Learning Objectives:
● The global perspectives, three key principles of economic, social and
environmental, articulate the sustainability approach of the global agenda.
○ Quality of performance in presenting and delivery of student
understanding of the international system.
● Introducing sustainable developments, innovation opportunities from
design, and construction to operation and recyclers. Understanding
consumption/ production as an economic growth, identifying the
consequences on impacting the environment and society.
○ Is the student understanding the methodologies of sustainable
development issues and challenges facing the planet?
● Best practices and skills, command of good understanding of sustainable
development goals, mission and objectives of It’s diversification and
interlinkage in relationship to the best practice by governments, the private
sector and civil society, as well the foundation for quality reporting.
○ The level of solutions provided for good practice from policies, and
innovations to applications.

Mission Statement
This introductory course on principals, methodologies and practices of
knowledge, skills and tools aims to support the fundamental transformation
towards sustainability in all aspects of our lives; Humanity for health, safety and
the environment from generation to generation.

Course Description
This course addresses the growing evidence that human activity is significantly
transforming the natural systems of our plant that sustains us of generation.

We often think of economic growth, consumption and resources of our largely


urban lives, something separate from our most basic needs such as nutritious
food to eat, clean air to breathe, water to drink and natural energy depends on
the survivor of the ecological systems of which we are an integral part of it
(including physical, cultural, and economic)
The focus of the course is exploring the possibility of answering the question:
How is possible policies, advocacy and innovation maintaining a sustainable
relationship between humans, the natural world and economic growth?

To investigate this question we will explore principals, foundations and


applications of interconnectedness of Sustainable Development Goals.

This introductory course namely “​Sustainable Development” Principles,


Methodologies and Applications is the first course in your preparation education
program year at school or university.

The purpose of this course is to help you succeed to choose your best path of
college and future practice by exercising your abilities to integrate information,
articulate your positions, consider diverse points of view, and see the
consequences of your thoughts and actions.

This course focuses on “sustainability.” This will necessarily involve taking a


critical look at how cultural, economic, and political traditions shape our
relationship to the natural world? including; How the human relationship to
nature is understood, and the ways economic well being and satisfaction are
measured, and how terms such as “green” is a positive movement used in the
media, by public/ private sector including civil society, and practitioners to
promote “the future we need.”

Throughout the course encourages you to research widely on sustainability,


development and goals issues, report on your findings, participate actively in
discussions, and develop a deeper sense of responsibility to your own habits,
curiosity and creativity.

Course is designed to promote ten guiding values best practices: Volunteering,


tolerance, compassion, commitment, loyalty, citizenship, belonging, effective
communication, professional responsibility, early indicators watch, creativity,
innovation and sustainability.
Understanding sustainability with “green” best practices towards people, planet
and prosperity as well promoting knowledge in all aspects of daily life to achieve
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set to be archived 2030.

Course is to enhance students’ academic, “green” value, social experience and


sustainability encouragement in all aspects of his/ her life.

The course material contains the following:


● Philosophy and principles of sustainability transformation
● Exploration resources knowledges and skills for sustainable policy,
innovation and methodologies.
● Extensive discussion of best practice on interconnectivity of the Sustainable
Development Goals.

Grading % and Brief Descriptions of Course Assignments (subject to change, no

Main Class Participation 10%


Active participation and quality contributions to class sessions, including effort
given to the completion of informal class assignments.

Homework 20%
Short essays & quantitative exercises related to readings, assigned films, news
items, or other relevant topics.

Final Exam 30% (Three Terms Quizzes)


Midterm covering readings and other course materials and discussions. Quizzes
are closed-book, unannounced, but easy if you’ve done the reading

‫اﻟﻤﻘﺮر اﻟﺘﻤﻬﯿﺪﯾﺔ ﻟﻠﻤﻌﺮﻓﺔ واﻟﻤﻬﺎرات واﻷدوات اﻟﺘﻰ ﺗﺪﻋﻢ اﻟﺘﺤﻮل اﻷﺳﺎﺳﻲ ﻧﺤﻮ اﻻﺳﺘﺪاﻣﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺟﻤﯿﻊ ﺟﻮاﻧﺐ‬

‫ﻫﻨﺎك أدﻟﺔ ﻣﺘﺰاﯾﺪة ﻋﻠﻰ أن اﻟﻨﺸﺎط اﻟﺒﺸﺮي ﯾﺆﺛﺮ ﺳﻠﺒﺎ ﺑﺸﻜﻞ ﻛﺒﯿﺮ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻨﻈﻢ اﻟﻄﺒﯿﻌﯿﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺪﻋﻢ ﺣﯿﺎﺗﻨﺎ ﻋﻠﻰ‬
‫ﺳﻄﺢ اﻷرض‪.‬‬

‫ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﺮﻏﻢ ﻣﻦ أﻧﻨﺎ ﻗﺪ ﻧﻔﻜﺮ ﻏﺎﻟﺒًﺎ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻨﻤﻮ اﻻﻗﺘﺼﺎدي واﻻﺳﺘﻬﻼك وﻣﻮارد ﺣﯿﺎﺗﻨﺎ اﻟﺤﻀﺮﯾﺔ ‪ ،‬إﻻ أﻧﻪ ﺷﯿًﺌﺎ‬
‫ً‬

‫ﺗﺮﻛﺰ ﻫﺬه اﻟﺪورة ﻋﻠﻰ اﺳﺘﻜﺸﺎف إﻣﻜﺎﻧﯿﺔ اﻹﺟﺎﺑﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﺴﺆال‪​ :‬ﻛﯿﻒ ﯾﻤﻜﻦ اﻟﺤﻔﺎظ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻋﻼﻗﺔ ﻣﺴﺘﺪاﻣﺔ ﺑﯿﻦ‬

‫ﺗﻌﺪ ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﺪراﺳﯿﺔ واﻟﺘﺪرﯾﺒﯿﺔ اﻟﺨﺎﺻﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺴﺘﻮى "​اﻟﺘﺤﻀﯿﺮي" ﻫﻲ "​اﻟﺘﻨﻤﯿﺔ اﻟﻤﺴﺘﺪاﻣﺔ‪ :‬اﻟﻤﺒﺎدئ واﻷﺳﺲ‬
‫واﻟﺘﻄﺒﯿﻘﺎت" وﻫﻲ أول دورة دراﺳﯿﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺑﺮﻧﺎﻣﺞ اﻟﺘﻌﻠﯿﻢ اﻟﺘﺤﻀﯿﺮي ﺑﺠﺎﻣﻌﺔ اﻷﻣﯿﺮ ﺳﻠﻄﺎن اﻟﺨﯿﺮﯾﺔ‪.‬‬

‫ﻋﻨﺪ إﻛﻤﺎل ﻫﺬة اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﺪراﺳﯿﺔ ‪ ،‬ﺳﺘﻜﻮن ﻗﺪ أﻛﻤﻠﻨﺎ ﻣﺎ ﯾﻌﺎدل )‪ (٣‬ﺛﻼث ﺳﺎﻋﺎت ﻣﻌﺘﻤﺪة ‪ .‬اﻟﻐﺮض ﻣﻦ ﻫﺬه اﻟﻤﺎدة‬
‫اﻟﺪراﺳﯿﺔ واﻟﺘﺪرﯾﺐ ﻫﻮ ﻣﺴﺎﻋﺪﺗﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻨﺠﺎح ﻓﻲ اﺧﺘﯿﺎر أﻓﻀﻞ ﻃﺮﯾﻖ ﻟﻚ ﻧﺤﻮ اﻟﻤﻤﺎرﺳﺔ اﻟﺠﺎﻣﻌﯿﺔ واﻟﻤﺴﺘﻘﺒﻠﯿﺔ‬
‫ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼل ﺗﻔﻌﯿﻞ ﻗﺪراﺗﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ دﻣﺞ اﻟﻤﻌﻠﻮﻣﺎت وﺗﻮﺿﯿﺢ ﻣﻮاﻗﻔﻚ واﻟﻨﻈﺮ ﻓﻲ وﺟﻬﺎت ﻧﻈﺮ ﻣﺘﻨﻮﻋﺔ ورؤﯾﺔ ﻋﻮاﻗﺐ‬
‫أﻓﻜﺎرك وأﻓﻌﺎﻟﻚ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﻤﺎرﺳﺎت اﻟﻤﻬﻨﯿﺔ إﻟﻰ اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪﻧﻲ‪.‬‬

‫ﯾﺮﻛﺰ ﻫﺬا اﻟﻄﺮح ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻔﻬﻮم وﺗﻄﺒﯿﻘﺎت "​اﻻﺳﺘﺪاﻣﺔ"‪ .‬اﻟﺬي ﯾﺸﻤﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﻀﺮورة إﻟﻘﺎء ﻧﻈﺮة ﻧﻘﺪﯾﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻛﯿﻔﯿﺔ ﺗﻄﺒﯿﻖ‬
‫اﻟﺘﻘﺎﻟﯿﺪ اﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﯿﺔ واﻻﻗﺘﺼﺎدﯾﺔ واﻟﺴﯿﺎﺳﯿﺔ ﻧﺤﻮ ﻋﻼﻗﺘﻨﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ اﻟﻄﺒﯿﻌﻲ واﻻﻋﺘﺒﺎري ‪ ،‬ﺑﻤﺎ ﻓﻲ ذﻟﻚ ﻛﯿﻔﯿﺔ ﻓﻬﻢ اﻟﻌﻼﻗﺔ‬
‫ﺑﯿﻦ اﻹﻧﺴﺎن واﻟﻄﺒﯿﻌﺔ ‪ ،‬وﺳﺒﻞ اﻟﺮﻓﺎﻫﯿﺔ اﻻﻗﺘﺼﺎدﯾﺔ وﻛﯿﻒ ﯾﻤﻜﻦ ﻗﯿﺎس اﻟﺮﺿﺎ ‪ ،‬وﻛﯿﻒ ﯾﺘﻢ اﺳﺘﺨﺪام ﻣﺼﻄﻠﺤﺎت‬
‫ﻣﺜﻞ "​اﻻﺳﺘﺪاﻣﺔ" و "​اﻟﺨﻀﺮاء" ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﻤﺎرﺳﺎت اﻟﻤﻬﻨﯿﺔ وﺳﺎﺋﻞ اﻹﻋﻼم واﻟﻤﻤﺎرﺳﺎت اﻟﺘﻄﻮﻋﯿﺔ ‪ ،‬ﻣﻦ ﻗﺒﻞ‬
‫اﻷﻓﺮاد واﻟﻘﻄﺎع اﻟﻌﺎم واﻟﺨﺎص ﺑﻤﺎ ﻓﻲ ذﻟﻚ اﻟﻤﺠﺘﻤﻊ اﻟﻤﺪﻧﻲ واﻟﻤﺤﺘﺮﻓﯿﻦ‪.‬‬

‫ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺪار ﻣﺪة اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﺪراﺳﯿﺔ ‪ ،‬اﻟﺘﺸﺠﯿﻊ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﺒﺤﺚ ﻓﻲ ﻧﻄﺎق واﺳﻊ ﺣﻮل ﻗﻀﺎﯾﺎ أﻫﺪاف اﻟﺘﻨﻤﯿﺔ اﻟﻤﺴﺘﺪاﻣﺔ )‬
‫‪ ، (SDGs‬واﻹﺑﻼغ ﻋﻦ اﻟﻨﺘﺎﺋﺞ اﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﻮﺻﻠﺖ إﻟﯿﻬﺎ ‪ ،‬واﻟﻤﺸﺎرﻛﺔ ﺑﻨﺸﺎط ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﻨﺎﻗﺸﺎت ‪ ،‬وﺗﻄﻮﯾﺮ ﺷﻌﻮر أﻋﻤﻖ‬
‫ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺴﺆوﻟﯿﺔ ﺗﺠﺎه ﻋﺎداﺗﻜﻢ و ﻓﻀﻮﻟﻜﻢ وإﺑﺪاﻋﺎﺗﻜﻢ‪.‬‬

‫ﺗﻢ ﺗﺼﻤﯿﻢ ﻫﺬه اﻟﺪورة ﻟﺘﻌﺰﯾﺰ ﻗﯿﻢ ﺳﻌﻒ® اﻟﻌﺸﺮ اﻹرﺷﺎدﯾﺔ وﻫﻲ‪ :‬اﻻﺣﺘﺴﺎب ﷲ واﻟﺘﺴﺎﻣﺢ واﻟﺘﺮاﺣﻢ واﻟﺒﺬل‬
