Healthy Food:
Fruits and
Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are essential for a healthy diet. They are rich in
vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. These nutrients help
strengthen the immune system, prevent chronic diseases and control
weight. Some of them are:

-Apples, pears, watermelons, bananas, etc.

-Carrot, broccoli, spinach, and tomato, etc.

Healthy Food:
Whole Grains
Whole grains are an excellent source of fiber, vitamins and minerals.
They are essential for maintaining healthy digestion, weight
management and providing sustainable energy.

Some examples of whole grains include brown rice, quinoa, oats,

barley, and whole wheat. Opt for these grains instead of their refined
versions to enjoy all their benefits.
Healthy Food: Lean
Proteins
Lean proteins are essential for health. They are important for muscle
growth and development, the production of enzymes and hormones,
and the maintenance of the immune system.

Some examples of lean proteins include chicken, fish, turkey, beans,

lentils, and tofu. When choosing protein, opt for lean options to
minimize saturated fat intake.
Junk Food:
Processed Foods
Processed foods are those that have been modified from their natural
state through processes such as packaging, pasteurization, freezing, or
the addition of artificial ingredients. These foods are often high in trans
fats, sugar, salt, and preservatives, making them an unhealthy option.

Examples: French fries, cookies, soft drinks, sausages, and sugary

cereals
Junk Food: Fast
Food
Fast food is a popular choice, but it is high in fat, salt and sugar.
Hamburgers, pizzas and fries contain few vitamins and minerals.

Consuming it frequently increases the risk of diseases such as obesity,

diabetes and heart disease.

Examples: Burgers, pizzas, tacos, hot dogs and chicken nuggets.

Junk Food: Sugary
Drinks
Sugary drinks such as soda, processed fruit juices, and energy drinks
are a major source of added sugar.

Excessive consumption of added sugar is linked to an increased risk of

obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and tooth decay.

Examples: Soft drinks, packaged fruit juices, energy drinks, bottled

teas, and milkshakes.
