Glossary TBI-2B & 2C

Aging : the process of growing old.

Average : The number that comprise the data set

Anticarcinogenic : relating to preventing or delaying the development of cancer.

Antioxidant : natural substances that may prevent or delay some types of cell
damage.

Appetizers : a small dish food or drink that stimulates the appetite and is usually
served before a meal.

Advantage : A condition or circumstance that puts one in a favorable or superior


position.

Activity : An activity or activity that someone does.

Achievement : namely a process or a way to reach a goal that has not been achieved
before.

Arranged : is a word or item that is arranged according to its place

Adolescent : The process of developing from a child into an adult.

Appearances : a Sense Impression or aspect of a thing.

Asset : items or resources owned by a person, business, or government, as


cash, notes and accounts receivable, securities, inventories, goodwill, fixtures, machinery, or
real estate.

Attorney : a person appointed to act for another in business or legal matters,

Avaricious : having or showing an extreme greed for wealth or material gain.

Accreditation : The action or process of officially recognizing someone as having a
particular status or being qualified to perform a particular activity.

Arena : The phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants,


animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or
human creations.

Asset : (Conventional definition) A negotiable item, security, promissory


note, or similar thing that can be sold or exchanged for money.

Astonishing : extremely surprising or impressive; amazing

Analogy : a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of


explanation or clarification

Abundance : blessed (given) a lot; a large amount of something.

Ambiguity : something that does not have a single clear meaning: something that
is ambiguous.

Attitude : the way you think and feel about someone or something; a feeling or
way of thinking that affects a person's behavior.

Author : a person who generates ideas or ideas for a work.

Adjective : A word used to describe a noun and comes before the noun.

Adverb : A word that explain the meaning of verbs, adjective, and other
adverbs that fuction as explanation for an action, the event that occurred, and where the event
was carried out

Assumption : Something that you assume to be the case, even without proof.

Acrylic paint : a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer


emulsion and plasticizers, silicone oils, defoamers, stabilizers, or metal soaps

Advice : guidance or recommendations offered with regard to prudent future


action

Affordability : the state of being cheap enough for people to be able to buy

Anxiety : feeling worry, or unease about something with a uncertain outcome

Apostrophe : punctuation marks (') which are used to identify a noun in making
possessive sentences or it can also indicate the removal of one or more letters from a word in
a sentence

Approval : the action of approving something.

Argument : an exchange of diverging or opposite views

Assignment : a piece of work given to someone, typically as part of their studies or


job

Attention : notice taken of someone or something

Author : the person who originated or gave existence to anything' and whose
authorship determines responsibility for what was created

Anxiety : is a feeling that arises due to a person’s worries in carrying out daily
activities

Analogy : a comparison between things that have similar features, often used to
help explain a principle or idea

Artificial : made by people, often as a copy of something natural

Ability : to do something the fact that someone or something is able to do


something.

Absorbed : absorption of radiation in a medium on earth.

Accuracy : the ability to do something without making mistakes.

Acknowledge : accept,admit, or recognize something, or the truth or existence of something.

Actionable : something that one intends to take action on.

Acquantied : knowing or being familiar with someone or something.

Adulthood : the state or condition of being fully grown or mature.

Affable : friendly and easy to talk.

Aging : the process whe people grow old

Allude : suggest or call attention to indirectly: hint at.

Alteration : to make something stronger or more effective, or to become stronger or more


effective.

Altitude : the vertical height of an object above the surface (such as sea or land level)
of planet or natural satellite.

Amygdala : one of two parts of the brain that affect how people feel emotions especially
fear and pleasure

Analyze : examine or investigate events and the direction of propagation are parallel.

Ancestors : a person, typically one more remote than a grandparent, from whom one is
descended.

Antibodies : part of the immune that protect our body from bacteria,viruses, and other
diseases.
Anxiety : a feeling of fear, dread, panic, that may occur as a reaction to stress.

Arrogant : unpleasantly proud and behaving as if you are more important than, or know
more than, other people.

Asset : a person or thing that is valuable or useful to somebody/something.

Atmosphere : an atmosphere is made of the layers of gases surrounding a planet.

Attainable : possible to achieve.

Attention : the ability to actively process specific information in the environment while
tuning out other details.

Benefits : something that produces good or helpful results.

Bussiness : a person's regular occupation, profession or trade.

Broadest : wide.

Band-Aid : is a small piece of sticky tape that you use to cover small cuts or
wounds on your body

Books : a collection of sheets written

Bloat : To make the point that something is more than just flat/large

Bookstore : a store where books are sold

Beige : a pale sandy yellowish-brown color.


Balance sheet : The lower part of an income -statement diagram. Supposed to balance
assets against liabilities.
Bond : A debt security in which the authorized issuer owes the holders a debt
and is obliged to repay the principal and interest at a later date, termed maturity.

Basis : The underlying reason or assumption.

Bonds : An agreement between parties involving laters

Beneficial : favorable or advantageous; resulting in good


Benefit : an advantage or profit gained from something

Bento : a Japanese lunchbox

Behavior : the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward
others

Bind : tie or fasten (something) tightly, another term for tie

Bonds : an agreement between parties involving letters

Bore : make somebody feel tired and uninterested

Burdens : responsibility or duty that causes worry or is hard to deal

Bushido : the moral code and way of life of the samurai

Brainstorming : a way or technique of collecting ideas or ideas to find a solution to a


problem

Books : a collection of papers or sheets written or containing writing


Biblioholic : a book lover, book enthusiast and bookworm

Business : an organization that sells goods or services to consumers, for a profit


Behavior : a series of actions performed by an individual, organism, system or
artificial entity in relation to itself or its environment, which includes other systems or
organisms in its vicinity as well as the physical environment

Bagel bread : type of bread shaped like a palm-sized ring, made from a dough of
wheat flour and yeast that is boiled in water before baking

Beholder : a person who sees or looks at someone or something

Blood : fluid found in all living things that functions to deliver substances and
oxygen needed by body tissues, transport chemicals produced by metabolism, and also as the
body’s defense against viruses or bacteria

Barrier : something that holds back.

Behavior : the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward others.
Belief : a strong feeling that something/somebody exists or is true; confidence that
something/somebody is good or right.

Bemoan : to complain or express sadness about something.

Blacksmith : a person who makes and repairs things in iron by hand.

Bond : an insurance policy held by a company, which protects aginst loses resulting from
circumstances such as bankruptcy or misconduct by employees.

Boredom : the state of feeling bored. A condition characterized by perception of one's


environment as dull, tedious, and lacking in stimulation.

Brainstorming : an activity or business method in which people meet in a group to


suggest a lot of new ideas to choose from possible development.

Broad : including a wide range of things; general.

Burden : someone or something that is very difficult to accept, or deal with

Cells : the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism in the


human body.

Cognition : the activities of thinking, understanding, learning, remembering, or


become aware of something through the senses.

Concretize : make (an idea or concept) real; give specific or definite form.

Conspecific : of the same species

Crucially : with decisive or vital importance.

Characteristic : typical of a person, thing, or group: showing the special qualities or


traits of a person, thing, or group.

Counselor : A person trained to give guidance on personal, social, or


psychological problems.

Composite : made of different parts or elements.

Creativity : the ability to make new things or think of new ideas


Calories : a measurement of the energy content of food.

Cardiologist : a doctor who specializes in the study or treatment of heart diseases


and heart abnormalities.

Contract : an agreement between two or more parties that is enforceable by law


and involves a promise to do or not do something

Cancer : a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control
and can invade nearby tissues.

Cardiovascular : relating to the heart and blood vessels.

Compound : A mixture two or more things

Conservation : Agenda to keep something from running out

Colleagues : A person with whom one works in a profession or business.

Collaboration : The action of working with someone to produce or create something.

Content : Process of making creating and sharing in a video that attract and
convert prospects into customer, and customers into repeat buyers.

Communities : A group of people living together in one place, especially one


practicing common ownership.

Creative : Creating new value by creating new customer’s needs.

Curation : Is the assembly, selection, categorization, commentary, and


presentation of relevant content.

Customer : Individuals or organizations who have actively made a purchase from


store or business

Count : To check over (the separate units or groups of a collection) one by


one to determine the total number, add up, enumerate.

Choice : To select from a number of possibilities; pick by preference.

Circumstance : condition.

Conceive : understand.
Contagious : spread from one person or organism to another by direct or indirect
contact. Courageous : not deterred by danger or pain; brave.

trust.

Cash flow : The proportion of income (cash in) to spending (cash out). A positive
cash flow occurs when income exceeds spending. A negative cash flow occurs when
spending exceeds income.

Concrete Noun : Tangible nouns (can be seen, felt, and touched directly).

Common Noun : Nouns we can find in everyday life.

Collective Noun : Nouns that show a group of people or things.

Countable Noun : Nouns that we can count.


Common Gender : Nouns that can be either male of fimale.

Conjuction : A word that connects two or more sentences to form one sentence

Central : An important, crucial part of something.

Cognitive : The growth in his or her ability to think and solve problems.

Control : To have the power to run something in an orderly way.

Creative : The ability to develop new ideas and find new ways to see problems
as opportunities.

Confidential : Something to hide

Capacity : the maximum amount that something can contain.

Caring : displaying kindness and concern for others

Centenarian : a person who is one hundred or more years old

Chance : a possibility of something happening

Chapter : a main division of a book, typically with a number or title

Chore : a routine task, especially a household one

Clarity : the quality of being coherent and intelligible.

Classroom : a room in a school or college where groups of students are taught

Climate : the general development of a situation, or the situation, feelings, and


opinions that exist at a particular time

Communicate : to share information with others by speaking, writing, moving your


body, or using other signals

Complain : say that you are dissatisfied or unhappy about something/someone

Conflict : an active disagreement between people with opposing opinions or


principles

Cancer : a group of diseases in which cells in the body change and grow out of
control; abnormal cells that invade any part of the body

ability of an item to produce something

Convection : the process by which heat is transferred by the movement of a heated liquid
such as air or water.

Coriolis effect : a force on the rotation of the earth that bends the direction of ocean
currents.

Cortisol : a hormone (chemical made in the body) that is used in medicine to treat parts
of the body that are swollen and painful.

Cope : to deal succesfully with something difficult.

Cynical : believing that people are motivated purely by self-interest; distrustful human

Diet : eating healthy and lower calorie meals.

Definition : is a sentence tha texpresses the meaning, description, or main


characteristics of people, objects, processes, and activities.

Down : is a word that expresses being drowned, and sadness.

Develop : to gradually grow or become bigger, more advanced, stronger, etc.; to make
something do this.

Dexterity : the ability to perform a difficult action quickly and skillfully with hands.

Dimention : a measurable extent of some kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height.

Disorder : a state of untidiness or lack of organization.

Distinction : a difference or contrast between similar things or people.

Distraction : a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else.

DNA : the molecule that makes up an organism that is passed down from child to parent.

Dysthymia : a form of depression (a mental illness causing feelings of unhappiness) that
lasts for several years and but is less severe than other forms of depression

Employees : A person working for another person or a business firm for pay.

Entangled : Involve someone in difficult or complicated circumstances from


which it is difficult to escape.

Enthusiasm : Is the word motivation as the strength (energy) of someone who can
raise the level of persistence and enthusiasm in carrying out an activity

Engagement : An effect, a reaction, a connection, a response or an experience of


customers with each other, with a company or with a brand.

Established : Having been in existence for a long time and therefore recognized
and generally accepted.

Experience : Practical contact with and observation or facts or even.

Escape : an action to distance yourself from bad things, looking for comfort

Emotional : an intense feeling directed at someone or something; A reaction to a


person or event

Epidemiology : a branch of medicine which deals largely with public health,


including the incidence, distribution, analysis, and control of diseases

Extraordinary : something amazing

Experience : something that has been felt which is then stored in memory

Easy : does not require a lot of energy or thought in doing; not difficult

Extent : coverage is covering or comprehensive

Elaboration : the process of developing or presenting a theory, policy, or system in


further detail

Enormously : extremely or very much

Essence : a strong liquid, usually from a plant or flower, that is used to add a
flavour or smell to something

Eminent : famous, respected, or important

Eczema : a skin condition in which areas of the skin become red, rough, and sore and
make you want ro rub them.

Edit : to make changes to a text or film, deciding what will be removed and what will be
kept in, in order to prepare it for being printed or shown.

Emitted : emit means to release or discharge something such as gas, liquid, heat,
sound, light, or radiation. the process of emitting is called emission.

Emotional : relating to a person's emotions. arousing or characterized by intense feeling.

Encapsulated : to express or show the most important facts about something.

Encourage : give support, confidence, or hope to (someone).

Energy : energy is from an object that can interact and cannot be destroyed.

Environment : something that surrounds an organism.


Equator : is an imaginary line drawn in the middle of the planet between the two poles
and parallel to the planet's axis of rotation.

Evolution : a gradual process of change and development.

Examination : the act of looking at or considering something carefully on order to discover.

Expeditions : a journey or voyage undertaken by a group of people with a particular


purpose, especially that of exploration, scientific research, or war.

Experience : something we have done.

Exploratory : done in order to discover more about something

Fasting : abstinence from food or drink or both for health, ritualistic, religious,
or ethical purposes.

Frugality : Prudence in avoiding waste

Feedback : The outputs of a service or product, to create a better product or


workplace.

Fabricated : Invent or concoct something with deceitful intent

Fundamentals : The description of the main principles of marketing and basic of


discipline for its most common application, especially in the areas of consumer marketing.

options.

existence.
