Cultural and Social Olympiad
Registration:
• Teams must register by the deadline and submit a brief business idea overview.
Business Idea:
• The idea must be original and address a real-world problem with a viable business
model.
• Open to all sectors (tech, healthcare, social, etc.).
Submission:
• Teams must submit a detailed business plan (max 10 pages), covering problem, solution,
market, financials, and team background.
Presentation:

• Innovation (25%)
• Market potential (25%)
• Financial viability (20%)
• Team expertise (15%)
• Presentation skills (15%)
Type of Competition:
• 5 minute pitch
Evaluation criteria:
• Your business model
Evaluators:
• 3 relevant faculty members
• Subject to quality of Business model, recommendation of evaluators and approval of
management team.
Qualification:
• Top 3 teams+ wild card entry
• Before commencement of the round, each team must submit a copy of their
presentation to the management team.
• Presentations may be no longer than 10 slides of content (as per sample).
• Changes to the personnel of your team are not permitted once this round begins.
• You are not permitted to take assistance from anyone other than your team members
to deliver the presentation.
• It is not compulsory for all team members to deliver a part of the presentation
(although they should be present on stage).
• The decision of the evaluators will be final.
• Each team must ensure timely presence at the venue before the round starts. Failure
to do so will result in disqualification.
• Any team found to have copied an original idea (business model) from another team
will be disqualified.
• Teams must ensure discipline at all times and not engage in useless banter with any of
their opponents
The question answer session will be held at the end of the presentation.

• Objective:
▪ Participants are required to create an engaging vlog that covers and showcases the
Air Nexus Event. The vlog should highlight the unique aspects of the event, offering
creativity, storytelling, and visual appeal.
• Categories:
▪ Event Coverage: Capture key moments, activities, and highlights of the Air Nexus
event.
▪ Behind the Scenes: Showcase what happens backstage, including interviews with
organizers, participants, or visitors.
▪ Campus Life and Air Nexus: Focus on the broader university atmosphere during the
event, capturing interactions, and how the event fits into campus life.
▪ Creative Concepts: Provide an artistic or experimental approach to covering the Air
Nexus event.
General Guidelines:
• Content:
▪ Vlogs must be original and created specifically for this competition.
▪ Participants have full creative freedom, but content must be appropriate for a
general audience.
▪ Language: Vlogs can be in any language.
• Format:
▪ Submit in .mp4 or .mov format with a minimum resolution of 720p.
▪ Duration: Vlogs can be between (2-20 minutes), including credits.
• Aspect Ratio:
▪ 16:9 (Widescreen) / 9:16 (Vertical).
• Credits:
▪ Must include a list of participants and their respective roles (e.g., Director, Editor,
Storyteller, Videographer etc.).
• Submission Requirements:
▪ The file name should follow the format: [Title]_[Name]_[CNIC]_[Entry No.]
▪ Submissions should be uploaded to cloud storage e.g., Google Drive etc., and the
link should be shared to the email [email protected]
▪ Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Judging Criteria:
▪ Creativity & Originality (35%)
▪ How innovative is the vlog’s concept? Does it offer a fresh take on the chosen topic?
▪ Engagement (25%)
▪ Does the vlog maintain viewer interest throughout? Is it engaging and entertaining?
▪ Technical Quality (20%)
▪ How well is the vlog produced, including cinematography, editing, sound design,
and overall aesthetics?
▪ Storytelling & Flow (15%)
▪ Is there a clear narrative or flow? How well does the vlog convey its message or
theme?
▪ Audience Appeal (5%)
▪ Does the vlog resonate with a broad audience? How impactful is it emotionally or
intellectually?
• Rules & Regulations:
▪ Copyright: All music, images, and footage must be original, licensed, or royalty-free.
▪ Content Restrictions: No offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content.
▪ Use of Equipment: Participants may use any equipment (cameras, any editing,
software).
▪ Plagiarism: Any plagiarized or unauthorized content will result in disqualification.
▪ Collaboration: Teams are encouraged to collaborate on production, but the final
product must reflect their original work.
• Disqualification:
▪ Failure to follow guidelines or meet the submission deadline.
▪ Submitting plagiarized or copyrighted content without permission.
▪ Any attempts to unfairly influence judges or audience votes.
▪ Submitting inappropriate or offensive content.

Note: The teams themselves are responsible for setting the stage according to their
requirements. The participant team will be given sufficient time for this purpose in between
the plays. In case of arising issues, the rules might vary a little however the judge’s decisions
are final.

25 PAINTING
Rules:
• Eligibility:
o Open to students from all participating universities.
o Participants must register before the deadline.
• Medium:
o Participants will bring their medium (watercolors, oil paints, acrylics, pastels,
etc.).
o Participants must bring their own materials (paints, brushes, paints, etc.).
• Time Limit:
o 1-2 hours will be given to complete the painting.
• Canvas/Paper Size:
o The provided surface should be no larger than 24 x 30 inches (confirm the exact
size based on your event requirements).
• Judgment Criteria:
o Creativity
o Relevance to theme
o Use of colors
o Overall presentation
o Originality
• Submission:
o Paintings must be completed within the allotted time and submitted to the
judging panel immediately afterward.

o Any form of copying or plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.

• Eligibility:
• Registration:
• Teams must register by the given deadline with a project idea related to web
development.
• Project Scope:
• Development Phase:
• Participants can use any web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, backend
frameworks).
• Teams must build their applications from scratch; pre-existing projects are not allowed.
• Submission:
• Teams must submit their completed web applications, along with a brief project
description and source code, by the competition deadline.
• Judging Criteria:
• Presentation:
• Shortlisted teams will present their web application to a panel of judges in a 5-7 minute
pitch, followed by Q&A.
• Conduct:
• Projects must adhere to ethical guidelines (no offensive content). Plagiarism or pre-built
templates are prohibited.
• Eligibility:

• Competition Format:
• CTF will be Jeopardy-style, with teams solving cybersecurity challenges to earn points.
• Challenges cover categories like cryptography, web security, reverse engineering,
forensics, and more.
• Scoring:
• Teams earn points by capturing flags hidden in challenges. More difficult challenges
yield higher points.
• The team with the highest points at the end of the competition wins.
• Rules of Play:
• Teams must adhere to ethical hacking standards. Any malicious activity or cheating
leads to disqualification.
• The server and receiver remain in their respective service courts, but after the server
wins a point, they switch sides.
• Players in the serving team continue to rotate between left and right sides until the
rally is lost.
FAULTS
• A fault occurs when the shuttlecock:
• Lands outside the boundaries of the court.
• Passes through or under the net. Fails to cross the net.
• Touches the ceiling or side walls.
• Is hit twice by the same player/team.
• It is also a fault if the player touches the net with their body or racket.
RALLIES
• Each team is allowed one hit to return the shuttle over the net.
• The rally continues until the shuttlecock hits the floor or a fault is committed.
CHANGING SIDES
• Players change sides of the court after each game.
• In the third game, if necessary, players change sides when the leading score reaches 11
points.
LET
• A let is called when:
• The server serves before the opponent is ready.
• The shuttlecock gets stuck in the net after crossing it.
• There’s any interruption or an unclear situation in the rally. In the event of a let, the
point is replayed.
TIME-OUTS
• Each player/team is allowed 1 time-out per match, lasting 60 seconds. There is a 2-
minute break between each game.
CONDUCT
• Players must show respect for opponents and officials.
• Any unsportsmanlike behavior, arguing with referees, or delaying the game will result
in warnings or penalties.

• Number of Drops: Teams with fewer successful drops score higher.
• Egg Condition: No cracks = highest score; partial cracks = medium score.
• Critical Floor Identification: Higher points for identifying the safest drop height.
• Time Taken: Faster completion acts as a tiebreaker.
• Design & Innovation: Unique and effective designs score higher.
• Teamwork: Collaboration and communication during the challenge matter.
• Handling of Materials: Careless handling leads to penalties.
• Judge’s Authority: Judges’ decisions are final.
