Introduction : UNISTAR
Project
UNISTAR is a male idol project in Thailand. Members are
selected through the annual UNISTAR contest. The contest is
considered the 'next level' after 'the University Moon
contest', so each UNISTAR member can also be called 'The
Moon'.

the printed book (Thai ver.) hasn't been released yet, so we

[2] Cute Boy / Cute Girl / Sexy Boy refers to the popular
facebook pages that gather all beautiful or handsome
college students from various universities in Thailand. e.g.
CU Cute boy (Chulalongkorn University's good-looking male

looking male student).

Chapter 1 : The Air &
Invisible Moon
Invisible Moon
Chapter 1
#WINisWIND
What was the feeling of being the light among the crowd?
Someone like me who was invisible, could barely even
imagine.
"AAAH!"
"AAAH!"
But even though I was standing far away, I could still hear
the girls' voices screaming behind me.
"Yeah, but how? Almost no one has ever seen P'In at the
university."
"Oh, I envy you! Did you touch his hand and get his
autograph?"
"No, I didn't, P'In's line was full. Too bad I got cut off and was
directed to P'Natee's line instead."
"Could you cut them into smaller pieces?" I said. I felt pity
for the fish. I was afraid that the fish would suffocate to
death. So I asked the person feeding them, forgetting the
fact that I was invisible and he would never hear me.
"Oh!" I exclaimed.
I glanced at all the wives who were imagining that P'In, who
was standing right here, was their husband. I was amazed to
see that P'In stood just two meters away — I guessed he
also heard everything but seemed to be unconcerned, as if
he didn't hear anything. However, I wondered why no one
could see P'In, he was just standing right here.

Chapter 2
#WINisWIND
Then, the scene shifted to the next member, P'Sea, the first
generation and oldest member of UNISTAR. He was a tall
man with a fair face, his facial features looked both beautiful
and handsome. No wonder he held the title #BeautifulMoon.
Interviewer: Really?
The interviewer only asked him once and was done, she
then turned to the next member instead — P'Wayu, who I
just saw this morning. He was surrounded by many fans at
the football field.
Interviewer: How?
Interviewer: Then?
...
The cameraman tried to find P'In, but could not even see his
shadow. There were only other members taking a break.
Wayu: I told you, go to sleep and you will see P'In for sure —
I mean Pha In.
Come to think of it, P'In was also in his third year, because
P'In was the third generation of UNISTAR.
Oho, I could imagine the scene. Even when P'Wayu was just
walking normally, he would have a hoard of fans running
after him. If one of them were to receive a drink from him,
no doubt that the drink bottle would be heavily hugged and
kissed until it couldn't retain its shape.
"No way! Get in line! If you skip, we will punish you." P'Noey
suddenly turned serious.
"Me too! Where is he? I wanna see him too." P'Noey was just
the same.
"Eh!" I exclaimed.
I couldn't help but think that the scene looked like he was
shooting a music video.
No, no! It was not the right time to think about his favorite
juice. I was nervous because a celebrity was staring at me
like I was doing something wrong. But I was more curious.
Normally, not many people would notice my existence
because I wasn't interesting or attractive enough.

[4] 'Ate dot' (eat dot) is a Thai slang word that means 'no
comment'. It's similar to replying with no comment as '...'
(pronounced "dot dot dot").
[5] Orientation month is a tradition in Thai universities.
It's made up of activities that are arranged by the seniors of
each faculty. The aim is to allow first-year students to bond
with each other and get to know their seniors. The main rule
of this ceremony is the freshman need to obey the seniors'
instructions.

Chapter 3 : The moon who
wanted to be invisible
Invisible Moon
Chapter 3
#WINisWIND
They said that many things in this world would stay the way
they were forever.
The air would always be the air, and a fading person like me
— how could I ever shine? Even on the first day of
orientation, my existence was already unnoticed.
P'Noey announced.
I sighed slightly. The first activity was over and I still didn't
get to say a word or even make an impression.
Damn invisible!
I couldn't help but admire how gently and stealthily P'In did
it. The birds didn't even realise that there was someone
nearby. After he was done, he jumped down.
'Hm?' I frowned. 'Why did P'In keep walking back and forth?
Is he doing a morning exercise at this time?'
"Um, Senior, don't you need to help the third years prepare
for the next activity?" I asked without thinking. I
immediately regretted it and wished I could take my words
back.
P'In could do whatever he wanted. It was none of my
business. I didn't have the right to say that.
P'In stood still for a while, then bent down to take a photo of
the weeds growing in between the crack of the tiles.
"Do not lose it! All freshmen must get as many signatures of
the seniors as you can. The signatures must include their
name, surname, year, faculty and signature. We'll check
your progress next week."
The senior signature collection book? I had read up about
this activity on the internet. Some seniors would give their
signatures easily, while others would request the freshmen
to do something in exchange.
"Next, P'Noey will talk about the Moon and Star contest for
our faculty."
"I know that all freshmen are interested in the Moon and
Star contest, as I have been asked about it a lot. Normally,
our university will hold the contest before the midterm
exam, so each faculty needs to have a list of nominated
candidates at the beginning of the semester."
"This year, for our university Moon contest, P'In and N'Wayu
will be part of the judging panel."
"Yep! Our faculty won't hold the official contest. P'In will be
the one to select the Moon candidate and some Seniors and
Teachers will be helping him. So, all freshmen must attend
the sessions everyday. Do not skip. P'In will keep observing
to find outstanding freshmen."
I was looking for P'In as well while thinking about the fact
that P'In came to this faculty but did not participate in any
activities.
"Yeah! This is the Black afara tree, isn't it that tree over
there?" They pointed to the balcony.
"By the way, how did you manage to call him? Do you really
have a UNISTAR member's number? Their agency has a very
strict privacy protection policy."
"I don't have it. I usually call him via Facebook. Sometimes
he didn't pick up. When I left a message, he also often
forgot to call back. But if you contact In's manager, you can
definitely reach him."
"Oh, a moment ago, the table was still dirty, but now it's
clean." A senior, who was responsible for preparing drinks
and snacks, was surprised.
"Who cleaned the table? Who cleaned the floor as well?
You?"
While the seniors argued, P'In had just finished washing the
wipes. Then he proceeded to mop the floor.

Chapter 4 : The Moon
Behind The Clouds
Invisible Moon
Chapter 4
#WINisWIND
If you asked what P'In was like, everyone would say that P'In
was the Invisible Moon.
But for me, P'In was like the light that shone brightly,
unhidden and unfiltered.
For instance, a picture of the grass that I saw every day, but
the shot he took highlighted the leaf of the grass with its
dew, accentuated by the morning orange sky in the
background. The colours and tone were in harmony.
Sometimes he took photos of a building or the tiles on the
floor or the head of a pipe, with a beautiful contrast
between light and shadow. Other times it would be things
that most people overlooked, such as the stain on the floor,
which created beautiful patterns.
Almost all the posts on P'In's Facebook fan page might have
been posted by admins or staff from his agency. The posts
were mostly about UNISTAR news, activities and live events.
He didn't tweet anything on his Twitter as well, only
retweeted others. He mostly retweeted for helping other
people such as missing dogs or cats, donating money to
support patients in need or about various charitable
foundations.
That's the only thing P'In said and his fans voluntarily made
this project a reality. P'In also helped to promote it.
"I just thought about it, but my fans did everything. Thank
you very much."
P'In kept it short, didn't show off, and didn't even seem to
want any credit for this. P'In gave all the credit to his fans.
I thought of when P'In did the cleaning job alone, and no one
knew.
What kind of person was P'In? The more I found out, the
more interested I became. P'In wasn't like anybody I had
ever met.
The reason his fans acted this politely, even though they all
yearned to see P'In, could be explained. It's because once,
there were some fans who didn't keep their manners and
got blamed.
IN FC @intrakornFC
Bored with some rude fans. Don't you know? P'In gives alms
to dedicate to his late parents. If you don't respect your idol,
you should at least respect the deceased.
"What dishes do you think P'In made for the alms today?"
"Please be quiet."
After he was done, the fans did the same. Many monks were
waiting for the alms in front of the temple.
P'In was also waiting. Some of his fans greeted him with a
smile or a wave, but his face was still emotionless, only a
few reactions — nodding slightly. But this was enough to
excite his fans.
After the fans were done, every monk was preparing to pray.
All fans bent their bodies down and raised their hands in
salute to pay respect. P'In as well.
Well, I thought the monk probably saw P'In and the same
group of fans every day, so he preached like that hoping
that the fans would realise the truth. So they should do a
good thing without too many expectations and suffer in the
end.
I saw P'In walking to another tree and took two plastic bags.
Inside one of them was two more boxes of prepared meals,
but I couldn't see the contents of the other bag. Then, he
walked across the road.

Chapter 5 : Follow The
Invisible Moon
Invisible Moon
Chapter 5
"To follow the star, use a compass and a map, but to follow
the Invisible Moon, use nothing."
#WINisWIND
"For you." P'In said shortly, handing a meal box to that old
man.
"It's okay." P'In said while opening another meal box and ate
together with the old man.
"The rainy season is coming, you could get sick. May I help
you find a room?" P'In asked.
"It's okay." The old man replied. "I don't want to trouble you.
I'm waiting for my son to take me home. My family has a lot
of debt and he is afraid that the usurer will come for us, so
it's not safe to stay at home. He asked me to leave
temporarily. My son promised that he will take me back
home after paying all the debt."
In the case of this old man, if his son was indeed good, how
could he let his father suffer like this? If he was really afraid
that the usurer would harm his father, he should find a
better shelter instead of letting his father stay homeless like
this. Wouldn't this be more dangerous than the usurer?
When P'In finished eating, he took the wallet and gave some
money to the old man — 60 baht.
After that, I saw P'In carrying the other plastic bag and
heading to the riverfront. He went into a small temple there.
I followed.
After P'In fed all the dogs, he paused for a moment and
counted the number of dogs. Then, P'In looked around,
searching for something.
"White, come here." P'In called gently, the dog followed his
voice.
P'In put the dog food on his hand and fed it. The dog came
to eat slowly.
While feeding it, P'In used his other hand to pat the dog
softly, and then he was smiling.
P'In...smiled...
His smile was full of kindness and purity, I had never seen
anyone who could smile as warmly as this.
Aside from feeding dogs, P'In also helped the temple. Why
was he so kind?
"Hi, Little In, are you here to feed the fish?" The old woman
greeted him.
"Isn't it too much, Little In? I'm glad that you want to help
me, but I'm worried you won't have enough money."
After buying them, P'In carried the bread packs toward the
riverside. He took one and put the rest on the ground. He
slowly tore the bread into small pieces and threw them into
the river.
I could only stand and look until P'In spoke without turning
to me.
"I've seen you since giving alms." He said while still feeding
the fish.
Seen...since...giving...alms.
When I was standing near him, I could see P'In up close. P'In
looked so much better in real life compared to his photos.
Plus, with his mysterious persona, somebody might mistake
him as the riverside angel.
P'In had a deep voice, but it sounded very soft and smooth.
It was a pity that he didn't seem to be a talkative person.
Why did he have to be born with such a handsome voice?!
Oh yeah, I remembered.
"Well, it's not easy to meet you and you are my senior.
Please sign for me."
I pretended to ask, even if I felt like it was too bold.
P'In just looked at it, then put the bread packs on top of the
book that I was trying to hand to him.
"Oh. You mean that if I help you feed all these, you will sign
for me, right?"
I knew that P'In was listening, but he was quiet for a long
time until he pointed out a myna bird perching on a bridge
nearby.
Well, P'In was gone! He was just here a few seconds ago.
I sighed again, threw the bread for the fish and looked at the
myna, exhaustedly 'Look, the bird?' Suddenly, a thought
flashed in my head. I think I understood what P'In implied.
Even though it was just a short sentence without any
specific meaning.

#WINisWIND
After I finished feeding the fish, I just went back for a nap in
my dorm room for a couple of hours. Then, I woke up and got
ready to join today's orientation session at 10 a.m.
"Hey, we've joined the sessions for two days but we haven't
seen P'In yet."
"Right, it's not only us, even the seniors haven't seen him
either."
"Of course! How can I miss it? I'm going to see P'In!"
"Hi! Oh, what's your name? I forgot. What do you wanna eat?
There are basil minced pork with rice and garlic chicken with
rice."
"My name is Win. I'll go for basil pork rice." I said, smiling.
Then, I took a seat. I was eating with friends who were in the
same activity group. Although I was a fading person,
everyone already knew me - even though they still forgot my
name.
But for me, who wasn't done eating, could only observe.
When a freshman asked the seniors for a signature, some
seniors would sign easily, some others only signed partially
and told the freshmen to come back and get the rest on
another day. Some seniors asked questions related to today's
activity such as the name of the business faculty founder.
Some seniors instructed the freshmen to do strange things
like dancing or shouting a love confession or even help the
seniors get a pretty girl's phone number.
"Did you know? Last year, there was a freshman who should
be rewarded by the seniors because he managed to collect
the most — 300 signatures!"
"Guess whose."
"P'In?"
The problem is, for a fading person like me, the more noisy
and outstanding others are around me, the less noticeable
my existence becomes.
"Hi! New group, are you ready for the Mudmee dance?"
"Answer me, what is our faculty colour? I'll sign for the one
who can answer."
"Chartreuse colour!"
I was the first one who answered, but they still didn't hear
me.
"Can I borrow?"
However...
P'In's face was still calm, he tore the paper into small strips,
then weaved them neatly until the paper became a thumb-
sized carp fish[2]. After he finished folding, he put it in a
plastic bag, which already had approximately more than
hundreds of paper carp fish, mostly made from recycled
paper.
"Are you folding carp fish?" I asked.

[1] Flag Race is the folk running sport for Thai people.
Players are divided into 2 teams and 2 sides, each side will
set up a post and each team needs to run into the
competitor side while holding a fabric flag. Whenever they
return to the post, they must pass the flag to the next player
on the team. Any player who can bring the flag to touch the
opponent's player first will become the winner.
[2] Folded/Weaved carp fish is Thai wisdom art. Originally
made from natural palm leaves. The leaves are usually cut
into long and thin strips, dried in the sun, then weaved into
the shape of a carp fish. The carp is a symbol of abundance
for Thai people.
Chapter 7 : The Carp Fish

Invisible Moon
Chapter 7
#WINisWIND
P'In's signature!
Leo: P'Kwang, N'In was trying to fold the carp with your
money. // His face looked concerned.
Sea: N'In? I did ask him. He said he felt relaxed when he's
folding them. Probably, it could help N'In to release stress,
like people who like to grit their teeth, shake their legs or
chew gum.
Natee: P'In folds the carp fish, I can fold a plane. What did
you say? It's not interesting? Hey...Why is folding a plane
not cool, huh? Look! It's difficult. What? You've already
folded a lot? No way! My folding technique is unique.
All in all, I couldn't find out anything about P'In from P'Natee
at all.
Wayu: The reason why P'In likes folding 'carp' fish? Because
he uses it to eat noodles, oh, that's 'chop' stick not 'carp'
stick. Or he must be making a movie, using 'clap' board.
Hahaha, not funny? Then, because P'In is neat and delicate,
he loves doing 'crepe' fabric.
Such a horrible homophone joke, but the fans still loved it,
as I saw many comments like: 'P'Wayu is funny', 'Love his
jokes', 'How can P'Wayu come up with such amazing jokes //
LMAO[2]'.
"You don't know?! I think the first-years will leave soon too,
believe me." P'Noey grinned at the female first-year
students and they all screamed excitedly.
"P'Sea!"
"P'In!" "P'Wayu!"
"Oops! Don't tell me, you took the entrance exam here
because of these two guys?" P'Noey was teasing the first-
years.
"Ohho!"
Once I arrived, the plaza was full of people as expected.
Most of them were female fans, but there were still some
male fans.
I didn't need to wait for too long before the event host came
out and fans started to scream. This host is the interviewer
that I often saw on the UNISTAR SHOWTIME programme.
I stared and focused on the first man who was tall and had
bright skin, wearing casual fashion clothing with a simple
colour tone. The design looked gorgeous and was suitable
for hot weather.
"Ahhh, P'Sea!"
"Ahhh, P'Wayu!"
Next, the fans screamed as if on cue as P'Wayu stepped out
the moment P'Sea was walking back in. When I saw the real
P'Wayu, I finally understood why he was able to attract
crowds whenever he walked around our university.
"Ahhh, P'Natee!"
"Ahhh, P'In!"
The P'In on the stage right now was ten times more
attractive than usual. All attention was on him even though
he was only walking normally, despite no expression on his
face.
After P'In walked back, it was P'Leo's turn. He was the main
model for this event. Normally, every brand campaign would
select the most suitable UNISTAR member to be featured as
its centre model. The selection criteria weren't specific.
Sometimes this position was chosen by the PD or by the
brand. This centre could also be selected through fan votes
or based on trends.
Once all the members were settled in on the stage, the host
came out to continue the event. Although the fashion show
didn't take so long, an interview with the UNISTAR members
would follow along with fan interactions. The staff
rearranged the stage, and replaced the makeshift runway
with chairs.
"Oh, but every effort for the fans was worth it right? Before
we conclude this event, we should give a chance to the
UNISTAR members to greet the fans. I heard some of you
have been waiting since morning just to see them today."
"Alright," P'Leo said. "Well, I'd like to thank the fans for
supporting me all along. I'm very happy to meet everyone
today. I promise to keep working hard and not to disappoint
you. Love you krub. Miss you."
"What about N'Wayu? Any sweet jokes for the fan club?"
"Huh? How?" The host couldn't get his joke. The fans and I
didn't either.
"If your fans are all your girlfriends, isn't that too much?
Several at a time? Very promiscuous." P'Natee suddenly
criticised.
"Thank you for coming. Since you came this time, you must
come next time as well. If you dare to not come and see me,
I'll be angry. Seriously. Honestly."
P'Natee showed his thumb to the fans, as a sign of feeling
neglected. And the fans also screamed. P'Natee's
characteristic was straightforward and very direct. If he was
mad at seeing fans ignore him, he would just say so.
Surprisingly, this charm was the reason his fans couldn't
help but fall for him.
"We've now come to the last person, N'In. What would you
like to say to the fans?"
P'In slowly lifted the mic and reached out to pick a bag that
was hidden behind his chair.
P'In looked over at the fans who were wearing grey shirts,
he looked like he was trying to estimate the number.
I looked at P'In, realising that it's not surprising that his fans
loved him so much. Even though P'In didn't often post,
respond, or appear anywhere, he didn't even need to utter
sweet words as fan service. His love for them was shown
through honest caring actions like this and it was more than
enough.
But P'In and I were quite far from each other. He was on the
stage, under the spotlight, while I was surrounded by the
crowd. How was it possible?
P'In pointed to the side of the stage, where the staff had
arranged for the fans to line up for his paper carps.

When I got into the queue for P'In's carp, I didn't have that
card yet, so I couldn't get into the priority line, and needed
to wait with other fans. Many fans who weren't P'In's fans
also fought hard to get in the queue. I realised the benefit of
being an invisible person just then, because I could sneak in
the queue, and nobody noticed. Finally, I managed to get
one. Luckily. Although I felt a little guilty, it was P'In...P'In
who told me through his gesture that I should come and get
it. So I assumed P'In wanted to give it to me. Well, that was
how it looked anyway.
"Oh, it's you. Sorry, what's your name again?" The first one
who greeted me was Boss, a first-year student. He could
easily befriend anyone, including me. Boss was the first
person who greeted me and didn't forget to accept my friend
request on Facebook. I was so glad, even though he forgot
my name, it didn't matter.
"The first thing you need to know," Mr. Chana said, using the
mic attached to the podium.
"Then you just need to stop liking UNISTAR." Mr. Chana said
with a smile.
"No, I can't."
Many students replied unanimously.
"P'Wayu is my husband."
The whole lecture room now was filled with laughter. Mr.
Chana was smiling along and continued.
I just realised even the PD of UNISTAR had his own fan club.
No one answered.
Fading? I sighed.
After class, I had lunch with my classmates, the same group
with Boss. I was delighted. Even though they almost didn't
notice I was around, they didn't forget to look for me.
"How was your first day of classes? Today, we'll be doing the
activity that everyone is looking forward to — The buddy-
code family activity!"
"Yes."
"I can't hear you! Louder, please. Otherwise, we'll go back,
and you'll miss your free meal."
"Yes!!!"
Found it.
"101 krub."
"Hmm...but our batch was like this batch. We had a 101 code
number."
"Just wait for a second. I'll find a way to give you your buddy-
code mission."
'Sweep leaves'
Today was the first day of the semester. It was the first time
I've seen P'In wearing the university uniform, a combination
of a long-sleeve white shirt and a pair of black trousers. I felt
like this XU uniform looked really good on P'In. Especially
with a tiny golden UNISTAR pin on his shirt, a symbol that
could only be worn by UNISTAR members. I had seen a group
photo of UNISTAR members wearing their university
uniforms, and it was stunning. The significance of the
UNISTAR pin was probably like the gear of the engineering
faculty[5].
P'Tong had said earlier that when our buddy-code senior was
satisfied with our mission, they would bring us for a treat.
Oh, right! P'Tong also said that this year, only the first-year
and third-year batches had 101 students. Plus, P'In's first
name initials — Intrakorn — in Thai, was the same as mine.

A rock couldn't fly upon the sky, unlike the moon that could
rise from the horizon. Similar to the wish of being by the
moon's side would just be an unimaginable dream.
"Yes." I nodded.
He didn't drive, nor called a taxi, nor did we take the bus. We
were only walking.
"Oh, Little IN! You came today. Take a seat." The grandpa
greeted P'In warmly. Later, he turned to me and narrowed his
eyes.
"I'm kidding. I've never seen you bring any friend, any
senior, or any brother before. He's the first one. Really. So I
just asked."
Was it true? I was the only one who had ever come to this
place with P'In? I looked at P'In, surprised. However, his face
was still emotionless, no response as always.
"Alright." I nodded.
"No problem, Little IN. Finally, you changed your order. You
always ordered the coconut milk dishes."
Our table was too quiet while waiting for the food. P'In was
watching as the grandpa was cooking, in the meantime, he
was folding tissues into a carp fish. I was amazed that P'In
didn't even look at it, but the carp was folded beautifully.
This was the first time that I had seen P'In with a different
expression, other than emotionless. I fell silent. At first, I had
thought P'In just liked folding carp fish. After seeing his
expression now, I was aware that carp fish might be
meaningful to him in some way — a very significant
meaning.
"No." P'In placed the folded carp on the table. I was staring
at it. If P'In didn't take it, should I snatch it and keep it in my
bag? It was the carp fish from a UNISTAR Moon!
"No way! Our buddy-code family only has you and me?" I
was shocked.
"Yes." He nodded, calmly.
"Okay." P'In nodded slightly. His hand laid the carp on the
table in front of me.
"Oh, but there were a lot of people. How could you see me?"
I couldn't help but ask, reassuring that I didn't presume it.
P'In was probably asking how I could see the Invisible Moon
like him.
"Well, I don't know. I just saw. I couldn't explain it." I told him
the truth.
"Uh..." I blinked.
My question about how P'In could see me, even when I was
so fading — he didn't know either — this was his answer.
"And why did you point for me to take the paper carp?" I
continued.
I widened my eyes.
"Huh? Yes?"
"Today I made the jujube juice for you, don't forget to take it
back home."
"Ahhh P'In! Wait for me~" The girls' voices were growing
faint as we got further and further away.
Wait...What?!
P'In had time to put his money on the table even when he
was in a rush?
But if the meal was already paid, then all should be fine.
Not only 'paid on table' but also — 'here you go' — the tasty
suki which I hadn't finished eating. Only in a few seconds of
escaping, he even took the claypot and ran all the way.
"Okay, thank you krub. What's about yours? Would you mind
eating together?"
"Huh? Treat?"
After that, P'In and I sat on the bench beside the river
nearby.
The claypot was just perfectly warm, not too hot. So I placed
it on my lap.
"Oh. Really? But if it's not convenient for you, that's all
right!" I would love to go though, but I knew he was very
busy.
P'In took his cell phone from his pocket — MW Skyline, the
latest model. He dialled a number.
I was puzzled until the call was answered and P'In spoke
through the phone.
"Archawin Deshsakul."
"Yes, a first-year."
P'In just spoke for a minute and hung up. Then he turned to
me.
"Save."
But I heard that his agency was very strict about this.
Despite that, P'In was the first person who didn't forget me,
and also cared about me. Even the seniors in his year still
didn't have his number. So I must be special — even if it's
just as a buddy-code family.
"Yes." He nodded.
"Just remembered...today."

P'In was the first person who didn't treat me like air. Despite
the fact that it was just part of his role as a buddy-code
senior, I was still satisfied.
I was walking with him back to the dorm. After he returned
the claypot to the grandpa, the grandpa gave him a bottle
of jujube juice, the very one he was holding right now.
I nearly asked for his room number, but stopped myself just
in time. So I only said...
"The UNISTAR members have been busy all the time. They
have a ton of events and projects."
"You don't have my signature yet, right? I can sign for you.
Please let me look at IN's signature for a few more
moments."

Chapter 11 : A Rose From
The Moon
Invisible Moon
Chapter 11
#WINisWIND
"I envy you. Can you help me ask for his signature?"
"Ahhhh!"
"My friend went to Hi-Touch[1] event and met P'In. She said
P'In really smelled nice too."
"Rose Day usually takes place in the first semester and Lily
Day will take place in the second semester. On Rose Day, all
the Moon candidates from every year and every faculty are
going to have a rose with their name tags on it. They'll walk
around the campus and when the Moons meet someone
who they deem as most beautiful, they will give the rose to
that person."
P'In was the university Moon and the business faculty Moon.
"Uh...then who received the rose from P'In last year?" Boss
asked the question that was just on my mind.
"What's so funny? Who did P'In give the rose to?" Boss
asked again. He was just as curious as everyone else was.
"The one who received the rose from P'In is the most noble
woman in our business faculty."
Besides the fans, MWTV staff also came to film P'In and
P'Wayu. UNISTAR summoned the crowd as always and I
wasn't surprised anymore. It was a good chance to see P'In
and P'Wayu.
"Ahhhh P'Wayu!"
"Arhhh!"
P'Wayu said, spinning a rose with his hand. Its stalk was
about a foot long with a tag hanging — I assumed it had
P'Wayu's name written on it. The beautiful rose was in full
bloom.
"Ready? One...two..."
The worst part is, P'Wayu didn't just throw it. He softly bit
the rose petals using his lips, with a seductive gaze. The
fans went wilder.
His fans were rushing towards the rose, crashing into each
other.
"Ahhh! P'In!!!"
The screaming was so loud, and I saw P'In coming with ten
guards. This was the first time I had seen him with guards.
It's unavoidable because he had no choice but to appear
today. He couldn't be invisible, and his fans were waiting
expectantly.
"Oh...Lady Maria."
The fans burst into excitement when they saw P'In giving
the rose to someone. They tried to scramble inside, craving
to know who the lucky person was.
This was the rose from P'In — the rose that he gave to me
with his own hand. I thought about the purpose of Rose Day.
The Moon from every year and every faculty would give a
rose to — the most beautiful one.
It's just a rose, but why did I feel like there were infinite
butterflies flying in my heart. Why?

Chapter 12
#WINisWIND
I kept thinking about the rose from P'In the whole day. I
couldn't even concentrate in my afternoon class. I kept
recalling the moment that P'In was walking towards me and
handed the rose to me among the many who surrounded us.
At that time, he was only looking at me, only focusing on me.
Why? I couldn't think of a valid reason. Why did P'In give the
rose to me?
My friends were talking about Rose Day and they were all
curious about who got the rose from P'In. Somehow, it
seemed like my fading trait was extraordinarily effective,
because none of the MWTV or fans' cameras managed to
record me, not even for a second. So it became a super
mysterious topic — Where was P'In's rose now?
My hubby is In @myhusbandisin
Since we couldn't see who got it, then IN's rose belongs to all
DomKati. #InvisibleMoon #UNISTAR
"Hey, look! Turns out, the one who got P'Wayu's rose was a
giant girl. She is our university's weight-lifter. Not surprising
for the strongest to succeed in grabbing it."
I heard my friends gossiping about today's event.
"Win, did P'In say anything about this?" Parn suddenly asked
me.
I was startled and felt nervous. Then I just realised that she
was probably randomly asking because P'In was my buddy-
code senior, so they thought that I might know something.
IN: // Thinking.
IN: No.
IN: I like food. Why should I like the cook? // Still emotionless.
He just liked to eat, it didn't mean he should like the one who
cooked the food.
Natee+IN : // No comment.
What about me? Now that I had become his one and only
buddy-code brother, would I be the person that he cared for
as well?
Leo: I don't think N'In will ever have one. Because DomKati
doesn't like the idea of N'In having an imaginary lover. N'In's
image is very positive. He is the model of social
responsibility. His fans are concerned as this could affect his
image negatively.
Leo: It's true. But in the case of N'Natee and N'Wayu, it's the
total opposite. The fans want them to be a real couple,
obviously.
Wayu: What the hell! My eyes aren't big, but I have eyes.
Shut your dog-mouth up!
I couldn't get rid of the thought that DomKati didn't want P'In
to have an imaginary lover, so I went to search on Twitter
and finally understood why.
P'In's image was so pure, so the fans wouldn't allow anything
negative to impact him. For example, when P'In was offered
the lead role for a BL drama. Instead of supporting it, the
fans were aggressively opposing it. Even though this drama
wouldn't have any intense love scenes, they were still
worried about his image. Since the fans became more and
more aggressive, MW Entertainment thereby decided to
replace the actor.
Not only did P'In not care about love, his fans also didn't
want P'In to have love. No surprises there, now he was really
the UNISTAR who was most likely to be on the boat cradle[1].
The next day, I woke up a little late but still reached the class
on time. I sat with Boss and his friends. Unfortunately, they
hadn't stopped talking about P'In's rose yet. Now that I know
how P'In's fans viewed this issue, I wasn't going to risk
mentioning it. Even though I was happy to receive his rose, if
the fans found out that P'In gave the rose to a man, it would
eventually affect his reputation.
"May I ask who, please? What is the criteria for selecting the
candidate?" Boss asked.
"Oh, it's you! IN's buddy-code junior. You're the one who got
IN's signature." P'Noey seemed excited.
"Wait... You really did choose me?" I still couldn't believe it.
"Yes."
"Come here."
P'In was quiet for a few seconds, then I heard him asking
about the location of his place. I assumed he was talking
with his manager. Maybe he was working.
"Yes."
"Can't come?"

Chapter 13
#WINisWIND
I was still in a blur after talking with P'In on the phone. I only
snapped out of my short trance when P'In sent me a string
of messages informing me his exact location and that he
would be waiting.
I was startled again when I heard the word 'IN'. Wait, it was
'international', not P'In.
"Oh no!" I held my temple. What was wrong with me? Why
was I so sensitive to the word 'IN' today? They weren't even
referring to P'In, but I kept hearing them. What was
happening?
I got into the glass elevator and pressed the button for the
7th floor. Each floor button was labelled with its occupant.
For instance, the 6th floor was a theatre and the 7th floor
was a photography studio that outsiders could rent, but was
mostly occupied by MW media works.
"Arrived?"
"Okay, a moment."
"Win."
A familiar voice attracted me. It was the first time that P'In
had called me by my nickname. It made my heart flutter,
and when I finally saw P'In, my heart started to beat faster
in my chest.
P'In was wearing our university uniform just like me, but in
addition, he looked amazing with his makeup and hair done.
Apparently, he had a photoshoot.
"May I take him in? Only half an hour." P'In told the
receptionist who was still looking at P'In with shining eyes.
She nodded, visibly distraught. She probably didn't even
hear what P'In said anyway, just focusing on his angelic
face.
"Come here."
It didn't take long before the door opened again. I saw P'In
come back with another guy, who was fashionably dressed,
his eyes scanning me, as if trying to assess me.
Then, he pulled the chair and sat in front of me. P'In also
came closer.
"This boy isn't bad at all. Pull up the bangs a little, cut some
hair and set a proper hairstyle. He'll look awesome!"
I was blinking, as I had no idea what he was talking about.
"N'In haven't told you yet?" This guy looked a bit surprised.
It took a while, but not too long before the hairstylist began
using a hair dryer, comb, and hair gel to style my hair. I had
never tried doing this before, so I studied and memorised
how he did it. I thought it was really interesting.
"Wow!" I exclaimed.
"If you have time to do your makeup and dye your hair into
a brown tone, it will definitely be perfect!" This guy
suggested.
"Alright." He acknowledged.
"Huh?"
P'In used wet and dry tissue from the makeup table to clean
my face. When I was first touched by him, I felt a little faint
and had to grab my chair and close my eyes to get a hold of
myself.
"No." He answered.
P'In placed the makeup powder on the table and took his
phone.
"Why don't you ask our agency? They are willing to give you
complimentary items, so you don't need to borrow mine this
often."
"Not that often." P'In said while moving his face closer to
mine. He was concentrating on brushing my eyebrows. So I
bit my lip. My heart was beating a little faster than before.
"Okay, I'll return when I'm back." P'In reassured him. P'Wayu
hung up after he heard the reply.
I flinched when P'In applied a red lip tint on my lips. His face
had no expression, but he seemed very focused. The more I
watched him, the more I became distracted. So I had to turn
my attention away.
When he finished, I compressed my lips a bit, and now
everything was done.
"Oh my God!"
'Who is he?'
How could he turn into a super cute flower boy like this?!

For the first time ever, an air like me turned visible. I didn't
simply condense into liquid or solidify. I glowed.
"Alright, Win, you can do it! You need to stop being like the
air."
I then went out and walked through the mall with more
confidence. Some people were noticing me, whispering or
poking their friends to look at me. I walked faster than I
usually would as I was nervous, and didn't make eye contact
with anyone to avoid them approaching me.
At first, I rushed towards the exit to the sky train, but I
noticed a skincare and cosmetic shop — Molly Welly — the
name was so familiar. This was the brand of the cosmetics
that P'In robbed from P'Wayu — the makeup which he
applied on my face.
"Uh...alright." I nodded.
'I...am a fanboy?'
She was speaking with a dreamy sound. She even took the
lip tester with P'Sea's scent for me to try on.
"Uhh..." I swallowed hard.
"Then who do you like the most?" She asked and looked
around secretly before whispering to me.
"Ahhh! I got you. You like N'In, right? I'll bring it to you now."
"Oh, you use cosmetics too." She was looking at the stuff I
was holding.
"I'll buy this one." I thoughtlessly chose the bottle with P'In's
photo.
"I'll choose for you. N'In has been super popular recently.
This is his last card. I'll give it to you."
Because P'In was the one who gave me this makeover, I was
very reluctant to wash my face. But I had to.
Yeah, why? I asked myself that too. Why did I want to be the
Moon? Other than escaping my invisible life, I couldn't think
of other reasons.
I didn't think much when I posted it the other day. I was just
impressed with what P'In did and decided to post. I used the
hashtag but didn't refer to P'In directly because I was
worried he would be harassed by fans.

"I've never seen him before, but he's very cute. I can't
believe I've never noticed him before!"
Suddenly...
"Ahhh!"
On usual days, being late for a class wasn't a big deal for an
invisible person like me. Nobody even noticed when I got in
the classroom. However, I forgot that today was different.
His friends were waving their hands, greeting me, but they
seemed to think that I was a new student. They didn't
recognise me as the fading Win.
"What? It's Win! Ahhh~ What did you do? How did you
suddenly become this good-looking?"
"Is that really Win? Actually, you do look like you from
before, but what made you stand out today?"
I couldn't tell them that P'In had helped me. Because I didn't
want everyone to misunderstand that P'In was unfair. I
wouldn't allow any negative rumours to affect his
reputation.
"Hi! How are you?" Boss greeted them casually. Boss might
be the only one who knew all of the business freshmen, and
they seemed to know Boss as well. However, they were
glancing at me with a curious expression. Perhaps, they
thought they hadn't seen me before.
"The teachers and IN are inside now," P'Noey said. "The Star
nominees can come in first. The Moon nominees will need to
wait outside for a while. I'll call you in later, once they are
done."
"Well, the process wasn't that serious. Mr. Chana and P'In
just interviewed us with a few questions. They decided
based on how we answered."
"What makes you unique? Why are you good enough for me
and Intrakorn to select you as the Moon?"
It took me by surprise.
"At first, I was very curious why Intrakorn chose you. But
seeing you today, I think you look really attractive. Intrakorn
indeed has a good eye."
"Alright. That's all from me. It's your turn, Intrakorn." Mr.
Chana passed the baton on to P'In.
"If you want to, I'll let you be. If you don't want to, I'll give it
to your friend."
"Congratulations!"
Honestly, I felt guilty. I was worried that Boss would feel bad
either way. It might take some time before I could talk to
him about this, without hurting each other's feelings.
"I didn't mean that you aren't good enough, Bodin. I like you
too. And Intrakorn shares my thoughts."
"If our business faculty want to win the university Moon. I'll
definitely choose you, Bodin."
"You have all the attributes that would be perfect for the
university Moon. You have an outstanding appearance and
plenty of special talents. Not to mention it's easy for you to
become popular with your character. If I choose you, at least
this year, you'd be in the top three of the university Moon
position for sure."
Mr. Chana was way too direct. Even I felt a little hurt for him.
"So, if I need to pick one of you, I'll pick the one that could
bring in bigger results, even if it's more challenging."

Chapter 16 : The Smiling

Invisible Moon
Chapter 16

"Win."
But for me, the fact that P'In was standing right in front of
me brought out an inexplicable sense of excitement within
me. I couldn't understand why, but this feeling seemed to
have intensified over time.
Mr. Chana did say that P'In would conduct a special training
to help the selected candidate.
I was amazed by it. For me, who had been invisible my whole
life and suddenly becoming 'visible', I didn't know if it would
be possible to switch back into a fading person as easily as
P'In did.
P'In was leading the way until we arrived at the student
committee building. Generally, the building is restricted to
the student body. Since P'In was the university Moon, he had
the privilege.
"I have the key." P'In took out a key without turning to me.
This must be the training room for the Moon and Star
candidates!
"Let's try." P'In said while leading me to the other side of the
room.
"Bam..."
P'In moved towards me, raising his hands. He was acting like
he was trying to scare me, with an emotionless face. Only
the 'Bam' sound was a little louder, even if it was still in a
monotone.
"Huh?" I blinked.
For real?!
P'In went quiet for a while. I felt so bad because P'In had
chosen me to be the Moon, but I was useless. I would only
disappoint him.
I was worried, so I turned to look at P'In. However, he didn't
seem to be disappointed, he seemed to be in deep thought
instead.
The song that P'In just played wasn't too difficult. It sounded
familiar. It might be the very first song that I had learned.
Oh, I remembered. The song laments the love for a woman,
composed by Prince Benbadhanabongse, the son of King
Rama V of Thailand.
"P'In, the song you just played is called 'Lao Duang Duan[3]',
right?"
The sound of khim that I was playing merged with the sound
of P'In playing the ranat in my head. It was the first time that
I could play Thai music with emotions.
"Com Arts Moon plays the Thai fiddle." P'In stated briefly, but
I could understand immediately.
For the university Moon contest this year, the candidate from
the Faculty of Communication Arts would be playing the Thai
fiddle; a traditional Thai musical string instrument. I assumed
that he was talented and could play it well, otherwise, P'In
wouldn't need to point it out.
"How about this song?" P'In grabbed the ranat sticks again.
He had picked a new song for me, so I watched him with
keen interest.
P'In began to play the song, this time the tempo was almost
two times faster. I was stunned. It was so fast that I thought
if I played like this, my hands could break.
"Oh!"
I finally recognised the song when P'In reached its long beat
section.
The melody that P'In was playing from the start until the end
was so powerful.
"Can you play this song?" P'In asked. I almost dropped the
khim sticks when I heard him.
"Huh?!" I exclaimed.
"I'll try."
It finally —
Bam!
However...
"P'In. I'm really sorry that I broke the strings, I think playing
music doesn't suit me." I decided to be honest with P'In.
"Yes." He said while pulling out the string from the roll then
replaced it on the khim.
"My grandpa was a Thai music teacher." P'In replied and held
out his hand towards me.
He took it. He used its tip to strum the strings to test the
sound as he adjusted the pins using the tuning tool.
"It's been ten years since grandpa passed away," P'In said.
However, P'In didn't mind about this, he bent his head down
then continued.
"I bet your grandma loves to watch you play the ranat." I
said.
"Huh? Why are you treating me?" I asked. I was touched that
P'In didn't only train me for the Moon contest, he also cared
for my diet.
"Oh!" I just realised. That day when P'In and I ate suki
together, P'In did say that he wanted to compensate by
treating me to a meal at another time.
At first, I was going to answer that anything was fine for me.
However, I was reminded of the 'Moon in the Kitchen' TV
program that I saw on Twitter recently.
In that TV program, P'In was the main chef and P'Wayu was
the assistant. In fact, P'Wayu wasn't really a good assistant
as he had always sneakily tasted everything. It seemed like
P'Wayu's duty was only to 'eat', because he was the best of
all UNISTAR members at making such an appetising
persuasive expression when eating delicious food. The
audience could feel their mouths watering just by watching
P'Wayu eat. It's no wonder P'Wayu was selected as the
centre brand ambassador for foodstuff.
"If you don't mind, I want to eat any dish that you make."
After speaking out, I felt a bit shy. I wasn't sure if it was too
direct or not, because P'In was a UNISTAR. I was just his
buddy-code junior. Him offering to treat me to a meal was
already kind enough, how could I dare to ask my buddy-code
senior to cook for me?
"Follow me."
"Right." He nodded.
If any DomKati found out about this, would they murder me?
After that, P'In led me out of the room. We were the last
users, so I turned off the lights. However, when I walked into
the hallway outside, I couldn't find P'In. There was no sign of
him at all.
I knew P'In was the invisible Moon, but normally P'In wasn't
invisible to me.
"Bam..."
Suddenly, someone popped out from behind the door.
For now, there was happiness on his face that could rarely be
seen. His lips curled up a bit, along with those smiling eyes,
causing my heart to almost stop racing.

Chapter 17
#WINisWIND
Green curry...
"Can you wait?" P'In asked while walking to the kitchen. P'In
put some uncooked rice in the cooker, washed the rice for a
while, then plugged it in.
"Uh..." I thought P'In meant that this recipe would take time
to cook.
"You can sit and wait," P'In said as he saw me standing and
watching.
"Make the coconut milk," P'In said in a flat tone. He then took
out something from under the cabinet — a coconut grater[1].
"Yes." P'In nodded. And took the knife that was hanging to
chop the coconut.
"Oh, P'In, you don't have to trouble yourself like this." I felt
so guilty because I requested to eat a dish that P'In could
make. If I had known it would trouble him to grate the
coconut, I would rather choose a simpler dish like Thai
omelette[2] with rice.
I was watching P'In chop the coconut into half, revealing the
white meat inside it.
"Know how to?" P'In tilted his head. I then looked at the
coconut grater and scratched my head.
"I'll try." I had never done this before, but I had seen how it
was done in Thai period dramas. I thought that it wouldn't be
that difficult.
When P'In lent his hand to help me, I felt like it was much
easier and faster. P'In probably had done this hundreds of
times before, as he was obviously practised.
"Tired?"
But then him speaking gently near my ears like this was
actually causing my whole body to weaken.
"But..."
But I was sure of one thing; if DomKati saw P'In like this, their
hearts would have been squeezed and melted within his
hand like the coconut earlier.
P'In divided the coconut milk into three different bowls by its
consistency, the leftover coconut residue was placed in a
container.
"P'In, let me help you wash it." I asked him to wash the used
equipment. P'In hesitated but nodded slightly.
When the pan reached the proper heat, P'In fried the chicken
with the thinnest coconut milk. Since I had already finished
washing, I helped him tidy up.
Once cooked, P'In put the well-done chicken meat into a pot.
Then, he fried the green curry paste with the thicker coconut
milk. The scent of his cooking was so fragrant. I eventually
understood why P'Wayu always sneaked to taste something
while P'In was cooking. It's because the smell was super
mouthwatering. The food wasn't even done yet, but I felt so
irresistibly hungry now.
P'In fried the curry paste until the coconut milk became
creamy and floated up. He seasoned the paste and put it in
the pot with the cooked chicken and heated it again. He also
put in eggplants and added a little more coconut milk. When
it boiled, P'In then added the chilli and kaffir lime leaves.
The food didn't only smell nice, but it also looked appetising!
P'In just nodded and sat opposite to me, while I took multiple
photos.
When I tasted it — the hot green curry with warm rice, it was
a perfect combination. Incredibly delicious!
This green curry was indeed the most delicious dish that I
had ever eaten. Tendered chicken and fragrant coconut
scent. What I liked best was the mellow taste of curry.
"It's the most delicious! I want to eat more. Can you cook for
me again?"
P'In even paused from eating and looked at me, still silent.
"Oh right. And the green curry has a long history since the
Ayutthaya[3] period. The green curry recipe was developed
from liang curry and jungle curry with no coconut milk.
Afterwards, the coconut milk and dried chilli were added in
the recipe, so the red curry and spicy curry had been
created. Later, they changed the red chilli to green chilli and
pounded it with coriander which made the curry become
green. That's why it's called 'green' curry. In Thai words, we
call it 'sweet-green curry' and the 'sweet' word doesn't mean
the taste, but it means the sweet soft green colour of the
curry."
"UNISTAR?" I blinked.
"What else?"
What? What did I just say? How did it come to this topic?
I widened my eyes.
"Oh." He said.

And here is how green curry that P'In made should look like,
and we should eat with rice. YUM!
If you have a chance to visit Thailand. Besides 'suki' from
previous chapter, don't forget to add 'green curry' and 'Thai
omelette' into your eating list. Also, I recommend to visit
Ayutthaya. It is an old and beautiful city. If you want to see
the characteristic of ancient Thailand, Ayutthaya city would
be the right choice for you. ^_^
Thank you for all support! I'm glad to see feedbacks and
comments. P'In and N'Win also happy too. ^^ I'll try to find
time to work on the next chapter and update as soon as
possible. Thank you so much~ LOVE

Invisible Moon
Chapter 18
#WINisWIND
"I love reading books and articles, but I don't like textbooks
as much. Oh, I used to join a general knowledge contest, but
I didn't win..."
How?
It was the list of judges for this year's XU Moon and Star
contest.
I knew that normally, my university would change the
judges every year. Each year, teachers from each faculty
would be randomly selected to be fair. However, this year
was special, as there were students who would be part of
the judging panel — P'Wayu and P'In — the current UNISTAR
members.
The first judge was the Head of Department from the Faculty
of Architecture. The second one was the Assistant Professor
from the Faculty of Science, Department of Astronomy, and
the third was a special lecturer from the Faculty of Arts,
Department of Chinese Language.
His idea was indeed not bad. I sort of agree with him. It's
better than letting me perform something common that I'm
not even good at. This unusual performance could probably
turn out memorable for the audience.
"Eat up."
"P'In... a few days ago I went to the overpass, but that old
man wasn't there anymore. Do you know where he went?"
I asked him about the old man that P'In often gave food to.
My guess? P'In probably went to meet the son and told him
that his father was facing difficulties, but was still waiting for
the son. P'In's intention was only to let the son feel
sympathetic, nothing else. But P'In said that the son seemed
really shocked. So I assumed that the son might already
know who P'In was. The son knew that P'In was the UNISTAR
member who had a good reputation for social responsibility.
P'In, who was so rarely seen, went to see the son himself.
How could the son think in any other way? The son must
have been scared to death. It's obvious that if the son still
ignored his father and neglected him, the father would
become P'In's responsibility. If P'In's fans found out, then the
son would be in trouble.
"Do you still feed the fish and stray dogs recently?"
I smiled for DomKati after hearing his reply. P'In was really
different from other idols. Although P'In didn't express much
emotion, he indeed cared for his fans. Although his fans
were willing to help, P'In still thought that they already did a
lot. P'In tried to do his best on his own without disturbing
anyone else.
But I was still wondering. Did P'In know that I posted that
tweet? But I didn't dare to ask him.
"P'In. Let me wash the cloth for you." I picked up the used
cloth and washed it.
"Don't like?"
"Yes, I...I like." Even my voice was shaking too. The world
around me seemed to blur out.
The cloth was already washed clean, but my hand was too
weak to turn off the tap, so the water kept running through
my hand.
But I couldn't stand this any longer. My body was limp and I
had to hold the counter as I went back to the dining table.
"Oh thank you krub, P'In." I told him, feeling relieved that
the topic had changed.
"Wanna eat?" P'In picked one and pushed the bowl towards
me. I thanked him and picked one too.
I realised that I should repay him too. But what can I give
him?
I took my bag and searched for it. Where was it? I couldn't
remember where I put it. There was too much stuff in my
bag.
"P'In, sorry but I'll just..." I said as I took out the bunch of
things out of my bag – such as notebooks, books, a pencil
case, and so on – so it would be easier to find the chocolate.
"Oh no!" I was shocked because it was the lip balm that I
recently bought.
The problem was, it wasn't just any normal lip balm. The
tube was labelled UNILIP and the brand 'Molly Welly'. But on
the other side of the tube, it was P'In's character with the
UNISTAR logo.
One would know that it was a UNISTAR product even if they
were looking from the Planet Pluto[1], it was obvious that
the user was a UNISTAR fan.
"My sister is a UNISTAR fan. She always uses this lip balm,
and I just like the scent. So I bought one as well."
While I was anxious, P'In came out from his bedroom. His
hand was holding a bottle and he handed it to me.
I gazed at him in astonishment.
"You like the scent," P'In answered, before reaching out his
hand to press the spray. The scent diffused around us, it was
a very soft mellow smell.
Right! It was P'In's scent — but not that exactly. P'In's scent
had a more concentrated coconut milk fragrance.
"I have another one," P'In said. "You like, take it."
"I really appreciate it, but I don't think I can take it," I
lowered my head in shame.
Today, I've received too much from him without any chance
to repay them.
Why did P'In keep asking 'Don't like?' and making me say 'I
like' every time? He left me no choice but to admit that I like
it.
P'In lifted his eyes from the chocolate bar in his hand, and
looked at me. He blinked, twice.
"Why is your face red?" P'In asked. He didn't take his eyes
off me.
Unexpectedly, P'In didn't only say it, but also reached his
hand across the dining table and slightly poked my cheek.
When I felt the touch from his warm finger, I felt like the
heat from my face was flowing all over my body. I could
even hear the sound of my heart beating so loudly.
"Yes." P'In nodded. He took back his hand and used it — the
hand that had poked my cheek — to pop another strawberry
into his mouth.
I swallowed hard.

Really?
Nevertheless...
I hadn't seen P'In since then. But I saw from other UNISTAR
members' Twitter and Instagram that they were filming the
music video for an advertisement this week. P'In must be
busy.
Once P'In sat in front of the ranad ek, he raised his hands to
pay respect and began playing.
Fabulous!
"At first, I didn't want to be a UNISTAR." P'In held the mic and
answered.
This was the first time I could hear P'In speaking clearly
using full structured sentences, and he didn't redact the
sentences into a few words. Apparently, P'In was capable of
communicating in proper language.
"If so, then why did you choose to be here?" PD Kwang, one
of the judges, asked back.
P'In was standing still for a second. His gaze looked distant,
perhaps thinking of someone. Then, P'In answered.
"My grandma said, there were still many people in this world
trying to find happiness, without ever understanding — what
true happiness is."
P'In continued.
"So, the reason why I'm standing right here is because I wish
for everyone to see what true happiness is."
I was reminded of many good things that P'In had done. P'In
rarely posted on Twitter, but he always retweeted whenever
somebody needed help. P'In had never posted his own selfie
on IG, but he posted beautiful images of nature.
P'In barely used any words, but he presented happiness
through his actions.
"I see. This is the last question. What is true happiness for
you, N'In?" PD Kwang asked.
P'In continued.
I believed, for many fans, P'In wasn't only their idol. P'In was
their positive energy. Whenever they were encountering any
difficulties, whenever they were feeling down and worthless,
whenever they were losing someone important, only seeing
what P'In had done, receiving the happiness that P'In had
shared, it could encourage them, it could give them strength,
and it could make them look forward to the future.
"Win, fighting!"
I was a DomKati.

#WINisWIND
"Thank you ka. This is the schedule for the Moon contest.
We will have a rehearsal on the day before the contest. If
you need any special equipment for the performance,
please let us know."
"Win! What are you looking for?" Phan asked me. I flinched
slightly.
"TV program..."
"The one who has the fewest signatures must dance in front
of everyone as a penalty. And we have a surprise! The top
three freshmen who collected the most signatures will be
receiving a reward. We'll treat you to free meals and drinks
tonight!"
After the seniors received all the signature books from us,
they started counting while P'Tong led us to practice the
cheering song. When we all sang too much until we had
almost no voice left, P'Tong made an announcement during
the snack break.
The one who got the fewest signatures was a humorous guy.
I guess he purposely didn't do it. It's not surprising that one
dance wasn't a big deal for him.
"And the winners with the most signatures are... First place
— wow! Two hundred and thirty-eight signatures."
P'Tong was driving and P'Noey sat in the back with me.
I thought of the dinner I had with P'In in his dorm, but it was
a bit too awkward to tell other people. So I just nodded
slightly.
"Wow! That's so nice. I envy you. I wanna meet IN often
too." P'Noey said with a dreamy face.
"Come, come. Sit here. If you want anything else, feel free
to order. It's a big treat today!"
"Well, so it turns out you can join us. That's very good. We
have a lot of food here. Or you can order more. Let's enjoy."
P'Tong invited P'In, but P'In just glanced at P'Tong and said
nothing.
"IN, you can sit here. We will go out for a smoke." One
senior emptied his seat for P'In and turned to me.
P'In swept his eyes over the table, which was filled with
alcoholic drinks.
"IN. He didn't intend to say that. Well, I'm happy you can
come. Wanna eat something? No smoking and no drinking
anymore. Is that okay?"
After P'In left, the room fell silent for a while. Everyone was
still in a daze until the senior who had argued with P'In
broke the silence.
"I tried to be nice to him but did you see him? So annoying.
He kept repeating 'do not smoke'. Well, we just invited the
freshmen to smoke, treat them to a drink. What's wrong
with that? He acted as if his parents would die because of
that..."
His words made other male seniors laugh like it was a joke.
However, most of the females, especially P'Noey, turned
pale almost immediately.
"I found out from his fan...she was close with IN's primary
school teacher." P'Noey explained.
"IN's father passed away from lung cancer because of heavy
smoking. Before his father left the world, his father had to
stay in the hospital for several months. IN's family wasn't
that rich. His mother needed to work hard on both
weekdays and weekends to get money for his father's
medical treatment. However, even after spending hundreds
of thousands for his medical expenses, they couldn't save
his father's life."
"Oh no..."
Even though the air was cleared for the seniors, I was still
feeling very uneasy.
"I might not come back. I'm very sorry." I said goodbye to
everyone and ran out of the restaurant.
P'In was there, resting his arm on the railing. His eyes were
looking over the river. During the night time, both sides of
the river were full of buildings. The night lights reflected on
the water surface were very stunning. However, the light
reflected in his eyes was gloomy.
P'In didn't say anything. His eyes just turned back to the
dark river.
I said firmly, but the more I said, the more I felt shy. So I just
looked down while randomly moving my feet.
P'In was afraid that I would leave him — like his parents.

"Who is he?"
Then, we both sat in the van, but we didn't talk after that.
He seemed pensive, as if he was still lost in the memories of
the past.
Several days later, I was very busy with preparations for the
Moon contest. The XU Official Facebook page had already
posted the photos of Moon and Star candidates for the
voting process. I felt a bit shy when I saw my photo posted
in public. I was glad to see people liking my photo and
commenting something like; 'He is cute!', 'I'm rooting for
him'!, 'I love him!'.
She commented 'So cute! Cheering for you!' but she didn't
seem to realise it was me. Because the photo was only
captioned 'Win — Business Moon', and not my full name. To
top that, I look so different with makeup on and without
makeup. It wouldn't be surprising if she couldn't recognise
me.
"It's quite a pity that our UNISTAR member can't help his
faculty's Moon to promote." P'Tong said when we met. I
nodded in understanding.

P'In had compiled and listed the possible questions that the
judges might ask me during my general knowledge
performance, including knowledge about China and the
Chinese language, Architecture and Astrology, as well as
Basic Engineering, which P'Wayu might ask too.
All the Moon and Star candidates had to rehearse over and
over. During the lunch break, we were provided with a free
lunch box. I was eating while reading the question list for
my general knowledge performance. I didn't know any other
candidates, so I could only smile at them and they also
smiled back. We didn't talk much, just introduced our names
and faculties.
"See you on stage." P'In nodded and just left the room.
After that, the MCs talked about the details of the contest
and its sequence before thanking the sponsors. At the
mention of 'MWTV' and 'You can watch the live contest and
playback in MWTV Official fan pages, YouTube and Twitter',
the screaming turned much louder than it already was.
"So without further ado, let's meet all the Moon & Star
candidates from our 12 faculties!"
This was the first time I stood on the real stage, but I
couldn't see anything except the spotlight and stage floor.
The surrounding sound was tumultuous as I couldn't hear
anything clearly.
"These are all the Moon and Star candidates from the 12
faculties! Please give a round of applause to all of them.
And tonight... only one will be crowned the XU University
Moon and Star of the year."
What the MCs said made me nervous again. It was true that
Mr. Chana and my seniors were banking on me to become
the University Moon, but this gigantic stage today made me
panic. I thought it was enough if I got through the contest
smoothly.
When the female MC said this, the fans screamed at the top
of their lungs. The MC had to stop and smile until the
audience quieted down.
"It seems like our judges are very popular. Our three
teachers must be very happy." The male MC teased,
followed by a roar of laughter from the audience.
The judges' table was placed in front of the stage. P'In and
P'Wayu waited until all the teachers sat down before they
followed suit. P'Wayu was waving at his fans and gave a
smile to the Engineering Moon candidate on the stage.
"You can ask any type of questions. Please note that it must
only be general knowledge, not advanced or deeper into the
subject. I'll answer all the questions within the time limit."
This question was on the list that P'In had sent to me.
"Minimalism."
"How many days does the moon take to orbit the Earth?"
The astronomy professor asked.
"27.3 days."
"Wow! I didn't ask the names, but you can answer too.
Excellent!"
Veggie? Money?
"Celery." I said.
"Correct!"
P'Wayu shot his finger at me. The rest of the judges were
still confused as they couldn't get his joke.
"Which land animal can take passengers sailing through the
seas?"
"Catfish."
"Sandwich."
"Hotdog."
"Great!"
P'Wayu might mean the Korean idol who went viral as 'wink
boy' before.
"Shining Moon?"
"University Moon?"
...
I was stunned!
Huh?
Seriously?

Time flew and soon, it was my turn. I was still very nervous,
but felt a little bit better.
He was my inspiration.
In the past, I dreamt of changing myself, but I had never
succeeded. It was probably because I didn't have a clear
goal and had low self-esteem, but P'In was the one who
managed to change my attitude.
P'In had pulled me into the light. P'In had seen the light
inside me which I had never noticed before. So I believed
that everyone had their own light, it only depended on how
we view ourselves.
I looked at P'In. P'In was the answer, but I couldn't say that
here.
However...
"Still have time left?" P'Wayu asked and when the MCs
nodded, P'Wayu just gave me a big smile.
My eyes widened.
"Internet," I said.
"Unicorn," I replied.
What P'Wayu said made his fans scream and they went a
little wild. They shouted things like 'you can't do that!',
'P'Natee will get jealous!', 'P'Natee will punish you!', and
those along the same line.
Bam!
Even the MCs were confused too. Until P'In looked at them
and pressured them.
Why did he hit the table? Did he get angry with me? I was
concerned about it. Perhaps, P'In was afraid that P'Wayu
didn't keep his manners and might have a negative
influence on UNISTAR's image. That was possible.
I had been preparing for a long time. When the time came,
everything was happening so fast.
"We're reaching the end of our XU Moon & Star Contest. The
score is already calculated as well. Next, we will announce
the results and winners. Who is going to be XU Moon & Star
of the year..."
"And lastly, the XU Moon winner...I must say that the gap
between the total score of the winner and 1st runner-up is
very small..."
I was wearing a sash with the words 'XU Moon' and holding
the trophy.
I was amazed. It was the first time that I've met him this
close. He was taller than I thought. His skin was very bright
and smooth.
"Wait, P'In. I didn't get his Line yet." P'Wayu said and took
out his cell phone, the same model as P'In's.
"Can you open your QR code? I'll scan your LINE." P'Wayu
asked me.
Suddenly...
"Let's do it again."
"Fine. I'll go now." P'Wayu said and walked out of the room.
"Yes." He nodded.
P'In's LINE name was only written as 'IN' and his name on
Facebook was 'Intrakorn Dechapraphas'.

After the University Moon & Star contest had ended, the
photos of the winners were uploaded on the XU Official

liked and commented on my photo. Many people praised
that I was cute, and that they were impressed by my special
ability. They also said that it was very interesting and they
had never seen such a talent before. Some people also said
that I did very well in the interview part. However, there
were still some people who thought that the Moon from
Engineering or Communication Arts should be the winner
instead of me. In conclusion, the comments varied
depending on the person. It was a relief that at least,
nobody was bullying me.

The first midterm exam was Mr. Chana's subject. I had put in
a lot of effort to prepare for this subject, but it turned out
that the questions didn't ask anything from the textbook.
The exam was about business and marketing and we were
required to write around 1-2 pages to answer each question.
We were given 3 questions to answer within 2 hours. When I
finished, I felt like my brain and hands were all drained.
"Arhhh!"
That was...P'Wayu.
I was too shocked to figure out what I should do. P'Wayu had
already walked to my table and sat beside me while his
many guards surrounded me. His fans were still around and
screaming, taking photos and videos. Luckily, they couldn't
stay too close as they were blocked by the bodyguards.
Oh, I forgot. His fans called me the 'lame joke heir', so they
wouldn't be surprised.
"Jam."
"P'In? Why did you sit here?" P'Wayu looked confused as P'In
squeezed himself between us.
However, P'In, who was eating green curry next to me, also
fished out his phone.
And the other one was IntrakornD — this was P'In's IG!
IntrakornD
Oh...
I was stunned!
That made me realise that I used to stalk P'In's IG, but never
actually followed him.
"Did you follow?" P'In kept asking. His expression was still
emotionless.
"Then. Are you my fan or P'In's fan?" P'Wayu might not know
how to answer, so he just asked me instead.
"Then just follow me," P'In said to me. I could only blink.
I knew P'Wayu implied P'In, but I couldn't help but think that
P'Wayu was sometimes too lively.
My face became hot. Even though it was true and P'In knew
it already...it was still embarrassing.
One Moon talked too much. The other Moon barely talked.
But both of them had their own unique funny side.

The voting would take around 1 month, and all voters must
register on the website with self-identification. For 'Unity'
members like me, we could just use our member card
number to register. Unity was also given the privilege to
vote twice a day, while normal people could only vote once
a day. However, all voters would not know each candidate's
current scores, as real-time voting results would be kept
secret. We would find out together on the announcement
date.
"I'm not sure. But ZU Moon didn't come from the Faculty of
Medicine like P'Sea."
The only way to know who would be the top candidates was
the number of likes and comments on Facebook pages and
websites. I saw many people cheering for me. However, the
most outstanding among all candidates seemed to be these
two: First, 'Oat', the QU Moon from the Faculty of
Engineering, he was very talented at playing drums. And
second, he was from an unfamiliar university, but he
seemed to exceed any other candidates. His name was 'Sun'
from XYU.
The reason why Sun was very popular was because he had
participated in a TV program called 'School-Ace', which was
aired on MWTV. It was a male idol group survival show.
Some people also dubbed the show as 'UNISTAR Junior'
because their theme was quite similar to UNISTAR. Each
school would send a candidate for the contest and there
was a voting system, but the candidates would be limited
only to middle or high school students. Sun was the most
popular candidate in this program until he graduated from
high school. So he became the most famous former member
of School-Ace. And now, he has joined the UNISTAR contest
as well. During the School-Ace program, he had always
received the highest voted score. And now, it's no wonder
that in the UNISTAR contest, he was the favourite candidate
to win.
After all the midterm exams were over, I had some time to
rest. I heard P'Wun had also finished her exams. It was
common to visit my family after not seeing them for a few
months. We would eat together and spend time as a family.
We might dine out, go to the beach for a seafood meal, or
go to a hotel for fine dining, or sometimes just have a
simple meal at home.
"Win! Where are you? Win! Did you just come back?"
"Win! Win! Where are you?" P'Wun was looking around, and
somehow still didn't see me.
She heard me and finally realised that I was just right here.
"I just found out from the contest. Hmm...why didn't you tell
me earlier that you're a Faculty Moon?" P'Wun pouted.
"And you...why have you become like this? Who was that
cute boy on the stage?" P'Wun touched my face curiously.
"Let me think. My little bro, just sit here for a moment, don't
go anywhere yet, understood?" P'Wun told me and ran
upstairs to her bedroom.
I was still in a daze until she came back with her cosmetic
bag.
"I wanna make sure....I must know it!" P'Wun rustily made
me up and I didn't even have a chance to protest.
A few minutes later, my face was covered with decent
makeup, and P'Wun suddenly screamed.
I had planned to tell her, but couldn't figure out how to. But
it turned out that she already found out about it herself.
Did she mean she would rather become my fan and pay for
me instead?
"Wun...we're back!"
"Hey! Who the fuck is this guy? How did you get in?" My dad
was mad at me.
"Wun! You're a girl, you can't hug a boy like this!" My mom
supported him.
"Mom...Dad..."
"Hey. Do you think I'm gonna fall for that innocent face? I
won't accept you!" Mom said.
"Wun. Don't lie to me. How could that be possible? Our son
doesn't have such an outstanding face like this dude." Even
my dad still didn't believe it.
Mom and dad kept asking and forced me to turn around and
around until I almost felt dizzy.
"Okay, let's get into the car. Today we'll have Japanese
food."
"You're too loud, Wun." My mom warned her and then talked
to me.
"I didn't know that you had been through a lot. I feel very
guilty for making you feel isolated. It's true that I'm more
worried about Wun because she's a girl, but it doesn't mean
I don't love you, Win. It's just that I noticed that you were
always quiet, so I thought you loved to be alone." Mom said.
"Yes. If you have anything on your mind, just talk to us. Next
time, don't keep it to yourself like this. And about the Moon
contest, I'm a bit mad too. Because you didn't tell me and I
missed the event. Otherwise, I'd tell all our cousins to cheer
for you." Dad said.
When I knew the truth. I felt bad for myself. Before, I had
thought too much and kept my distance from my family.
When I realised that they were actually willing to help me, it
made my heart feel so warm.
"It's fine. The result isn't important. Just do your best. Don't
pressure yourself too much." My mom assured me.
However, I was still curious about who she liked the most in
UNISTAR.
I blinked.

"I think brown hair would suit you. Would you like to try
colouring your hair? We still have some time left." The stylist
told me, as I was the first one who arrived.
"What about you? You come from the same major as P'In.
What's P'In's personality like?" Oat asked.
"I see. Judging by the way P'In treats his fans, it's obvious.
P'In is a very quiet person who doesn't socialise much, but
he cares a lot for his fans."
"If you take a photo and post it on the internet now, more
fans will absolutely vote for you."
They also prepared some beverages and snacks for us. The
staff gave us a handbook with a bag and led us to our seats.
There were some MWTV staff around us, and many
candidates had already arrived.
What I loved most was the gifts inside the bag. There were
coupons for various goods and services of MW, stationery
with UNISTAR logo, and a white UNISTAR T-shirt. We were
also given two special zone tickets to attend the final
contest. So, even if we couldn't make it to the final round,
we could still participate in the event and bring someone
along. I thought it was great and I'm sure P'Wun would love
it!
The meeting was about to start. The seats were all full. I
saw a familiar host coming in with a small guy — I
recognised him. He was PD Kwang. I figured he held a pretty
high position here, as all staff paid respect to him.
"And now, I'll pass this mic to our main producer for the
UNISTAR project. Khun Nattakorn or PD Kwang. PD Kwang
will talk about the contest, contract details and also
preparation..."
"One more thing, and this is a very big issue for us...about
personal relationships."
"Yes. I admit it's a bit too much. But being a successful idol
isn't easy as well. Especially for UNISTAR members, image
management must be considered a priority. If I had a choice,
I wouldn't want to meddle in your personal life. The goal of
being an idol is to make your fans happy. Keep in mind, your
income is your fans' money. The love from your fans is the
only thing that will determine your idol path. Thus, we must
prioritise your image and your fans.
Suddenly, Oat, who sat next to me, raised his hand to ask. I
was quite surprised.
I recalled that this show was pretty fun. I watched last year's
contest — P'Natee and P'Wayu's year. P'Leo was P'Wayu's
mentor and P'Sea was P'Natee's mentor. The show took on a
UNISTAR internship format where candidates would observe
or sometimes even try the modelling, advertising, photo
shoots and variety show recording work. The candidates
would follow their mentors around as they work.
"No, not yet." Oat said. "I was just wondering because we
won't know what will happen in the future, right?"
"Agreed," I nodded. Nobody could predict the future. Right
now, we might not think about having a relationship, but
feelings are something that's very unpredictable.
When I saw him. I realised that not only was his amount of
fans hard to compete with, his visuals was also actually a
weapon that's hard to defeat.
"Why not? I've been the most popular one since School-Ace.
It doesn't matter if I'm just a little late."
"If I don't, will you ever know what you did wrong?" PD
Kwang seemed really mad.
"Ouch! P'Kwang. Why are you hitting me? It hurts!" Sun was
trying to protect himself, but PD Kwang didn't let him go
easily.
"Just because you're rich, your uncle is CEO here, you think
you can do whatever you want. Go to hell! Get out of the
contest."
"No! You have such a bad habit. Ai'Keith taught you, didn't
he?"
"Shut up! I'll hit you till death! Damn Metha family!"
"Hm? Nephew?"
"N'Win, it's your turn." The staff called me into the studio
room to record my introductory video. So I waved my hand
to Oat and walked in.
The studio wasn't very big. The filming background was very
plain with only the UNISTAR logo. A cameraman and a staff
member were waiting for me as I entered.
"Not all of it." The staff said. "The editing team will only
select some parts."
However—

"No!!!"
"Ah...so embarrassing!"
I admit that I was P'In's fan and that I was wholeheartedly a
DomKati. I knew other people wouldn't care that much, but I
still felt shy.
After chatting with Oat. I also looked at the stuff that P'In
had given me, including the carp fish, his signature, the
rose, and the perfume. Right now, I arranged them on a
special shelf along with other UNISTAR souvenirs.
"No way!"
I still couldn't move on from the fact that I had said 'I like
P'In' in the introduction video.
When I stepped into the faculty building, Parn was the first
person to excitedly come to talk to me.
"Did you meet any handsome guy? How about Sun? How's
he?" My friend was still curious, while I was getting more
distracted.
However...
"Yes, the MW hairstylist chose it for me. You think it's okay?"
Of course, I had never used it when I went out. I was too shy
to walk around smelling like P'In. However, whenever I
stayed alone, I always used it. I would spray the scent in my
room before I went to bed.
"P'In...w—what...a—are you...d—doing?"
"Prove it."
P'In looked at me, his face was emotionless, his eyes looked
complex.
"Huh?" I gasped.
However, that was all P'In said before he turned and left,
leaving me standing there in confusion.
Whatever!

"Win! Arhhh~"
It finally appeared!
"Oh!"
"Wow! Oat!" I smiled. I was very happy that he got into the
final round, with a rather high score at that.
"I saw it. Thank you so much P'Wun. I'm very happy!"
"Me too! You'll be standing on the UNISTAR stage soon! I
wanna go, but I'm not sure if I can get a ticket. It would be
tough!"
P'Wun and I talked on the phone for another hour until she
hung up. I was glad for all the support from everyone
around me.
Wayunilla: Congrats!
Even P'Wayu. Well, I had been waiting for the day that
P'Wayu would give me a break from the daily jokes. So I said
thank you, and thanked him for congratulating me as well.
From : [email protected]
Best regards,
IN: Congrats.
I got ready for class, dressed up, styled my hair and did my
makeup. I ate a sandwich which I bought yesterday for
breakfast. I didn't forget to put on the perfume that P'In
gave me...Well, at least if he wanted to prove it again, I
wouldn't be kicked out of his fandom. I had no choice, right?
However, the worst thing was I didn't even know why this
was happening. Why were they attacking me? What did I do
wrong?
My clothes were covered in egg yolk and dust. Very dirty. So,
I had to wash everything from top to toe and my clothes as
well. But I was afraid P'Tong had to wait for too long, so I just
washed roughly.
"Do you have any plans? Would you mind eating together in
my room?" I said.
P'Tong sighed.
The second one was a photo of that time when P'In and I
hugged each other near the riverside. It must be that time
when I went looking for P'In. He had been sad and had
hugged me, so I hugged him back.
That post was too far from the truth. Who took these
photos? Why did the guy have so many pictures of me and
P'In?
P'Tong continued.
"Are you attending class today? If you are, I'll go with you."
P'Tong said.
I woke up a while later and ate the lunch box, feeling numb.
'Is this how the fans show their love to their beloved idol?
Whatever they did, their idol must take responsibility for it.'

Chapter 28
#WINisWIND
Or, I should just return to being the fading air I was before.
Living in a place where no one would notice me. At least, I
wouldn't hurt anybody.
I lowered my head, letting the tears and the rain release all
the pain in my heart.
No...it didn't. I could still hear the sound of rain, but it wasn't
dropping on me anymore.
It was P'In.
I flinched a little.
"I'm not good at talking," P'In said. "So I want you to listen."
And look up, feel the raindrop falling into your eyes.
Our life was like the sky, uncertain. Why did we have to
worry so much?
I let the melody soothe my tension, just like the sky that was
starting to clear.
...Don't hold on, just let it go, then you will not be sad.
I looked up at the sky. The sky after the rain was so blue and
beautiful. The rain left a refreshing sensation on the
surrounding trees. The slight water drops sounded so
calming.
I became the University Moon and got into the UNISTAR final
stage because of my own talent, because of everyone who
supported me. It's not what those people accuse me of. I
had the right to be proud of myself. This might be what P'In
was trying to tell me - the truth is still the truth.
But P'In still insisted that the truth is the truth. He trusted
me wholeheartedly. He gave me so much help. But now, I
was the one who wasn't honest with him.
"Which one?"
"About you and me...I was nearly like what they said."
I was so shameless.
I understood at last.
The happiness that I was looking for was just right here, in
front of me.

"Want to be a UNISTAR?"
"If so, it's impossible." P'In said, looking up at the sky, far
away. His expression was hard to guess.
"I'll walk you back," P'In said, trying to follow me. But I
stopped him.
"Ssh! Not too loud. Today I don't have class. I just went to
buy stuff. I didn't do my makeup today, so I can't let anyone
see my face." P'Wayu said seriously.
"Hey? Are you okay? Why are you making such a sad face?
And why are your clothes so wet like this?" P'Wayu asked,
and raised his hand to hug my shoulder in a friendly way. I
felt a bit nervous.
"Where to eat?"
"My dorm." He said. Without even waiting for my answer, he
just dragged me to his dorm.
"Uh...P'Wayu..."
"Sorry it's a bit messy. It's from the fanmeet a few days ago.
I got so many gifts and I was too busy to tidy up."
It's not surprising that his manager actually hired a maid for
him because I don't think anyone could stand this level of
dirtiness.
"No. This one is better. Corn fit. Corn firm." P'Wayu said and
opened a bottle of cola.
I assumed 'Corn fit. Corn firm' was just P'Wayu's way to say
the word 'confirm'.
P'Wayu slowly poured cola into the mug, when the cola
reached the ice cream, it became fizzy like beer bubbles
filling the mug.
"Here. Try it." P'Wayu handed the mug with a straw and a
long teaspoon to me.
P'In was such a nice person, and I ruined him. P'In wasn't
even angry, he even tried to help me.
"Just wait and see. The one who slandered you, and
deceived DomKati with such ugly fake news, P'Kwang
wouldn't let them go easily." P'Wayu seemed angry as well.
"Alright. I got it. You like P'In, don't you?" P'Wayu said.
P'Wayu said it was very normal for him, which made me feel
so relieved even though I was still a little depressed.
"Hmm?"
"Alright!"
"One...two...three...four...five..."
"Wait, not yet. Let me take a look at that jealous face first."
"What? Cat food?" I blinked. Why did he just talk about cat
food? And why did he invite me?
"P'In, it's already late. Your stray cat can find food on its
own." P'Wayu said.
"P'In..." I exclaimed.
Huh? Wait.
Footnote :

"Oh..." I realised. P'In did say 'cat food ran out' and told me
to come and buy it with him earlier.
But the store wasn't that far, it was easy to come. Why did
he need someone to come along? I was trying to figure out
the reason, but still couldn't anyway.
"Huh?" I blinked.
'What? P'In! If you did ask and the cat could answer, it's
definitely not a normal cat!' I thought.
"Uh..." I said.
"199 baht." The seller told us. P'In didn't even bargain, he
just paid for it.
"No plastic bag." P'In added and took the shirt, paused
before handing it to me.
"Oh? It isn't that cold. I'm alright." I didn't want to say no,
but I was confused. The weather wasn't cold at all.
"I've already bought it." P'In looked at the shirt in his hands.
I didn't know why, but his words made me feel like he would
be sad if I didn't wear it.
"Okay. I'll wear it." I took the shirt and wore it over my
current one.
I was in his dorm again. His room was still neat and clean.
The total opposite from P'Wayu's room.
P'In poured some cat food into a bowl and kept the rest on
the shelf. He walked out to the terrace and I followed him.
"Hold it." P'In handed me the cat bowl and looked around.
Meow~
"Hungry?" P'In asked the cat. The cat was snuggling at P'In's
legs. So he lowered himself and fondled it. Then, the cat
was lying on its back, letting him touch its belly.
Meow~
"What?" I blinked.
"M...Meow~"
"Tri is hungry," P'In said. So I put down the bowl. The cat
came to eat, and seemed to enjoy it.
He said I was cuter than the cat. I was both happy and shy
at the same time.
"Yes." He nodded.
I followed his gaze. The sky was clear with a few clouds and
the moon could be seen shining beautifully.

The next day, The photo that P'Noey had posted was spread

"I can't believe you really hugged IN! Since when did both of
you get this close~? Ahhh~! You're so lucky! Why didn't you
tell me earlier? Honestly, I was so excited when I saw this
photo. I'm probably the only DomKati who wants this to be
true. Why isn't it true? If IN were my brother-in-law, I would
be happy for the rest of my life~!"
"It makes sense. You two are the only ones in your buddy-
code family. That's why both of you have such a close
relationship."
I could only say in my mind that the truth was 'we were just
buddy-code brothers. I was the only one who was expecting
more.'
"I'm very relieved that both of you are just seniors and
juniors." He continued.
"The rules for MW artists are very strict, especially regarding
an idol's relationship. A few years ago, there was a popular
idol who lost all his fame because he was in a relationship.
In the end, he lost both his fans and his girlfriend.
Furthermore, the strength of the UNISTAR Project is the
members' image and Intrakorn is the face of PR for the
company. He shouldn't even think about having a personal
relationship. His fans aren't okay with either female or male
pairing. There was one time when Intrakorn was cast into a
boys' love drama, the fans became really mad. The official
page and Twitter were filled with bad comments. So imagine
that in real life."
"Alright, that's it. You can go now. When you record the
video, you can just repeat the same thing you just told me,
just to make sure that our facts are aligned."
"But both of you are very close to each other. How could you
guarantee that the Moon contest result was fair?"
"Do you doubt my judgement too?" Mr. Chana answered
instead.
"It's not like that, Mr. Chana." One of the journalists seemed
to recognise Mr. Chana.
"Mr. Chana wasn't one of the judges, but Mr. Intrakorn was.
Do you have any proof that the contest was judged fairly?"
I kept asking myself again and again. Was this really what I
wanted?

"Bye bye."

"But Archawin is your friend. How could you think that what

obviously.
"I'm sorry," I said. "I didn't know that I made you feel bad.
I'm really sorry!"
"I want to be your friend. Did you know? The first day I came

person who talked to me. You could recognise me. That
made me very happy. So, can we still be friends?"
"You're weird. I was trying to ruin your life before and you
still want to be friends with me?"
"It's not like that." He said. "Your attitude and mindset are
way better than mine. That's why you were chosen."
I sighed.
"But It's not P'In's fault. It was me all along. I want to be the
Moon, I want to be a UNISTAR..." I said sadly.
"Yes. I've been falling for P'In, but he didn't like me that
way." I almost cried when we talked about this.
"I'm a male, but I like a male too. It's hilarious, don't you

"Hello, everyone."
When my eyes met P'In's for a second, I was the one who
turned away first.
They then sat on the seats that were arranged for them.
Once they were settled into the seats, P'Leo began to brief
us about what to expect for the day.
He continued.
But suddenly...
"He's the Wind Moon, but you... are Fart Moon right? That's
also a type of wind." P'Natee said sarcastically. Some people
in the studio even laughed at that.
"I said 'wind'. You're such an idiotic deaf. Stupid dog full of
earwax!"
"My room is messy but not smelly. F*** you! And about my
fart, you're wrong. How can you be a dog with such a bad
sense of smell? The fleas must have bitten your nose till it's
already disabled. If you can actually smell, my fart is so
fragrant."
"I can be his mentor too! Our names are similar as well."
P'In said, making everyone confused. It was very rare to see
P'In standing up to speak in his own interest.
P'Sea gave them a sweet smile, but with very cunning eyes.
"But don't worry, we will take care of N'Win for you two
instead."
Although P'Wayu and P'In didn't seem happy about it, they
had no choice but to accept it.
"Please cut out the part where N'Wayu spoke out of topic."
P'Leo told the staff. I agreed with him. We're lucky it wasn't
a live show.
This activity was divided into two rounds. In the first round,
the UNISTAR members would each select a candidate. They
prepared a board displaying 9 different label cards. Each
card showed a short description that was related to each of
us without revealing our names. Each UNISTAR member had
to choose a card and they would automatically be assigned
as the mentor to the candidate described by the card. As for
the remaining four candidates, they would randomly choose
a mentor using the same method in the second round.
When all the signs were revealed, I looked for the one which
might be mine.
'Moving Wikipedia'
"As a rule, seniors will go first, so P'Sea gets the first pick."
P'Leo said.
"You can't pick him anyway." P'Sea gave him a warm smile.
P'Wayu didn't have any choice but to purse his lips.
He said thoughtfully.
"If you want to float like the wind above the clouds, you
must make yourself lighter. You need to throw away heavy
and unnecessary baggage. Being an idol sometimes
requires you to sacrifice your own happiness in exchange for
your own dream and future."

Even though P'Sea was busy, he still took good care of me.
When I joined the workshop, a team of MWTV staff were
assigned to follow me around to record my progress as I
worked with my mentor.
However, I've always felt like he had built walls around him.
I couldn't be sure whether the P'Sea I had come to know
was the real him or not. I realised he was very nice and easy
to socialise with, but it was somehow difficult to read his
mind. P'Sea was the only UNISTAR member who seemed
approachable, but in truth, he was hard to understand. I
personally thought that he was even more complicated than
P'In.
I heard that the tickets were sold out within ten minutes. I
was lucky to have two additional tickets as a reward for the
nine finalists on top of the two that were given to me. I gave
the tickets to P'Wun, my mom and dad. I decided to give the
last one to Boss. He was hesitant at first, but I told him I
wanted him to be there and cheer for me, so he took it.
Moreover, P'Neoy and Parn had also successfully bought the
tickets. So I had my little support group consisting of family,
friends, and seniors. I felt very encouraged.
"Yeah, me too! I can't wait to see who will win. We've been
together for a few months, and soon one of us will debut as
an idol."
Oat and I sat together, and the stylists came over to help us
with our hair and makeup. I heard that the UNISTAR
members had arrived, but they were in another dressing
room. They wouldn't be able to come and see us, as they
would be occupied with interviews with various journalists.
I also saw other cheering signs for the rest of the candidates
but those still couldn't be compared to the ones for UNISTAR
members. Based on what I'm seeing, I think Sun, who was
already popular, came rather close.
Once the host cued us in, the hydraulic lift lifted us and all
nine of us appeared at the centre of the stage.
P'Sea, P'Leo, P'In, P'Natee and P'Wayu then entered from the
other side of the stage, wearing their UNISTAR uniforms.
They stopped in the middle of the hall and sat on the seats
prepared for the judging panel. All members were styled
with perfect hair and makeup, they looked as if they were
glowing.
All the candidates then went backstage. The next part was
the presentation of our short introduction video and talent
performance. We were given 5 minutes each to perform.
My queue was in the middle, while Oat and Sun were the
very last ones.
I spoke for too long, and almost didn't even breathe. Some
of the audience applauded me. As Mr. Chana said, my
performance wouldn't be attractive the second time, but I
could still prove I had deeper knowledge on certain matters.
"Do you think the UNISTAR project has also applied this
method?"
...Tonight
His show was only three minutes long, but those three
minutes were magical. Even the UNISTAR members seemed
to have their eyes glued on his performance.
"P'Sea krub." Oat read the name. Along with the cheering
from DomNangnuan.
'Leo UNISTAR'
"First, I'd like to tell you not to think too much about what
I'm going to ask. It's only a test, just like the other
candidates."

However...
'I'm sorry P'In. I'm sorry to everyone who is cheering for me.
I might disappoint all of you. But...I'll take responsibility for

No more lies.
I closed my eyes.
"I like P'In." My voice was quivery. "He isn't just my senior. I
like P'In, who is my inspiration, my power, and my
happiness. I could be myself every time I was with him."
"Do you realise that your answer will make people hate you,
and you could lose this contest?"
"If I lied and ended up winning, this lie would burden me for
the rest of my life, or until one day when I couldn't lie
anymore. So I decided that it's better to lose everything
now, even if the whole country would hate me. Because in
the end, I won't regret being honest with myself."
"Do you think it's worth it? Telling the truth, but losing
everything. Is it really worth it?"
"For me. P'In and UNISTAR are like the light, giving me the
strength to stand here. If I were the one to destroy that
light, to destroy the fans who supported that light, then how
could I pursue this path...?"
"You like P'In? But why do you have to say that? Are you
okay?" Oat seemed very concerned about me.
"It will be fine. Don't think too much. Everything will end
once the results are revealed." Oat patted my shoulder.
After this day, I don't think I would even dare to talk to him
anymore.
It's almost like each judge would personally choose the best
candidate they think was most suitable to become a
UNISTAR member. Last year, P'Leo and PD Kwang gave
P'Wayu the highest score, while P'Sea and P'In chose
P'Natee.
"Let's listen to the comments from each judge. Why did you
give this candidate the highest score? Let's start with PD
Kwang."
"If you couldn't even answer it today, you are not ready to
become a UNISTAR member. Just imagine, what if one day
you're facing the same situation as today, what would you
do? You might lose your fame, you might be afraid to be an
idol, or you might want to quit, but it would be too late.
However, if you can answer, it means that you have nothing
to fear in this idol path."
"Love is more uncertain than the lottery. If you love the right
one, you win. If you love the wrong one, you lose. So I really
get it. I'm impressed that you could openly admit your love
for someone, even if it's someone you shouldn't. You're
brave! You're not afraid to be honest, nor are you afraid to
lose. You're just facing it with courage! You're truly
amazing!"
"I want to say, even if you're not the winner for today,
you've won my heart!"
P'Natee declared it so clearly, followed by the cheering from
DomHusky. His words were so empowering, I felt
encouraged.
"Next, what about the judges who chose Sun? Khun Wayu,
please let us know what you think." The host said.
"Thank you krub, Khun Wayu. How about Khun In? Why did
you choose this candidate?"
His words were very vague. I didn't get what he meant and I
doubt other people would catch it either. However, the host
just nodded and got on with the show.
"As we've already heard what the judges had to say, it's
time to...close the online vote. While we're waiting for the
calculated score, I'd like to thank all the sponsors who
supported the UNISTAR project..."
"Each year, from all the shining Moon upon the sky, we
select the shiniest one as our UNISTAR member."
"And the winner, with the highest score of 31.11%, the 5th
generation UNISTAR is..."
When Sun wore the UNISTAR uniform, Sun raised his trophy
up amidst the cheering and applause from the audience.
After the results had been announced, the host then made
the closing speech, thanking all the fans and audience. We
then had a group photo together. Even though the contest
had ended, the MWTV live feed was still on. The staff were
still recording the scene after the contest, and most fans
were still in the hall because the UNISTAR members were
still on the stage.
While I was taking photos with Oat, Sun and the sponsors. I
saw P'In talking to the host.
"I'm sorry for interrupting. I'm IN, UNISTAR, I'd like to say
something."
"I need to say this now, because I don't know if I'd have a
second chance," P'In started with his signature monotone,
but his expression was very serious.

Me and P'In.
While I was looking at P'In, my heart was racing, as if there
were a flower blooming in my chest. All kinds of burdening
emotions were gone, replaced with a new, brighter feeling.
"Oh, about the interview. I'm very sorry. I might have hurt
you a lot." P'Leo seemed to feel guilty about it.
Both of them kept arguing like that and I could only watch
them helplessly until Oat pulled me away from there.
"Hi Win. It's not bad today, right? You made it fun to watch."
P'Sea smiled, and I widened my eyes.
"I've already helped out. Your score was only 1% less than
Sun, which means you are the true winner."
"Wait. P'Sea! What did P'In ask you to do?" I was confused.
P'Sea smiled.
"Do you understand now? For IN, you are even more
important than his fame or the UNISTAR." P'Sea said.
I went blank, the only thing I could think of was that I had to
see P'In. I wanted to meet him.
"You both should talk as well, just tell him what you feel,
don't keep it to yourself."
"What you said on the stage was wrong," P'In told me.
"And...what is right?"
Since I was born, this was the first time I was ever kissed,
and by the one I liked nonetheless. I could only hear my
heart beating loudly.
His kiss was warm, soft and gentle. He tasted sweet, like the
smooth fragrance of a coconut. The kiss from the moon sent
me into a daze, my mind was floating, my body felt light.
P'In took his lips off mine slowly, but his eyes were still fixed
on mine.
"P'In...right..."
I blushed.
And what should I reply? What should I say? This was the
first time in my life that I've ever had a crush and the best
thing was, my crush felt the same about me.
I felt very restless and didn't know what to do. I could only
stand still like this...
"Uh...P'In...well, I also..." I stammered because I was trying
to find the right words.
"D...date..."
'Yes!' This was what I should say. but I was too slow for him.
I couldn't believe this day became a reality, the day that P'In
accepted my feelings.
The only thing I could do was embrace him with both hands
and cry again. These were tears of happiness.
"I love you too. Sorry for making you cry." P'In whispered
and hugged me back, patting my head softly.
"I'm okay."
I felt at ease and content now. His body was warm with a
lingering coconut scent. It was a bliss to stay in his
embrace, like a sweet daydream.
"Can we date?"
I smiled bashfully.
"Yes!" I nodded.
I blinked.
"Try what?"

Invisible Moon
Chapter 37
#WINisWIND
Some blunt Unity even said; 'Don't you think that DomKati is
the one who forced P'In to quit?', 'P'In had no choice but to
quit.', 'DomKati will become anti-fan if he is still in
UNISTAR.', 'If P'In's boyfriend gets bullied, how can he be
happy?'.
It was like a war had broken out between DomKati and other
Unity fandoms on social media. It was the first time for me
to see the fans of the same idol group (but different bias)
fighting with each other.
The only update from the UNISTAR official platforms was the
fanmeet, which would be held one week later and the
tickets were already available. It was like a UNISTAR
tradition, the fanmeet held after the UNISTAR contest was
meant to welcome the new member.
"I just wanna tell you that I've successfully bought the
tickets!" P'Wun showed the confirmation email on her
mobile phone.
"Yep! Mom and dad will be going too. I know you have to be
there, right?" P'Wun said.
"You know, mom and dad also like IN. Even if you two are
dating and may face many troubles, you're not alone. We'll
go through this together."
"That's the end of our event today." P'Leo, who was the
host, announced.
P'In spoke. His voice echoing through the quiet hall, his face
appeared on the screen in the hall and the TV screen that I
was watching. His expression was calm, but I could still see
some worries in his eyes.
"I'd like to share a story about my past that I've never told
anyone before."
I felt sad for him. His childhood must have been so lonely.
I used to think that P'In was like the brightest star, but I had
never known that before he became the light for so many
people, he had been through so many things.
"I didn't know what the meaning of my life was. I just knew
that I was happy living with my grandma. She brought me
happiness again after I lost my parents. So I had never
wanted anything else."
"But my grandma told me, in this world, there are so many
people who still can't find their own happiness, so if I could,
I should share this happiness with others and let them be
happy as well. That was the reason why...I decided to
become a UNISTAR back then. I wanted to fulfil my
grandma's wish. Because she made me happy, I wanted her
to be happy. In return, I could make everyone happy, and
that became the meaning of my life."
I felt the same way when I found out that P'In could see a
fading person like me.
"When I got to know Win more, I felt even happier with him.
He saw me the way I really was. Win was the light for me,
full of positive energy. Whenever I stayed with Win, I was so
happy that I totally forgot how painful it was in my past."
PD Kwang handed me a tissue, as I couldn't hold myself
back from crying anymore.
For me, P'In was also my light and inspiration. I had never
expected that both of us were so similar.
"We understand!"
One voice was heard and others followed.
"We'll be together!"
His fans unanimously cheered for P'In, which made him cry
and he couldn't say anything more. Every DomKati was
standing up and shouting for P'In with the loudest voice they
could muster.
"Thank you for understanding N'In. Thank you for giving him
a chance to continue being a UNISTAR and be the light for
everyone again."

Epilogue
"The two moons were up in the sky, among the wind and
clouds."
#WINisWIND
In a night, how many times have you looked upon the sky
and watched the moon?
In truth, the moon that we saw from here might look shiny
and beautiful, however, no one stopped to think that the
moon in the sky had been shining for others alone, day by
day. The epitome of loneliness.
What about the love story of the moon and the air?
Well, the air had evaporated, up high and became the cloud,
embracing the moon, and eventually developed to be the
wind moon. Both invisible moons stayed together, and
hidden in the sky.
One Invisible Moon was still in the sky and the other Invisible
Moon was hidden behind the clouds.
The boys' love series was even worse. P'In was against
projects that would involve me hugging or kissing other male
actors, let alone any love scenes. This sent PD Kwang to his
wit's end. Eventually, I worked as a freelance artist under
MW Entertainment. I would only do some part-time work
whenever I had free time. I could select the work I wanted to
do. The only condition was that I couldn't work for other
entertainment companies. So most of my work revolved
around variety shows, advertisement shoots or acting as a
supporting character in TV dramas and music videos.
As if he was an angel.
P'In was waiting for me, with the rose in his hand. It was
similar to what I got last year. But somehow, the feeling
might be different. It made me excited.
I laughed.
"Why're you laughing?" He asked curiously.
"Really?" P'In was thinking. "Oh, right. That time you looked
confused too."
"Yes." He said.
"It's yours..."
"T...Thank you."
I took it. I felt so happy and shy. Even though I got it last year
as well, this year felt even more special.
His rose with the tag written 'IN, Business Moon, 4th year'.
"Where's your rose?" P'In asked. His eyes were fixed on the
rose in my hand, which had the tag written 'Win, Business
Moon, 2nd year'.
My face blushed.
"Aren't I?" P'In tilted his head, his expression as blank as can
be.
"Huh?"
"But I want your rose." P'In didn't seem like he would give up
until he got what he wanted.
"Why not?" P'In said. "I give you, isn't because you're
beautiful."
"Oh...?" I blinked.
Anyway, P'In was this kind of person. What he said was what
he meant, nothing more. He might have said it too briefly
that we needed to interpret it.
"Because..."
"N'Win krub. I'll give you my rose, as I like you the most."
P'Wayu grinned and handed me the rose with the tag written
'Wayu, Engineering Moon, 3rd year'.
"I won't let Win get it from anyone else." P'In said sternly.
P'Wayu whistled.
"He is my boyfriend."
"Yes?"
"P'In..." I exclaimed.
So I just smiled.
He just wanted to spend time with me, just the two of us.
Even though P'In was a UNISTAR member, and I was the first
runner up of the UNISTAR contest.
The both of us could stay in the sky, hidden among the wind
and clouds.
Only the two of us together, only the two of us able to see
each other.
