    AUTHORIZATION TO ACCESS TO M&E ROOMS/ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX


    ROOF TOP / MANHOLES (NTU)

    Conditions for Request to access to NTU M&E Rooms / Roof-Top / Manholes / Other Restricted Areas

    1. You are to ensure that method statement, risk assessment and traffic control is done and approved by your
    Department prior to commencement of work activity. Risk controls to be communicated to the persons working at
    the area.
    2. Appropriate Personnel Protective Equipment must be worn at all times.
    3. You must look out and avoid tripping hazard such as surface pipe/ducting /services and other potential risk eg. low
    protruding objects, falling from height, drainage/ sump, electrical, hot surfaces, fume etc while at the roof area.
    4. No tempering of NTU property.
    5. You and/or your vendors/co-workers should have appropriate knowledge, skills, training and experience to work
    safely. Lone working is strongly discouraged.
    6. Provision for means of communication is necessary. This may include having charged mobile phones during the
    entire course of work. Contact FRC at 67904777 for any emergency.
    7. You must stop all activities on open roof top during adverse weather conditions due to lightning risk.
    8. Use only equipment which is in good and sound working condition
    9. Comply with instructions from Office of Development & Facilities Management and FRC.
    10. Perform housekeeping and inform FRC when work is completed.
