Amazing homes
This house is on a pole – a long piece of metal! The house is about 40 metres above the ground
on the end of the pole. The 180-degree views of the sea all round the house are amazing. Many
people from all over Australia come with their cameras. They take pictures of the house because
it is so unusual. It was built quite a long time ago in the 1970s, and there is only one bedroom
and one bathroom in the house.
This house in Wales is only 6 feet wide by 10 feet long. It was built in the 16th century. There is
a living room downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. People lived in the house up until 1900. It is a
museum now and tourists from all over the world visit the house.
This house is in the shape of a seashell – the house of a small sea animal! It was built in 2006.
The man who designed the house wanted to live in a different kind of house with his wife and
their son and daughter. The front of the house is made of glass – in lots of different colours –
but it is a very strong house!
