1 Manual installation of DAVIE4 certificate
1.1. Why to install Certificate manualy
In December 2016, the root certificate is updated and definition name is changed.

The effect is that DAVIE4 installer 4.11.5 - 16.49.3 cannot update the certificate, when the
certificate is renewed by the back office.

The work around to fix this for 4.11.5 – 16.49.3 version, we will explain in this manual.

From installer DAVIE4+ 5.3.3 – 17.05.3 this is fixed.

1.2. Preparation
The ePortal admin will download the latest certificate from ePortal and copy this to an USB
stick.

Also the password (email to ePortal ADMIN) for the certificate is copied to the USB stick.

Place USB stick in DAVIE4 pc.

Check the following conditions:


 You have Internet connection
 You need Windows Administrator rights

2 Check / install the certificate with Microsoft Management
Console (MMC)
2.1. Opening MMC
Open Windows “Start” button and type “mmc” (Microsoft Management Console).

Open the “MMC”.

With the “MMC” you can check / install the validity of the installed “ Certificate(‘s)” and
remove invalid Certificate(‘s)”.

 Click on “ File” to open the menu. (1)


 Click Add/Remove Snap-in…. (2)

 Select “Certificates” (1)
 Click “Add” (2)

 Select ”Computer account” (1)


 Click “Next”(2)

 Click “Finish” (1)
 Click “OK” (2)

3.3. Check / remove certificate (s)

Select “ Certificate (Local Computer)”  “Personal” ”Certificates”

Delete all certificates (select certificate and press delete button and click “OK”)
(b2b ; root ; rootca; etc.)

No Certificates anymore available.

3.4. Installing new B2B certificate

Click with right mouse on “Certificates” and next screen opens:

 Select “All Tasks” (1)


 Select “Import” (2)

3.5. Import Wizard

 click “Next”

 Click “Browse” (1)

 Select the USB stick with certificate (1)
 Open menu (2)
 Select All files (3)

 Select certificate (1)


 Click “Open” (2)

 Certificate is selected to import (1)
 Click “Next” (2)

Get password for next step:

 Open explorer
 Select USB stick with certificate password (1)
 Select password file (2)
 Open with Notepad (not Wordpad!) (3)
 Select the password and copy (3)

 Paste the password (1)
 Click “Next” (2)

 Select “Automaticaly select ……” (1)


 Click “Next” (2)

 Installed certificate and Automatically ……. Is shown (1)
 Click “Finish” (2)

 The import was successful


 Click “OK”

 Click F5 key to refresh the screen
 Imported certificate is shown (1)
 Select certificate and right click

 Select tab. “Certification Path” (1)


 Check there are no red crosses in the icons (2) – Picture 2: with red cross  error! (1)
 Certificate Status is OK (3)
 Click “OK” (4)
Click the close button in the top right corner to close the “Microsoft Management Console”.
Click on “No” when prompted to save settings.

The new certificate is installed.
