Job Summary

The role of a Product Manager is to oversee and drive the development, launch, and ongoing improvement of a
product or service. They act as a bridge between different teams, stakeholders, and customers, ensuring that the
product aligns with the company's overall strategy and meets the needs of its target market. Here are the key
responsibilities of a product manager.

Job Description
• Product Strategy: Developing a clear vision and strategy for the product, including defining goals, target
audience, and positioning in the market.
• Market Research: Conducting thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and
competitors to inform product decisions.
• Roadmap Creation: Creating a product roadmap that outlines the product's development timeline and
prioritizes features and enhancements.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other teams
to coordinate efforts and ensure successful product development and launch.
• Requirements Gathering: Eliciting and documenting detailed product requirements based on customer
feedback, market analysis, and internal inputs.
• Product Development: Overseeing the product development process, making decisions, and addressing
challenges to keep the project on track.
• Product Launch: Planning and executing the product launch, coordinating marketing activities, and ensuring
the product is effectively introduced to the target market.
• Metrics and Analytics: Defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzing product performance data
to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

• Customer Feedback: Collecting and analyzing customer feedback to continuously improve the product and
enhance user experience.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Monitoring the product's lifecycle, making decisions about updates,
improvements, and end-of-life strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed about the product's progress, milestones, and
potential changes.
• Business Planning: Collaborating with business and finance teams to create business cases for new product
investments and to assess the product's financial viability.

Skills Required
1. Technical or Business Background: This background enables the PM to understand the intricacies of the
product and communicate effectively with the development and business teams.
2. Industry Experience: Familiarity with the industry in which the product operates. Understanding market
trends, user behavior, and competitive landscape to help make informed decisions about the product's
direction and features.
3. Product Management Experience: should have good understanding of product management principles,
this includes skills in market research, product ideation, road-mapping, feature prioritization, and go-to-
market strategy.
4. Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including engineers,
designers, marketers, and executives regarding the product's goals and progress.
5. Project Management: Should have strong project management skills necessary to keep the product
development process on track. S/he needs to manage timelines, allocate resources, and track progress
to ensure that the product is delivered on time.
6. Analytical Abilities: Should have strong analytical capabilities able to analyze data and metrics to make
informed decisions.
7. User Centric Mindset: Should be able to advocate for the user's needs and ensure that the product solves
real problems and delivers value.
8. Problem Solving Skills: Should be able to think critically and find creative solutions for challenges
experienced by users/clients.
9. Multi-Lingual (English and French essential): Should be able to effectively communicate in English and
French.
10. Willing to travel: Should be able to travel when required to respective markets.
