! SAFETY INFORMATION
Before installing and putting the Versa ResQ1000/1600/2500 into operation,
please read these safety instructions carefully.
The system contains hazardous voltages that are fatal for the user.
Hence installation and maintenance must be performed by qualified
technicians only.
Do not touch any terminals while observing LED indications.
Switch off the mains MCB (MCB1) and battery MCB (MCB2) before
making or changing any connection(s).
Switch off the mains MCB (MCB1) and battery MCB (MCB2) before
connecting or disconnecting the batteries.
If mains must be disconnected for prolonged period, switch off
battery MCB (MCB2) to avoid battery discharge.
Charging will not take place if the battery voltage is below 30V.
Confirm that input supply voltage and frequency matches the
specified Versa ResQ1000/1600/2500 input voltage and frequency
before connecting.
Before adjusting the DIP switch positions and potentiometer, ensure
that rescue cycle is not started.
Do not place the system on uneven stand or table. Ensure that it is
safely mounted on the wall using heavy-duty bolts. Otherwise
serious injury to the personnel and damage to the system may
occur.
There are no user serviceable parts in the
Versa ResQ1000/1600/2500. In case of failure send the unit to factory
for repair.
! DANGER
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious
injury to the personnel or equipment damage

1. System description
1.1 Introduction
Versa ResQ1000/1600/2500 provides battery backup when the utility power fails or
drops below an unexpected level to make the lift cab to reach the nearest floor.
2. System operation
2.1 Introduction
This chapter describes the operation and LED indications of the system.
2.2 Operation
When the utility power is present, the system supplies utility power to the lift control
panel through mains contactor K1. During the presence of utility power, the system
charges the battery (Four 12V batteries in series) if its voltage is below 52V.
If the utility power fails or drops below an unexpected level determined by „PFRR’
input from lift control panel, the system provides power through an internal inverter
as mentioned below.
Rescue cycle
If the cab is in between the floor levels, the rescue cycle starts which make the cab
to reach the nearest floor.
As soon as the nearest floor is reached, the input ‘ARD function stop’ becomes
active. Then after 10 seconds the following are switched off
a) Inverter contactor K2
b) Processor input relay
c) PFA relay
d) Drive speed selection relay
Then the rescue cycle ends.
c) PFA relay
d) Drive speed selection relay
and the rescue cycle ends.
After rescue operation, the system waits for a minute. After a minute if there is no
utility power, the system will go into “Power save” mode. The system resumes to
“Normal mode” when the utility power comes or „Trigger on no mains‟ input active.
During “Power save” mode all the LEDs are switched off except power on (PON)
LED.

Table 3
DIP switch positions to be set according to Versa ResQ model and drive
rating used.
If the load exceeds 50% of the configured drive rating (Determined by DIP switch1,
switch 2, and switch 3 combinations), the over load (OL) relay is switched on.
Before the start of rescue operation, if the DIP switch 5 is on, the system will wait for
the time period [can be adjusted (5 to 60 seconds) by varying the potentiometer
(Pot)]. If the generator output comes, the system will not start rescue operation,
otherwise rescue operation is started after the time period has elapsed.
The system indicates the various processes by illuminating the corresponding LED.
LED Condition Description
MON On Mains on
BCH On Battery charging
ION On Inverter on
50L On 50% load
BFT Blinking Battery fault
OLD On Over load
BLO On Battery voltage is below 42V
BHI On Battery voltage is greater than 58V
ULD On Under load
LD1 On 21% - 50% load
Table 4
During rescue operation if any fault occurs, the system stops the rescue
operation.
The system indicates the over current fault by blinking ‘FLT’ LED for a minute.
During battery fault (Battery with load), the system checks the battery voltage
every 5 minutes till the fault is cleared.
During rescue operation if the battery voltage falls below 25V, the system
switches on the Low battery relay and indicates the fault by blinking ‘BFT’
LED twice until the fault is cleared.
In case of battery fault, the rescue operation will not take place even if the
utility power fails.
