Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
iVMS-4200 Client software is a versatile security management software for DVRs,
NVRs, IP cameras, encoders, decoders, security control panels, video intercom
devices, access control devices, etc.
The software provides multiple functionalities including live view, video recording,
remote search and playback, file backup, alarm receiving, person management,
access control, video intercom, security control, time & attendance, etc., for the
connected devices to meet the needs of monitoring task. With the flexible
distributed structure and easy-to-use operations, the client software is widely
applied to the surveillance projects of medium or small scale.

Chapter 2 What’s New


2.1 Device Management

2.1.1 Added Feature


Supports adding door station (DS-KV8123-M) by ISUP account and performing
live view, playback, video intercom, and unlocking door remotely.

2.2 Live View

2.2.1 Added Feature


Thermal camera supports displaying waste gas information during live view.

2.3 E-Map

2.3.1 Added Features


1. Supports drawing false track area in radar’s detection area. When an object
enters the false track area, alarms will not be triggered, and the object's
moving pattern will not be uploaded to the client. This function is
applicable for places with plenty of disturbing factors (such as trees) that
may cause wrong alarms.
2. On the Smart Linkage Settings panel, added terrain learning function. By
terrain learning, the radar can get the terrain of its detection area and
make more accurate smart linkage.

Added waste gas alarm.

Added 1 VS1 face comparison function, by which you can know the similarity of
two person faces.

Supports downloading searched video files.

2.7 Person

When filtering person, supports reading a person’s card by a card reader to get
the card No.

2.8 Time and Attendance

2.8.1 Updated Features


1. On the work time configuration page, added the Calculate Break Time into
Attended Duration switch. When this function is enabled, break time will
be calculated into the overall attendance duration. That is, the actual
attendance duration equals to the overall attendance duration (includes
break time)͘.
2. On the Setting Department Schedule page and the Setting Person Schedule
page, added Flexible Shift Schedule on Weekend. If you check this, the
person's attendance on the weekend will be recorded as overtime.

2.9 Topology

2.9.1 Updated Feature


On the Topology page, added sub-menus under the Refresh icon, including
Refresh and Get Topology Again.

2.10 System Configuration

On the image parameter configuration page, added D3D9 and D3D11 as new
hardware decoding modes. The PC should support this function.

Added live view port, live view port of video intercom, two-way audio port,

Chapter 3 Resolved Issues


The following are issues resolved in this version.

No. Issue Description

Users cannot reset the passwords of their own accounts. We optimized

the permission logic and this problem can be avoided.

The client may overwrite event/alarm pictures that are not the oldest
2 ones. We optimized the sequence of picture overwriting and the picture
overwriting will start from the oldest one.

Fixed the issue that RS-485 parameters are missing on the remote

configuration page of turnstile.

4 Fixed the issue that leave information is missing on the attendance report.

Fixed the issue that applying changes to device failed after batch

importing face pictures.

Fixed the issue that after changing device’s output mode, the configured

RS-485 parameter turn to 0.
