APPOINTMENT LETTER
AND MAIN TERMS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
POSITION
EV MECHANIC | EV GATE

Dear Mohammed,
We are pleased to offer you an appointment in our organization as EV Mechanic
for EV-Gate, a sister concern of GATE CAPITAL INVESTMENT under the following terms and conditions.

1- JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES


Job Title : EV MECHANIC
Location : EV-GATE SHOWROOM -SHARJAH SAJJA (UAE)
Job Description : As EV Mechanic you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating the quality
standards of our company. replacing and installing batteries based on the electric vehicle. Support in-house or
field testing of both low and high voltage DC electronics. Perform simple electrical assembly (i.e. wiring,
connectors, circuit boards) Support electric vehicle maintenance in compliance with health and safety
regulations.

2- SALARY
This position is deemed as Single Status which includes the employee only as per company roles. The all-inclusive
compensation package for this assignment is broken down as follows:
Monthly Salary is AED 2,500.00/- divided as follows:
Basic Salary : AED 750.00/-
Housing Allowance : AED 525.00/-
Travel Allowance : AED 368.00/-
Fixed Allowance : AED 857.00/-

3- DATE OF JOINING
The date of joining will be effective post your acceptance of this offer letter.

4- PROBATION
The first Six (6) month of employment are consider a probationary period during which time the company imposes
on the employee thirty (30) calendar day’s notice of terminating the contract and the employer has the right to
terminate employment with immediate notice or compensation by way of wages, other than for the time worked
(Labor Law Articles 37, 38 & 120). If, upon completion of the probationary period, the employee’s performance is
found satisfactory as per the company standards, he/she will be confirmed in his/her position and entitled to
benefits as described in this offer.
5- DURATION OF CONTRACT
This engagement will be for an open/unlimited term. Rules regarding termination of this employment are laid out
in Point 11 of this agreement.

6- MEDICAL/INSURANCE
The employee will be provided with medical health insurance.

7- PLACE OF WORK
This engagement is based in United Arab Emirates. This agreement is subject to UAE laws and regulations.

8- WORKING HOURS
You would observe working hours as per our timings – ( 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 6 days per week- Friday off) However,
you could be required to work additional hours in future if deemed necessary, particularly at busy periods during
the year or emergencies as per the instruction of your department head.

9- HOLIDAYS / LEAVE
The employee’s point of origin is determined as Jordan. Return air tickets (economy class) from either Dubai or
Sharjah to Jordan are provided to the employee upon completion of each twenty-four (24) months of service
(once in two year). For each twelve (12) months service completed, the employee is entitled to annual leave of
thirty (30) calendar days in accordance with UAE Labour Law. The Employer has the right to request that this leave
be broken up in order to meet work commitments. The employee will observe UAE public holidays as per company
rules (Labour Law Articles 74ff). Sick leaves are governed by the regulation set out in UAE Labour Law Article 83ff.

10- RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on electric motor vehicles to the highest standard.
• Carry out all work completely and effectively whilst adhering to manufacturer’s scheduled times to
maintain efficiency.
• Effectively record details of diagnosis, work completed, and components utilised in line with group and
manufacturer standards.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Be able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite and efficient manner.
• To be aware of the importance and implication of maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and
work to ensure they are always met.
• The ability to work without supervision.
• Take responsibility for the quality and quantity of their work.
11- TERMINATION
In the event of the employees to terminate this agreement before completing twenty-four (24) months service
tenure, the company retains the right to claim any related expenses (including, but not limited to UAE visa, flight
passage, medical and recruitment costs) pro rate per months’ incomplete. If this contract is terminated by the
employee after the probationary period and before the end of the twenty-four (24) months period then the
employee must serve a thirty (30) days’ notice period before release from duty and visa sponsorship. Additionally,
if the employee should terminate this contract of his/her own accord before the end of the twenty-four (24)
months period, the employee will be responsible for his/her repatriation expenses, at the discretion of the
employer. However, in the event of the employer terminating this agreement, then the full transport costs will be
borne by the employer, except where the reason for the company terminating the contract is for disciplinary
process as documented on the employee’s personal file.
The company retains the right to serve a thirty (30) days’ notice period at any stage of the employee’s service and
also to dismiss employees instantly who seriously damage the good name of company or violate UAE Laws in
compliance with the company’s rules and regulations. This right is maintained should an employee take action(s)
of a criminal or immoral nature (UAE Labour Law Articles 102 & 120).
Upon leaving the employer’s service on account of either resignation or termination, the employee needs to return
to the company all the assets of the company or its clients including documents, files books, papers and memos
in his/her possession or custody.

12- CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE


All business data, business plans, financial projections and results, customer/owner information computer
programmers and similar materials and information made available to the employee during his/her employment
are the sole property of the Gate Capital Investment. All such materials and information shall be held by the
employee in the strictest confidence and shall not be shared or disclosed to any third parties or to our competitors
otherwise utilized except in the routine course of performance of the employee’s duties in the company. Any
copies, summaries or compilations thereof shall be returned to the company upon the termination of
employment.

13- CODE OF CONDUCT


The employee is required to apply and maintain the highest standards of personal conduct and integrity and
comply with all company policies and procedures. Under no circumstances should the employee be absent or
leave the work place without proper consent from the authorized person. The employee should abstain from
getting into conflict with the local people, government or with the administration. In case of problems, the
employee is required to bring it to the notice of the management. Any intentional violation of these or any other
company procedures can result in disciplinary action being taken against the employee, which may result in
termination of employment with or without notice or compensation. Matters of conduct, discipline and other
aspects of the employee’s engagement are governed by the Terms and Conditions of the company, in force from
time to time.
14- GENERAL

The terms of this offer are to be kept strictly confidential. This Letter of Appointment is issued subject to the
authenticity of information and documents provided by the appointee. In the event the information provided is
proved to be false / untrue the company reserves the right to immediately terminate the services of the appointee.

EV Mechanic. In acceptance of the above terms and conditions, please sign this letter in duplicate one copy of
which is for you to keep and the other for the HR Dept. Please sign on each page in acceptance of the terms and
