1. This Question Paper has 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.
2. Section A has 20 MCQs carrying 1 mark each
3. Section B has 5 questions carrying 02 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 questions carrying 03 marks each.
5. Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each) with
sub parts of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Qs of 5 marks, 2
Qs of 3 marks and 2 Questions of 2 marks has been provided. An internal choice
has been provided in the 2marks questions of Section E
8. Draw neat figures wherever required. Take π =22/7 wherever required if not
stated.

21.Compute the value of 9x2 + 4y2 if xy = 6 and 3x + 2y = 12.


22.In the figure, lines AB and CD intersect at O. If ∠AOC + ∠BOE = 70° and ∠BOD = 40°, find ∠BOE and
reflex ∠COE.

In the Figure, lines XY and MN intersect at O. If ∠POY = 90° and a : b = 2 : 3, find c.

23.Find the sum of values of the polynomial 5x – 4x2 + 3 for x= 1 and-1

24.Write the coordinates of the vertices of a rectangle whose length and breadth are 5 and 3 units
respectively, one vertex at the origin, the longer side lies on the x-axis and one of the vertices lies in
the third quadrant.
25. If a point C lies between two points A and B such that AC = BC, then prove that AC =1/2 AB. Explain
by drawing the figure.

26. Calculate the perimeter of a rectangle whose area is 25x 2 – 35x + 12

29.ABCD is a quadrilateral in which AD = BC and ∠DAB = ∠CBA. Prove that

(i) ΔABD ≅ ΔBAC


(ii) BD = AC
(iii) ∠ABD = ∠BAC.

30. Find the value of x3 + y3 + z3 – 3xyz if x2 + y2 + z2 = 83 and x + y + z = 15

31.In figure , if AB II CD .If ∠ABR = 45O and ∠ROD = 105o , then find ∠ODC.

Section D (5 Marker)

32.The perimeter of triangle is 300 m . If its sides are in the ratio of 5 : 12 : 13 . Find the length of the
perpendicular from the opposite vertex to the side whose length is 130 cm.
Or
A rhombus-shaped field has green grass for 18 cows to graze. If each side of the rhombus is 30 m and
its longer diagonal is 48 m, how much area of grass field will each cow be getting?

33. Prove that :𝟏+𝒙𝒂−𝒃 + 𝟏+𝒙𝒃−𝒂 = 1

34. ΔABC and ΔDBC are two isosceles triangles on the same base BC and vertices A and D are on the
same side of BC (see the figure). If AD is extended to intersect BC at P, show that

(i) ΔABD ≅ ΔACD

(ii) ΔABP ≅ ΔACP

(iii) AP bisects ∠A as well as ∠D.

(iv) AP is the perpendicular bisector of BC.

35. Draw the graph of the equation x − y = 4

Answer the following using graph paper:


(i) Find the value of y, if x = 7 from the graph.
(ii) Write the coordinate of the point where the graph intersect on x − axis.

Section E (4 Marker)

36. Anil went to buy some vegetables, he bought ‘x’ kgs. of tomato
and ‘y’ kgs. of potato. The total cost of vegetables comes out to
be of Rs. 200. Now if the cost of 1 kg of tomato is Rs. 50 and 1 kg
of potato is Rs. 20, then answer the following questions.
(i) Represent the equation for total cost.

(ii) If Anil bought ‘x’ kgs of tomato and 2.5 kgs. of potato, then
find the value of ‘x’.
OR
If Anil bought ‘2’ kgs of tomato and ‘y’ kgs of potato, then find the value of ‘y’.

(iii) Find the point on the graph of 5x + 2y = 20 which cuts x-axis at the point.

37. The sides of a rectangular park are 80 m and 90 m respectively. A small triangular area of side 8m, 10m
and 6m respectively is to be left out at the four corners of the park for growing flowering plants. The
remaining area is be planted with natural grass.
Based on the given information answer the following questions :
(i)What is the area of the rectangular garden? (1 M)
(ii)What is the area not used for flowering? (2 M)
OR
Find the area used for growing flowering plants. (2M )
(iii).If the cost of planting the flowering plant is Rs 75.50 per 𝑚2 , then find the total cost of planting
the flowering plants. (1 M)

38. Saumya has to reach her office every day at 10:00 am. On the way to her office, she drops her son at
school. Now, the location of Saumya’s house, her son’s school and her office are represented by the
map below. Using the details given, answer the following questions.

(i)Find the coordinates of Saumya’s home , School and Office.


(ii) Find the distance between Saumya’s home and her son’s school
Or
Find the distance between Saumya’s office and her son’s school
(iii) Find the reflection of Saumya’s home,school and office along X
axis and along Y axis
