Child Sexual Exploitation genuinely a worldwide problem defying by stereotypes and

myths with endless limits and seems to be increasing day by day. Child Sexual Exploitation can

be presented in various ways. Globalization and modern technology add the risk of exploitation

and abuse but may provide lower areas to strengthen activists' response against child sexual

exploitation. Child sexual exploitation comes with several dangers with adverse health and

psychosocial outcomes. Abusers are exploiting the children and irrevocably interfering with the

victims' psychological and emotional development (Sexual Abuse).

A common misconception about child sexual abuse (CSA) is that it is a delicate and rare

event against girls by a male in inner-city areas and small communities. Child sexual exploitation

is equally present among the boys and girls in small and large cities and communities across the

range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Children are assaulted and abused by many

abusers and offenders, from strangers, men, and women to trusted family and friends people of

all socioeconomic classes, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds.

Child sexual exploitation is not limited to physical contact but also has some non-contact

abuse categories, such as voyeurism, exposure, and trading child pornography. About 5 to 15 %

of the child is observed with genital injuries, and the vast majority of the predators do not have

evidence of penetration.

A victim of exploitation can develop a feeling of being worthless and low self-esteem.

The children not living with their actual parents and are residents of the homes assigned due to

The child rescue coalition provides the information of abusers to law enforcement

agencies without any cost to arrest and prosecute the child abusers. The action of the child rescue

coalition will prevent the predator child from facing testifying trauma in court. Furthermore, the

child rescue coalition teamed up with Terri, a Florida mother, signed a petition to ban the child

Research in the Journal of Adolescent Health demonstrated that young boys who are

abused sexually one time in their life could increase teen pregnancy. Having multiple sex

partners increases three times, and the risk of unprotected sex increases twice. Predator of sexual

For the Protection of children from abuse and violence, National Strategy for Child

Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction presents an innovative way for the government and its

partners to address child abuse in the U.S.

ICAC program (Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program), established in

1998, helps law enforcement agencies and the federal government develop the technology to

prevent internet crimes on sexual exploitation. This assistance encompasses the victim services,

training, technical assistance, investigating and forensic component, and public/community

education. The ICAC program ambassador of 4500 federal states and with the aid of 61

coordinated task forces and prosecutorial agencies are engaged in criminal prosecutions, forensic

investigations, and active and proactive investigations.

ICAC program had tracked and arrested over 9100 abusers by 84700 forensic tests and

71,200 investigations. Additionally, the ICAC program had trained 2900 prosecutors, over 46500

law enforcement officers, and above 14300 professional workers.

Transportation of females from one state to another and prostitution was the main target

of the White Slave Trafficking Act or Mann act. In 1978 White Slave Trafficking Act was

In the light of the Mann act, doctors were more likely to check the sexually assaulted

children and notify the agencies related to law enforcement. Revised Mann act was a massive

advantage for the minorities from being exploited sexually. In 1980 due to an amendment in the

Mann act, child pornographers became haunted and isolated people and nearly extinct in

America due to a series of campaigns. Nevertheless, with the emergence of technologies in the

1990's the problem again started to rise. Due to an amendment in 1994, the Mann act covered the

Law Enforcement Act and Violent Crime Bill, instated in 1994, included the laws to

combat child sexual abuse. A 13-14 year child is being exploited and becomes the victim of

abuse. The presence of child sexual abuse is everywhere, either it is middle class or

impoverished communities. About 300000 children are at exploitation risk in the U.S. (Child

Sexual Abuse Statistics).

Technology usually leads to law enforcement when it comes to the sexual exploitation of

children. The problem is growing continuously with every passing moment. 9.2% of the children

were sexually exploited, according to The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in

2010. According to the study of Crimes Against Children Research Center, 1 in 20 boys and 1 in

5 girls are the victims of sexual exploitation. About 5-10 percent of males and 20% of females

can recall the incident of sexual exploitation in their adulthood (Child Sexual Abuse Statistics).

About 16% of adults in the age of 14-16 were sexually exploited in one year in the U.S.

Treatment of sexually assaulted children is multifaceted and usually demands a biopsychosocial

approach—Childrens with their case managers or caretakers usually received treatment

depending on the extent of genital injuries. The case manager connects the family and their

Identification of abusers selling online child pornography should be prevented by strict

law enforcement. This objective can be approached by halting data sharing and collaboration on

the internet.

With data science and engineering help, the technologies are combating child sexual

abuse (Sexual Abuse). Technology can accelerate the identification of child sexual assaulters by

empowering the public and equipping platforms.

When it comes to educating the public about child sexual exploitation, media is the first

platform to consider. However, media represents sexual offenders creating a sense of fear by

perpetuating misinformation and reinforcing stereotypes. Typical sexual exploitation that is not

violent or sensational become more horrifying and devastating by media coverage. The media is

the leading platform for changing the major societal epidemic's production from atypical sexual

exploitation.

The media had to play its role in conveying the correct information regarding offenders

and abusers. At rehabilitation, offenders are punished harshly in the U.S. The research

demonstrated that dispelling the myths about sexual exploitation and educating the public may

lead to more rational legislation and law enforcement.

Sex education should not only for the children but also for the parents who are failed to

communicate with their children properly. Understanding sexual exploitation by the public and

media should be changed through proper education for significant results.

policies and financial security as sexual exploitation is the central issue in middle-class families.

To educate the public about sexual abuse, law enforcement agencies must take strict actions and

engage the public through campaigns.

Increased family engagement and child care can be a significant halt for offenders to

reach children. The public can prevent children's sexual exploitation by ensuring stable, safe,

nurturing environments for introverted children. Improving data collection and surveillance

systems for assessing child sexual abuse can help establish a safe environment for every kid.

The check and balance relating to cybercrime can decrease the sexual exploitation of the

The development of new programs and policies based on evidence can strengthen the

prevention of child sexual exploitation. Media, the public, and the government had to play their

role in society in which many children every minute is being assaulted and sexually abused.

More resources should be built, evaluated, and implemented based on primary prevention

strategies for the children in a flourishing environment.

Child sexual exploitation and abuse are putting the lives of hundred of children at risk.

Therefore the U.S. government must have to take immediate steps to realize that child protection

nature of sexual assaulting, which is not limited to physical touch. The U.S. government must

strengthen the organization and agencies working for child protection by giving them economic

support and introducing them to law enforcement agencies (Sexual Abuse).

One of the significant causes of sexual exploitation is technology, but it can also be its

solution. Technology can play a significant role in solving the problem related to the sexual

exploitation of children. The government's main objective should promote the notion that

preventing child sexual exploitation is everyone's responsibility. Every person at its level can

stop child sexual abuse by reporting the content showing child pornography. Several agencies

with their team members are active in ending online child sexual exploitation by focusing on

technology.
