100 multiple-
choice questions and 30-minute each two (2) essay questions
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Education: - Candidates seeking admission to the CMA program must
hold a bachelor’s degree in any area, from an accredited college or university.
❑Note: - Educational credentials must be submitted when applying or within 7 years
of passing the examination. The educational credentials must qualify in order to be
certified

Experience: - Two (2) continuous years of professional experience in


financial management and/or management accounting are required any time prior to
or within 7 years of passing the examination
❑To qualify, employment must be in a position that requires regular involvement in the
principles of management accounting and financial management. e.g:- financial
analysis, budget preparation, management information systems analysis etc
Which Part Should I Take First?
You can take any parts. Either part 1 first or part 2

How much should I score to qualify each


part?
➢ 72% (360/500)
➢ Total marks for each part is 500. Needs to score 360 to qualify each
part
➢ MCQ 350 marks and descriptive (essay) 150 marks
CMA Exam Scores
Work Experience Requirement
Candidates for the CMA Certification must complete two continuous years of professional
experience in management accounting and/or financial management. Qualifying experience
consists of positions requiring judgments regularly made employing the principles of
management accounting and financial management. Such employment includes:

• Preparation of financial statements • Forecasting


• Financial planning and analysis • Company investment decision making
• Monthly, quarterly, and year-end close • Costing analysis
• Auditing (external or internal) • Risk evaluation
• Budget preparation and reporting • Management information systems
• Manage general ledger and balance analysis
