The diagrams below show some principles of house design for cool and for
warm climates.

shape of roof, window,insulation

The diagram depicts how house designs differ according to climate.
The most noticeable difference between houses designed for a cool and warm
climate is in the shape of the roof. The designs also differ in terms of the windows
and the use of insulation.
In cool climate, home has it roofs slanted upwards at approximately 45 degree
angle in order to receive maximum sunlight. The window is wide to cover as much
as sunlight as possible to warm the house. Moreover, thermal building material and
internal wall insulation are featured to maintain the heat overnight.
On the other hand, home in warm climate features sloped roofs with roof
overhangs to provide extra protection from sunlight. Additionally, it applies
reflective roof material on the outside and external insulation to ultimately defend
the heat. The windows are kept closed during daytime but opened at night to
ventilate the house and deprive of the stored heat inside.
In many places, new homes are needed, but the only space available for building
them is in the countryside. Some people believe it is more important to protect
the countryside and not build new homes there. What is your opinion about this?

In the contemporary era,the notion of constructing accommodations in the

countryside has ignited a contentious debate. While many argue that it should be
forbidden to preserve natural landscapes, my perspective aligns with judicious
development of new homes in rural areas, provided with stringent environmental
policies and meticulous planning.
On the one hand, there is an undeniable need to address the housing problem that
exists in numerous regions. Representing as a negative aspect of social
advancements, rural exoduses, obviously, exarcebate the demand for
accommodation in urban areas, which is extremely challenging due to the scarcity
of untouched spaces in metropolises. By contrast, the countryside offers an
abundance of area suitable for constructing buildings. Additionally, the raise of
numerous amenities will result in the development in various aspects of life,
including environmental preservation sector. It is widely acknowledged that the
emergence of advanced biology and technology may stimulate multiple effort and
solutions to the environmental crisis.
On the other hand, while ecological system in the countryside is significantly
beneficial from scientific development, numerous problems may emerge as a result
of new homes construction. For instance, various housing constructions are
projected on paddy fields or rich pastures, thus distracting the flora and fauna of
these areas. Additionally, rural landscapes holds profound value not only in
ecological terms but also in cultural ones. The countryside not only serves as a
vital green lung, offering respite from urban sprawl, but also plays an essential role
in maintaining hallmark traditions and heritages. For this reason, numerous
locations are prohibited for construction purpose in order to preserve their pristine
values.
In conclusion, while manufacturing accomodations in rural areas is beneficial in
specific aspects, its practicality is being questioned by several potential drawbacks
relating to the environment and cultural value. Therefore, the dilemma of building
new homes in the countryside necessitates a nuanced approach to balance the
urgent demand for housing with the imperative to protect natural landscapes.
The pie charts below compare water usage in San Diego, California and the rest
of the world.

The maps depict water consumption in San Diego County, California and
Worldwide for three categories, namely residential, industial and agricultural
purposes.
Overall, it is notable that San Diego County and California collectively record the
higher statistics for residential and industrial usage, while agricultural usage
dominates the data across the globe.
Examining the first two maps, it is evident that San Diego County and California
share the parallel proclivity for utilizing water. Both collectively register highest
data for residential usage, with 60% and 39% respectively, while water distribution
for agricultural purpose records the lowest of the three categories, with only 17%
in San Diego County and 28% in California. As for industrial usage, a mere of
23% of water utilization recorded in San Diego County in comparison to 33% in
California.
In contrast, worldwide’s agriculture accounts for the lion’s share of water
distribution with approximately 69%. Accordingly, the data is followed by industry
and agriculture’ statistics respectively, with roughly 23% and 8%.
 Human activities have a negative effect on plant and animal species. Some
people think that it is too late to do anything. Some people think that we
should take effective action to improve the situation. Discuss both sides and
give your opinion?

too late: nh nơi đã bị ô nhiễm nặng -> k thể phục hồi; nhiều loài extinct kp
do human’s intervention

In the contemporary world, the impact of human activities on the eco-system has
ignited a contentious debate . While pessimists assert that the circumstance is
beyond remedy, optimists otherwise hold the stance that meaningful incentives can
improve the situation. The ongoing controversy implies that it is worth taking into
consideration both of these viewpoints.
On the one hand, those who believe it is too late for intervention cite the
undeniable reality that catastrophe effects of human being induce irreversible
damage to the environment. For example, in various areas adjacent to factories,
water and air are often heavily polluted, affecting the living environment of aerial
and aquatic species. Additionally, many believe that it is difficult to refresh the
condition in these areas, even when those factories are demolished. Therefore,
pollution is consistently a complicated problem although both scientists and
residents have increased their awareness of environmental issues. Besides, the
extinctions of numerous species are not the result of human’s intervention but by
environmental problems such as climate change. Thus, the possibility of making
significant improvements might appear unattainable.
On the other hand, effective measures can still be implemented to address the
issue. One potential solution is habitat restoration. Specifically, plants and animals
can have an opportunity to recover and thrive by creating protected areas or
rejuvenating damaged habitats. This approach has presented positive outcomes, for
example, breeding endangered species in carefully managed environments has
resulted in population recoveries. Additionally, community participation and
educational campaigns can cultivate a sense of responsibility toward the society.
Hence, it is posible to reduce the pollution and promote sustainable practices that
benefits plants and animals.
In summary, while some argue that it is too late to address the negative effect of
human being on biodiversity, I hold strong stance towards the potential
improvement from effective measures by governments and residents.
