Chapter 1
Typing skills refer to the ability to type quickly and accurately on a keyboard or other input
device, typically a skill used for data entry, writing, or communication on computers. Strong
typing skills involve not just speed but also accuracy, ergonomic technique, and familiarity with
keyboard layout. These skills are important for efficiency in various professional fields and
everyday computer use.
SOP
1.What are the differents percentage of typing skills that grade 11 CSS student have?
The participants in this study are the Grade 11 CSS STUDENT in TESDA . A Non random sampling
technique using quata sampling technique was used to select respondent in data gathering
coming from Grade 12 students . The researcher purposely choose Grade 12 students to ensure
the reliability of the data .
Difinition of terms
Typing skills - typing skills refer to the ability and accurately on a keyboard or other in put
device typically a skill used to collect data..
Group tutorial - its a activity where people have team work to accomplish the task to provide a
perfect and clear teaching.
CSS - its typically a strand where student learn to access a computer and learn how to assemble
and disassemble.
Students - This study will help the students to attend their class regularly sincethis will provide
information about the benefits that they can acquire inattending school. This students would be
able to go to school on time. Theywould become more responsible.
Future researcher - The conducted studies will further open doors for futureresearchers to
refine and expand studies in relation to cutting classes. Thismay serve as a source of
information about what provokes students to cut class on an individual’s academic perform.

This chapter present the relevant literature and studies that the researcher considered in
strengthening the importance of the present study . Its alsi present the synthesis of the art to
fully understand the researcher for better comprehension of the study .
The effects of touch typing skills programm on higher grade level H Weiget Maron (2015), the
typing skills programm helps to recover the learning system of the students about keyboarding
skills on higher grade level ,The touch typings skills is an programm about keyboarding skills and
increase the vocabulary of the students about there skills on typing.
The main objective of every teacher is to impact positively, knowledge and skills to the life of
their students. For others, to use technology to enhance students learning experience
(Chowdhry, 2014). For teachers to achieve their set goals and objectives, teachers should adapt
the appropriate teaching methods that will help their teaching and learning with the students
to be effective and successful
The effect of lack of skills in keyboarding Helt Wilberg (2016),This study investigates the
possibility that lack of fluency in spelling and/or typing disrupts writing processes in such a way
as to cause damage to the substance (content and structure) of the resulting text. 101 children
(mean age 11 years 10 months), writing in a relatively shallow orthography (Norwegian),
composed argumentative essays using a simple text editor that provided accurate timing for
each keystroke. Production fluency was assessed in terms of both within-word and word-initial
interkey intervals and pause counts. We also assessed the substantive quality of completed
texts. Students also performed tasks in which we recorded time to pressing keyboard keys in
response to spoken letter names (a keyboard knowledge measure), response time and interkey
intervals when spelling single, spoken words (spelling fluency), and interkey intervals when
typing a simple sentence from memory (transcription fluency).
Typing versus thinking aloud when reading: Implications for computer-based assessment and
training tools Brant Harls (2013) , The goal of this study was to assess the impact of modality of
production of think-aloud protocols on reading strategies. Readers in two studies spoke or
typed protocols for narrative or science texts and completed comprehension tests for each text.
Human judges identified the presence of paraphrasing, bridging inferences, and elaborating
within the protocols. Reading comprehension skill was assessed with the Nelson-Denny test.
With respect to narrative texts, paraphrasing and bridging were less frequent when readers
were typing than when they were thinking aloud. With respect to science texts, less-skilled
readers made bridging inferences more frequently when typing than when speaking.
Conversely, skilled readers generated more paraphrases than bridges when typing thoughts but
not when speaking. These results have implications for computer-based tools for reading
assessment and intervention.
Tha benificial effect of typing skills helburg Wart (2023) , In this paper, we analyze student
assignment submission data collected from a functional programming course taught at McGill
university incorporating a wide range of features. In addition to the grade, we consider activity
time data, time spent, and the number of static errors. This allows us to identify four clusters of
students: "Quick-learning", "Hardworking", "Satisficing", and "Struggling" through cluster
algorithms. We then analyze how work habits, working duration, the range of errors, and the
ability to fix errors impact different clusters of students. This structured analysis provides
valuable insights for instructors to actively help different types of students and emphasize
different aspects of their overall course design. It also provides insights for students themselves
to understand which aspects they still struggle with and allows them to seek clarification and
adjust their work habits.
The goal of this study was to assess the impact of modality of production of think-aloud
protocols on reading strategie Welt Henry (2020) , . Readers in two studies spoke or typed
protocols for narrative or science texts and completed comprehension tests for each text.
Human judges identified the presence of paraphrasing, bridging inferences, and elaborating
within the protocols. Reading comprehension skill was assessed with the Nelson-Denny test.
With respect to narrative texts, paraphrasing and bridging were less frequent when readers

Association of keyboarding fluency and writing performance in online-delivered assessment
henry Puth (2022) , Keyboard-based writing has become increasingly important in everyday
living and professional working. However, keyboarding literacy is presumed in most situations;
there lack systematic studies on keyboarding and its association with writing processes and
qualities of written products. Using the keystroke data of over 1300 middle-school students, we
investigated keyboarding fluency, a key subskill of writing transcription measured by an
internally reliable metric, and its association with writing process, score, and text characteristics
extracted
Stimulating Invention Several researchers (Burns 1979; Burns and Culp 1980; and Woodruff and
Bereiter 1981) have developed and tested computer programs to stimulate the generation of
ideas which students use in creating compositions. Generally the student chooses a topic and
the computer asks a set of heuristic questions about the topic. The students' answers can then
be stored and presented to them when they begin writing as an aid to invention (Cronnell
1981). In one study a dialogue model based on Aristotle's enthymeme topics improved the
number and sophistication of ideas which college students included in their essays. The
program prompted the students with comments like" try explaining a little more, fewer
phrases, more sentences" and" If I were writing a paper about, I would want to write a
paragraph or two about
