ABSTRACT
Vise are tools that are frequently used and utilized globally in automobile sector. It’s
designed to reduce man power used in this sector where will be used for holding work
piece and also used for removal of push from arms it took a lot of time and also needed
a lot of skill in construction where it will cost KShs 5000.00 each. The major aim of the
the project is to ensure rapid growth in the automobile sector and ease use of more
energy during holding of work piece and also removal of bearing from the vehicle .
before invention of this tool some workshop used poor methods like use of hammers in
bearing removal but this new invention will imprive the process , material snd skills used
during this tool manufacture like thickk and durable metal plate will advantageous to
developed market fro this tool where this automobile both externally and globally

CHAPTER ONE
1.1 INTRODUCTION.
There has been rapid growth and development in the vehicle industry
sector .considering this global growth in this sector a simple vise press that uses simple
energy and skill in removal of bearing a vehicle has inspired people to create other new
equipments that boost and help in auto sector

5
1.2BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Before invention of new vise press some workshops used hammers in order to remove
some other bearings .use of those various technical procedures wasted a lot of time and
energy during the process where this new advert has made the process easy
1.3PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT
The major aim of the project ensure rapid in auto sector and ease
Of more energy
1.4PROBLEM STATEMENT
Some materials are expensive such as thick metal, metal rods and welding rods.
Lack of enough materials due to larger school population
Threading is a difficult technique that required more energy and time
1.5OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
The major aim of the project is to ensure growth and development in auto sector and
ease time and energy used by various engineers.
The secondary aim of the project is to develop market for business that will be
advantageous for
Manufacture vise press.

CHAPTER TWO
2.0LITERATURE REVIEW
Recently created vise presses will be of high demand in this auto sector. The tool is of
low quality production and low minimum production due its ease of use and low energy
and time during removal of bearings from the vehicle. The tools durability and
functionality has globally promoted growth in the auto sector.

CHAPTER THREE
3.0METHODOLOGY
Various materials were used in order to design a quality tool. Metals of great
Strength and stiffness were used to ensure tool durability and last for long period of
time.
3.1LIST OF MATERIALS
.thick metal plate
.welding rods

5
.thick metal rod
.paints
.filler
3.2FABRICATION PROCESS
I’m going to split the metal rod into three 30mm and one 20mm sections, split thick
metal plate into two 60mm and 40mm cylinder sections and a metal rod of 80mm for
the bolt production. Bring the pieces to the lathe machine do facing to the 80mm rod,
carry out turning ,threading and drill to insert an handle .I’m also going to drill the 30mm
cylinder and do facing and carry out internal threading and insert the new threaded bolt
to the 30mm cylinders. I will do welding of the cylinders to the 60mmm metal plate and
insert the bolt to it. I will also do sanding in order to ensure that its smooth band clean
for spray painting.
3.3BUDGET
item quantity Cost(KShs) Total cost(KShs)
Thick metal 2 600 1200
Welding rods 1 packet 200 200
Metal rods 3 250 750
Paint 1/3 kg 400 400
Body filler 1/3kg 400 400
TOTAL 2950

Labour cost 30% material cost

= 30/100X 2950
KShs.885.00
Total price = material cost+ labour cost
2950+885 = KShs.3835

CHAPTER FOUR
4.1 RECOMMENDATION
Design and manufacture of this tool took a lot of time and experience where it’s of high
quality since there will be waste if energy and time where I recommended that its is a
tool that should be launched and being sold to industries and workshops for use.
4.2CONCLUSION
This concept should be widely employed in both industries and workshops in order to
benefit engineers in their daily work because of the tools simplicity
