Advice for fire fighters: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure demand and full protective gear. During a fire,
irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal
decomposition or combustion.
Environmental precautions: Avoid run off into storm sewers and ditches which lead to
waterways.
Methods and materials for containing and cleaning up: Absorb spill with inert
material (vermiculite, sand, earth), then place in suitable container. Clean spills
immediately. Provide sufficient ventilation. High risk of slipping due to spillage of
product.
Handling: Use with adequate ventilation. Use safety glasses and PVC safety gloves.
Avoid breathing vapours from heated material. Avoid contact with eyes,
skin and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid breathing spray or
mist.
Storage: Keep container closed when not in use. Store in a tightly closed container.
Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from incompatible
substances. Sensitive to frost. If the product becomes opaque, or freezes
due to the effects of cold, allow to thaw at room temperature
