My uncle died in this accident. The Manager had pulled all of them off the cranes, etc because of the high
winds and everyone went to one of the containers where they thought they were safe. This is when the
crane fell on top of them. This is negligence and a gross violation of safety protocol by the Spanish
Company.

I'm sorry for your loss, Karen. The young lady who died in this accident is our friend's daughter.
Their only child. Her husband was also injured in this accident, he is critical. She was a beautiful
young woman, who had worked hard and her family are devastated.

Off the project fact sheet:

"This project is a partnership between Industrial

Development Corporation (29 %), Black Economic
Empowerment Program via the Khi Community
Trust (20%) and Abengoa (51 %). The construction
of this plant is creating a local supply chain that
brings economic development to the region".

Anyone surprised? Not to say I know where the blame lies.
