Good evening to the esteemed Director, Prof. B K Kanaujia,

Registrar, Prof. Ajay Bansal, Dean of Student Welfare, Prof.
Anish Sachdeva, faculty coordinators, deans, faculty
members, and beloved students. I, Anika Sharma, and I,
Anshuman Upadhyay, warmly welcome all of you on this
auspicious occasion of Bharat Dhwani, as we come together
to celebrate the 22nd Foundation Day of Dr. B R Ambedkar
National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. This institution,
originally established in 1987 as a Regional Engineering
College, was granted the status of a National Institute of
Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India
on October 17, 2002. The Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India, has recognized it as an
"Institute of National Importance" under the act of
Parliament-2007.
Today provides us with the opportunity to pause and reflect on the
remarkable journey of transformation that both the institution
and the nation it serves have undergone. The relentless efforts
of the administration, faculty, staff, and students have been
acknowledged, as evident in NIRF ranking NIT Jalandhar at
the 46th position in the Engineering category for the year
2023.
Without a doubt, the faculty has played a pivotal role in the
continued success of the institute. Their unwavering support,
invaluable guidance, and unwavering dedication have been a
constant source of inspiration for all students privileged to be
a part of this institution.

We must also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the non-academic
staff, including the technical and administrative personnel,
hostel administrators, mess workers, janitors, and construction
workers, for their indispensable contributions.
As we celebrate our history and reconnect with the ongoing journey
of the institution, we also rejoice in the remarkable
infrastructure and excellent facilities we are fortunate to have.
We celebrate the joy of learning as we grow in mind, body,
and spirit, and cherish the bonds we share with past and
present students of NIT, Jalandhar. This institution has been
more than a place of learning; it has been a home to thousands
of students who have come from across the world to receive a
world-class education.
On this Foundation Day, we make a solemn pledge to work
diligently for the growth and development of the institute in
all aspects. We seek the heartfelt blessings and good wishes of
our professors, alumni, and well-wishers to help us succeed in
our mission.
So, before we embark on our journey today, we will begin with a
Ganesh Vandana, an expression of our profound love for Lord
Ganesh.

Vandana truly set the stage for an auspicious beginning. Let us
take a moment to acknowledge the divine blessings of Lord
Ganesha that paved the way for this beautiful event.

Kunwar- In the gentle glow of thew lamp’s warm light, we find
wisdom to guide our hearts right, lets kindle the lamp with
grace and pride, as our college’s legacy continues to ride.
S- The Lamp Lighting ceremony symbolises the dispelling of
darkness with the light of knowledge. It signifies the
eradication of darkness and the pursuit of knowledge.
Tonight ,We have gathered here in the embrace of unity,
seeking the blessings of the divine light. To commence this
auspicious occasion, I would now like to invite our esteemed
guests, _______to join us in lighting the lamp and
inaugurating this grand celebration. I request all the faculty
members and TCA student members to escort Director Sir and
Registrar Sir for the lamp lighting ceremony on the stage.
