Aptitude and Foundational Values for Civil Service, Integrity, Impartiality and Non-partisanship, Objectivity, Dedication to Public Service,
Empathy, Tolerance and Compassion towards the weaker-sections.

Questions:

1) “To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we


must be credible; to be credible we must be truthful." In the light of
this statement, what essential traits you think are required in a
person to be credible ? Also discuss how such moral agent can
bring about positive changes through persuasion in the sphere of his

2) Successful organisations scale to new heights because they rest


upon the shoulders of people with high integrity. In this context,
comment upon how organisational integrity is being protected by
personal integrity of employees therein. Also mention about the ways

3) It is said that 'Attitude can take you to the places where aptitude
can not !' To what extent do you think this is possible ? In current
times, why is it necessary for civil servants to have a high aptitude

5) Keeping oneself on a virtuous path helps in developing a higher


sense of being and ensures moral equilibrium. What are the
consequences of unethical deviations from such a virtuous path ?
