The diagram illustrates the process of producing ethanol from biofuel sources. The
main stages include harvesting, grinding, cooking, fermentation, distillation,
dehydration, and storage.

The process begins with the harvesting of raw materials, typically corn or
other biomass rich in carbohydrates. These harvested materials are then ground
into a fine powder to increase the surface area for the subsequent processes.

Next, the ground biomass is mixed with water and cooked at high temperatures.
This cooking process, known as liquefaction, breaks down the complex
carbohydrates into simpler sugars. The cooked mixture is then cooled and
transferred to fermentation tanks, where yeast is added. During
the fermentation stage, the yeast converts the sugars into ethanol and carbon
dioxide, a process that can take several hours to days.

After fermentation, the mixture contains a low concentration of ethanol, which is

then subjected to distillation. Distillation separates ethanol from the
remaining water and other components, increasing its concentration. However,
the distilled ethanol still contains some water, which is removed in the
dehydration stage to produce anhydrous ethanol, suitable for use as fuel. Finally,
the ethanol is stored in tanks until it is ready for transportation and use as a
biofuel.

In summary, the ethanol production process involves several key stages that
transform raw biomass into ethanol through mechanical, chemical, and biological
methods. The efficiency of each stage, particularly fermentation and distillation, is
crucial for optimizing the yield and quality of the final product.

The diagram illustrates how product produce, ethanol.

Overall, the process involves physical, chemical, and biological treatments to

produce ethanol from trees and plants. Ethanol is then used as an alternative to
fossil fuels to reduce pollution.

At the beginning of the six-stage process, plants and trees absorb carbon dioxide
and sunlight from the atmosphere. A process called photosynthesis helps
convert these two ingredients into energy, which directly contributes to the
growth of these plants and trees. As they reach maturity, people harvest them
using machinery. The harvested products undergo a pre-
processing process, which breaks them down into strands of cellulose by crushing.
With the help of chemicals, these cellulose strands are further deconstructed into
different sugar molecules.
After the aforementioned physical and chemical treatment steps, these sugar
molecules are then biologically processed. Microbes are added to convert the
sugars into ethanol, which in turn is used as a fuel to power vehicles with
combustion engines such as cars, trucks, and planes. These vehicles burn up
the ethanol, releasing carbon dioxide as waste into the atmosphere.
The trees and plants, in turn, consume this as their food, and the cycle restarts.

The diagram shows the way such biofuel as ethanol is produced
from trees and plants.

Overall, the process begins when plants and trees grow by absorbing sunlight
and carbon dioxide and finishes when carbon dioxide is released by cars and
thereby returned to the atmosphere. The process includes several key stages
such as harvesting, pre-processing, processing and is fully repeatable.

The cycle begins when trees absorb sunlight and carbon dioxide from air to grow,
after which they are harvested for further processing.
Next, these harvested plants are pre-processed, namely they are chopped into
small pieces by means of a shredder. Following this, these chops are turned into
cellulose, which undergo the chemical process on the following step,
during which sugars are extracted from them. After that, these sugars are mixed
together with Microbes. The microbes consume sugars, leaving ethanol which is
then used as a fuel for Cars, Trucks and Planes. When moving, these vehicles
burn ethanol and release Carbon Dioxide, which is ready to be consumed
by plants again. Following this, the process starts over again.
