APPENDIX 1
01. GENERAL
On the following pages all aeroplane de-icing/anti-icing fluids are mentioned, which are approved for the usage on aeroplanes operated by
the company. It is strictly forbidden to use any other product, irrespective of any documentation or certificates presented by the user(s).
WARNING:
Some manufacturers of such products are using very similar names for different fluids, and it may happen that a part of them is
approved and some are not qualified. It is absolute important that the exact fluid name is verified to avoid the application of a fluid not
mentioned in the following lists.
WARNING:
As only one Type III Fluid is available, no Generic or Brand Name Table is specifically mentioned. The shown tables shall be directly
used for the product mentioned.
CAUTION:
The “List of Qualified Fluids” published by FAA and Transport Canada may contain more fluids as mentioned in this document. Both
authorities accept fluids without checking the complete documentation for compliance with the applicable standards and
specifications. Also, fluids are mentioned, which are no longer in production, are not used or certification has expired. Therefore, the
usage of these documents is not recommended at all.
CAUTION:
Very often, service providers are giving the information that a “Pre Diluted” fluid is used in a concentration not equal to 100:0. In such
a case the check of the refractive index is mandatory before treatment, as Pre Diluted fluids are not approved for further dilution.

NOTE:
The list of qualified fluids, which can be found in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) of the airframe manufacturer may differ from
this one. They are often not updated and therefore do not reflect the market situation. In such cases this list supersedes all other
information.
NOTE:
Fluids, which are shown in light yellow shading, have an expired certification or are in the recertification process, but the usage is still
acceptable.
