TEMPORARY VACANCY

The Goethe-Institut e. V. is the worldwide cultural institute of the Federal


Republic of Germany. We promote the learning of the German language
abroad and perpetuate international cultural cooperation. Moreover, we
strive to paint a realistic picture of Germany through information about
the cultural, societal and political life.
In the new project “Living and Working in Germany” of the Asylum, Migration and
Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union, we support East Africans who are moving
permanently to Germany to work there. We provide vital information and networks to
facilitate the migration process. The integration begins in the country of origin. Our
countries of focus are Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.

The project is preparing a training and capacity building program for multipliers who will
disseminate vital information to our target group in Kenya and in the neighbouring
countries stated above.

To support the training and capacity building program of the


AMIF-Project in East Africa, we are looking for a:

Temporary Data Entry and Office Assistant

01.11.2024 – 30.06.2025 (40 hours weekly)

Your duties:

• Accurately enter and update information from analogue sources into online formats,
ensuring timely and error-free processing.
• Verify and validate sources through cross-referencing to maintain the integrity of our
information resources.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and rectify discrepancies in our facts and figures.
• Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
• Receive and respond to general queries from the public
• Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
• Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
• Be available to receive walk-in guests
• Assisting in preparing reports and statistics
• Clerical and Miscellaneous activities contributing to the implementation of AMIF-
Kenya programs
• General office work relating to AMIF programs
• Any other duties as assigned by AMIF-Kenya leadership
Your profile:

• A Diploma in Administration or other relevant field


• Good command of German language is mandatory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven administration skills
• Highly organized and great attention to detail
• Proactive, self-driven, can work without supervision and under pressure
• Good IT and research skills
• Great intercultural skills
• Motivation und creativity
• Team player
