GUIDELINES

FOR VOCABULARY REVIEW ROUTINE

Dear Teachers,
To help students become better in memorizing and retaining vocabulary, we
would ask for your support in carrying out the suggested routine below at the
beginning of every class.
1. Target students: From SK to IELTS level
2. Time allocation: 15 - 20 minutes (integrated with review/warm-up
activities)
3. Start date: March 25th, 2024
4. Materials: flashcards, V-HUB (provided), Vocabulary Journal*.
*Vocabulary Journal: Students are to prepare a notebook and to use the
suggested template below to keep track of vocabulary themselves.
* Students can use the blank pages in MCBs in case they forget their
Vocabulary Journals.
5. How to conduct:
 For TAs: In addition to the usual TAs’ routine,
- Have students draw 3 columns in their Vocabulary Journal and assist
them, as needed (see suggested template on page 3).
- Have students review/peer check the vocabulary in their journal in
previous lessons.
- Note: The Vocabulary Journal can also be used as extra review
materials for Final Oral sessions.
 For Teachers:
Step 1 (5 – 10 minutes): Review vocabulary
