Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Assistant
Librarian.

the form.
ELIGIBILITY :
i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science
or an equivalent professional degree, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in
a point –scale, wherever the grading system is followed)
ii) A consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of a library.
iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC
like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the
University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of
M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time
as the case may be:
Provided that the, candidates registered for the Ph.D. degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be
governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the
Institution awarding the degree, and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the
requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges / Institutions subject to the fulfilment of the
following conditions:-
a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which
at least one is in a refereed journal;
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in
conferences/seminars sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any
similar agency.
Note:
(i) The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean
(Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
(ii) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for candidates in such Master’s Programmes
for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by
the UGC like SLET/SET.
APPLICATION FEE:
i. An application fee of Rs.2000/- shall be paid online (RTGS/NEFT) in favor of Dr.
Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj, Account

ii. The online payment receipt must also be attached as an annexure with the
Application form.
iii. Application fee is not refundable.
iv. Applications received without proof of payment of application fee will be rejected.

Law University, Prayagraj i.e., https://www.rpnlup.ac.in.
Filled in application form with all the supporting annexures and application fee payment
proof must be emailed to [email protected].
LAST DATE TO APPLY:
The Last date for submission of Application form is on or before 20th December
2024. The University shall not be responsible for any delays in sending filled in application
form through mail.
The Hard Copy of the same must be reached to University on or before 27th December,
2024, 5:00 PM to the following address-

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The application should be submitted through email to [email protected] within

the time duration prescribed and a hard copy of the same must be reached to the
abovementioned address on or before 27th December 2024, 5:00 PM.
2. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a
candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.
3. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview.
4. Call letters for interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates and no
correspondence will be entertained with applicants who are not short- listed.
5. The Selection Committee may relax any of the qualifications, experience etc.
6. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such a candidate.
7. The Selection Committee may decide its own method of evaluating the performance of
the candidates in interview. The University may conduct written test/skill test or
presentation/ mock class as method of selection and there will be short listing after
every stage.
8. Applications incomplete in any respect shall not be considered at all.
9. The application form along with necessary self- attested photocopies of certificates must
be submitted with application form.
10. The candidates should show their original certificates at the time of
Exams/tests/interviews etc., as the case may be.
11. The University reserves the right to fill all the positions advertised or fill only some of
the positions or not to fill any of the positions.
12. In case of any disputes/suits or legal proceedings against the University, the
Jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Courts in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh which is the
Headquarter of the University.
13. Candidates already in service should route their application through proper channel or
submit No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.

15. No separate communication through email or any other mode will be made to the

16. No TA/DA will be provided to the applicants for interview.
