Pattern

INFO AND TIPS


A classic raglan top-down construction with a lot of positive ease, and beautiful I-Cord edges.
The sweater is knitted with two strands of yarn.

RAGLAN V-NECK
With two strands of yarn on 8mm (US 11) circular needle CO 38 (44) 44 (44) stitches and
divide them as follows:

Size XS: 1, PM, purl 8, PM, purl 20, PM, purl 8, PM, purl 1

Size (S) M (L): Purl 1, PM, purl 10, PM, purl 22, PM, purl 10, PM, purl 1

Row 1: knit to SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the
next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, k to end of row

Row 2: Purl all stitches

Row 3: knit 1, M1R, knit to SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R,
knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to the next SM, M1L, slip SM, M1R, knit to 1
stitch before the end of row, M1L, k to end of row

Row 4: purl all stitches

Repeat those four rows a total of 11 (13) 13 (13) times.

Join to work in the round and place a SM in the middle of back stitches. This new SM marks
the beginning of the row.

Size M and (L) only: repeat the first two rows 4 (7) more times.

Sts are divided as follows: 68 (80) 88 (94) sts front, 52 (62) 70 (76) sts per sleeve, 64 (74) 82
(88) sts back.

Now separate the sleeves from the body:
Knit to the first SM, slip sleeve stitches on some leftover yarn and let them rest, CO 1, knit to
the next SM, slip sleeve stitches on some leftover yarn and let them rest, CO 1, k to end of
row.

Place SM in front and after your new CO stitches under the arm.

BODY
Knit until your piece measures 12 (14) 16 (16) cm from the CO stitches under the arm.

Knit to two stitches before the first SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, knit to two
stitches before the next SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, k to end of round.

Knit two rounds.

Knit to two stitches before the first SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, knit to two
stitches before the next SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, k to end of round.

Knit one round.

Knit to two stitches before the first SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, knit to two
stitches before the next SM, SSK, slip SM, knit 1, slip SM, K2tog, k to end of round.

Switch to 6 mm circular needles and knit one round. Break the yarn.

I-CORD HEM
Work a 5 stitch I-Cord hem on 6mm needles. BO the 5 stitches and sew the ends of I-Cord
together.

SLEEVES
Put the sleeve stitches back on your 8mm circular needle and pick up 1 stitch under the
arm. Knit until the sleeve measures 32 (32) 34 (34) cm / 12.5 (12.5) 13.5 (13.5)”

Knit1, K2tog until the end of round.

Switch to 6 mm circular needles and knit one round. Break the yarn.

Repeat the steps from the I-CORD HEM.

NECK
Work an I-Cord edge of 5 stitches around the neck (approximately 120 stitches). BO the 5
stitches and sew the ends of I-Cord together.

Weave in all ends and enjoy!
