of other components.

2. Soil shape
3. Size of its particles
4. Water-absorbing capacity of soil.

5. Which soil is suitable for which crops?

Ans: According to soil characteristics, different crops grow well in
different soils For example -
Clay Soil: Beans, Jackfruit.
Sandy soil:- Watermelon, cucumber.
Loamy soil : Paddy, Jute, sugarcane.

clay soil becomes soft, and when dry it becomes hard in texture.

2. Which soil has more or less water absorbing capacity?.

Ans: Different types of soil have different water-absorbing capacity. The
water absorbing capacity of sandy soil is very low. Clay soil has the highest
water absorbing capacity. The water absorbing capacity of loamy soil is
lower than the clay soil but higher than that of sandy soil.

3. Why soil is important in our life?
