Talk about yourself

Firstly, thank you for inviting me to this interview. This is very


important for me, in terms of my future.
My name is Nasiragha. I graduated from Azerbaijan Technical
University last year. I have a bachelor's degree in Information security.
During my studies, I increased my knowledge and skills with additional
educational programs and entered the working life. I have been working
in IT field for more than 2 years. I own multiple international certificates
related to IT, such as Cisco CCNA, Fortinet FCA, Fortinet NSE4 and
etc.
I would describe myself as enthusiastic, empathetic, hardworking and
logical. During my university years, I realized that to reach the goal, you
should have a concrete plan and you should appreciate every opportunity
that comes to you. So, if you give me a chance to study in your
university, it will be one of the best opportunities that will happen to me.

11. Why did you choose this major?(infosec or data science)?


I choose data science, because it has good career opportunities. I have
professional background on the IT field, so i believe to study in this
course is suitable for me.

I chose this major because I have a strong interest in information


security / data science. In today's rapidly advancing world of technology,
I believe these fields are crucial both for security and data analysis. I
want to deepen my knowledge in these disciplines and innovate within
them. Also, I see great career potential in these fields for the future,
which is why I chose this major. And I genuinely believe that if you
enjoy your subject, and you have a specific career plan in place, life at

13. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths:

 "I am good at thinking logically and make the right decisions."


 "I am responsible and always try to complete tasks on time
 "I have a quick learning ability, which helps me grasp new
concepts easily."
 "I have good communication and teamwork skills, and I can be
effective in collaborative projects."

Weaknesses:

Sometimes I try to learn more than one thing at the same time, which
makes it difficult to balance my work.

 I cant stand hunger and sleeplessness

"I tend to set high standards for myself, which can sometimes increase
my workload. Therefore, balancing priorities can be challenging for me
at times."university will be a little bit easier.
12. Why did you choose this university?
To be honest I have spoken to other people who have studied at this
university and they all said nothing but positive things. Furthermore, I
know that for masters degree your lesson schedules are really convenient
for students. Also, your university are so welcome for international
students.
7. Talk about your work experience?
I worked as a mentor for a while after, then I worked as an "IT
specialist". Currently, I work as a trainer on "Network administration".
I teach students about the basics of Windows and Linux operating
systems, Cisco and Fortinet equipment. When I was a mentor in the
teaching of network administration, I played the role of a "bridge"
between the students and the teacher, helped them to complete their
tasks and explained the unclear points in the lesson. I gave homework to
students.

When I working as IT specialist, I typically start my day by checking


emails and addressing any urgent issues that may have come up
overnight. As an IT specialist, my tasks can vary widely. For instance, I
might begin by diagnosing and repairing computer hardware issues, such
as replacing faulty components or troubleshooting network connectivity
problems.

Now I am a instructor and my mission is to provide students with


important and basic knowledge in network administration.
We generally do practical work on "Cisco" and "Fortinet".

24 .What sets you apart from other applicants?

I completed my Bachelor's degree with honors and my GPA is 96.


I have been working in the field of pedagogy for the last 2 years and
teaching university students about network administration. During this
process, I guide students in preparation for important certifications such
as Cisco CCNA and Fortinet NSE.
I have technical expertise in network administration with certificates
such as Cisco CCNA and Fortinet NSE. These certifications are
important references that validate my technical knowledge and skills and
make me proficient in industry best practices.
My teaching experience and work in pedagogy demonstrate my abilities
to communicate complex technical topics to students in an
understandable manner and contribute to their professional development.

5. Can you talk about your hometown or home city?


Sure, I'd be happy to talk about my hometown, Lankaran. Lankaran or
"the pearl of the south" as it is called, is a city located on the coast of the
Caspian Sea, in a subtropical climate. Lankaran is famous for its cuisine,
tea and citrus fruits. As an example of Lankaran cuisine - "Lavangi
Plov", "Shah Plov", "Syrdag", "Turshulu Ash" etc. Lankaran was
declared the World Capital of Culinary Culture by UNESCO. Due to its
beautiful nature, Lankaran is always in the center of attention of tourists.

2. Describe a moment when you demonstrated teamwork or


collaboration.

In our last year of university, we had to do group work for defense of


thesis. Our subject required us to prepare a course program. We were 4
people, I gave each person a task. For example, someone should have
examined the sillabuses of similar courses and created ours. One person
had to prepare the practical studies, the other the theories. I was the
editor. I would put all the drafts together and select the good ones and
remove the bad ones. As a result, we got high scores from defense of
thesis.

3. If you win 1 million $ from lottery, what will you do?


If I won a million dollars, I would spend some of it on my education and
personal development. I would allocate a part for investment, for
example, buying real estate and corporate shares. I would invest some of
it in the education of people I know who are talented but financially
weak. And, of course, my biggest dream - I went on a world trip, we
have such an expression - who travels a lot knows a lot.

4. Are you happy with your neighbours?


I have no problems with my neighbors. Everyone is trying to live in their
own way.
6. How was your university life?
To be honest, university life was difficult for me. The most important 2
years of studentship continued in remote form due to the coronavirus. I
got a job in my 3rd year and tried to balance study/work/life.
For this reason, I can say that I isolated myself sometimes from my
friends also family. I regret it now because the university years are the
most interesting and productive years for me. This also caused the idea
of studying masters and I hope that everything will be as I wanted.

8. What are your hobbies, likes and dislikes?


My main interest is reading books and watching movies. I love to watch
thrillers in the drama and detective genres. I like the films of
F.F.Coppola, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese in different genres. As
an actor, I like Anthony Hopkins, Denzel Washington, Steve Carrel. In
general, I can talk about movies and actors for hours without getting
bored. After watching any movie, I definitely discuss the movie with a
friend.
When it comes to literature, my favorite writers are Khalid Hussaini and
Haruki Murakami. I like Hosseini's "Kite Runner" and Murakami's
"Norwegian wood". Lately, I have been reading the books of historian
Professor Y.N. Harari.
Other hobbies include listening to classical music, traveling, and
cooking. I mainly listen to Chopin and Beethoven. I am also interested
in numismatics. I collect coins of different countries.

9. As you said you are working right now. How you will come to
Poland in that case?
"I plan to manage my work remotely and adjust my schedule to
accommodate my studies in Poland."

10. If I will come to Azerbaijan, what are the places that I must
visit?
If you visit Azerbaijan, there are several places worth exploring. Baku,
the capital city, offers a mix of modern and historic sights like the Old
City (Icherisheher) and the Flame Towers. Gobustan National Park is
famous for its ancient rock carvings and mud volcanoes. In Sheki, you
can see beautiful old architecture and visit Sheki Khan's Palace. Gabala
is great for nature lovers with its mountains and outdoor activities, while
Quba is known for its scenic apple orchards and the traditional village of
Khinalug in the nearby mountains. These places give you a taste of
Azerbaijan's diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

13. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths:

14. What are your academic strengths and weaknesses

My academic strengths include strong analytical skills, which help me


excel in subjects like mathematics and science. I am also diligent about
completing assignments on time and paying attention to detail. However,
one of my weaknesses is that I sometimes struggle with time
management, especially when faced with multiple deadlines. I am
working on improving this by prioritizing tasks and creating a more
structured study schedule.

15. Can you discuss a challenging academic project or assignment


you completed?

I successfully completed the "network administration" course in my


third year of university and my teachers told me that I would make a
presentation. The Minister of Education was also coming to watch the
presentation. I was excited, but I gave a great presentation, everyone was
applauding me. It was a wonderful day for me. The minister gave me my
diploma. A few days later, I received job offers and started working.

16. How do you plan to contribute to our university/community?


Based on my pedagogy experience of more than 2 years, maybe I can
work as a teacher or trainer at your university after a while and
contribute to the university.
17. Describe a leadership experience you've had and what you
learned from it.

I generally prefer to be in the background rather than leading. My


leadership experience is often with students. Classroom management can
be an example of this. And a different experience is also available.
When we plan a trip with friends, family, or students, I am usually the
one who does the planning, and I suggest we cook by ourselves in the
nature view, rather than at a restaurant. And of course, I am the one who
cooks the meals.

18. What are your short-term and long-term goals?


My short term goal, if you will accept me, is to learn the Polish
language. Because I will study and live in Poland and I want to find a
job there. I have to learn the Polish language. It seems like an easy
language.
My long-term goal is to become an expert in my field and to contribute
to society after becoming an expert.

19. How do you handle stress or pressure?


I think, pressure makes me stronger. When I'm stressed, I usually talk to
my friend, drink tea, and read a book. After I rest my mind, I try to find
a solution.

20. Discuss a time when you faced a significant obstacle and how you
overcame it.
In our last year of university, we had to do group work for defense of
thesis. Our subject required us to prepare a course program.
We didn't have much time because we were working after university.
We were also a little excited. There were 10 days left until delivery, but
nothing was ready. I finally made a plan.

21. What extracurricular activities have you been involved in, and
how have they shaped you?

I have participated in local televised knowledge shows many times.


These competitions played a big role in expanding my worldview.
22. How do you stay updated on current events or trends in your
field of interest?

Reading News Websites and Journals, Following Industry Experts,

23. Can you discuss a research project or internship experience


relevant to your field of study?

I worked as an it helpdesk intern for 6 months at the company I currently


work for. It's normal to have something you don't know in the IT field.
During my intern period, I did a lot of research on YouTube and Google.
Faulty computer codes, corrupted system parts, software related
problems. They all forced me to research and I learned something new in
every research.
