proposers will support the motion the way it is, that is they will focus on the benefits of social media while
opposers will oppose the motion by saying; social media has done more good than harm that is they will

Proposer; Thank you Mr. Speaker, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, with humility, it is true that
social media has done more good than harm; who can deny that the word is now a global village, businesses
are thriving globally through social media networking thanks to the Facebook, TikTok among others.
Strategic business research 2019 shows that social media boosted small business globally by over 60 percent

Opposer: What are you saying, if you don’t have a point, keep quiet, do you know how many people have
lost jobs because of social media, you are talking about businesses booming, do you know how sad it is to
lose a job or fail in an interview because of what you post in social media, get your facts right.

Speaker: Ladies and gentlemen, let us respect on another’s opinion and we should all make our points
through the speaker otherwise we may not have a fruitful debate.

You only fail in an interview or lose your job if you abuse social media, in fact many have succeeded in an
interview and even gotten promotions through their objective social media use this can be confirmed by the
research done by Demystified Strategic research 2022 that 80 percent of job seekers get their jobs through
social media.

Opposer: social media has led to phone addiction, pornography addiction and even cheating in marriage.
