HS 1101 Introduction To Health Science - PLOs - Unit 1
PLOs stand for "Program Learning Outcomes." They are specific statements describing the knowledge,
skills, abilities, and attitudes that students are expected to achieve by the end of a particular educational
program or course. PLOs provide a clear framework for what students should have learned and
accomplished during their studies.
In the context of the Health Sciences Program at the University of the People, PLOs outline the key
learning objectives and goals for students enrolled in that program. These outcomes guide the curriculum,
and help ensure that students gain a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to health
sciences and are prepared for their future careers in the field. PLOs help both students and educators
understand the expected outcomes of the program and provide a basis for assessment and evaluation of
student learning. Also, note that the PLOs are aligned with the CLOs (Course Learning Outcomes).
