GUIDELINES AND INFORMATION

1. The Intramurals will be on October 15-18, 2024 (7:30am to 12:00nn)


Pre- Activities-
- October 15, 2024 (7:30am-12:00) – Elimination round of ball games and athletics,
- October 16-17, 2024 (7:30am-12:00) – Continuation of Games
- October 18, 2024 (7:30am-12:00nn) – Bleacher Cheer, Dance Sport, Mr. and Ms. INTRAMS,
and Closing program
- All athletes, coaches, officials, officiating officials, teachers and students are encouraged to attend
all the activities.

2. The 30 sections will be classified as Unit I, Unit II, Unit III and Unit IV. Every unit has an Athletic
Manger, Chairman and its members. The members include the teaching and non-teaching staff.

3. The overall result will be based from the Major and Minor events. The major events are the 3 team events
basketball, volleyball and Bleacher Cheer, individual events are Athletics; Damath; Sci-Damath;
Scrabble; Chess; Dance Sport; Ambassador and Ambassadress of Fitness. Minor events are the following
events: Laro ng Lahi and Paralympics;
4. A student can play 1 ball event and athletics.

5. All sports competitions shall be conducted in accordance with the international rules and regulations.
However, ground rules shall be prescribed if and when necessitated by local conditions, provided that
these rules are agreed upon by the coaches of the teams and the technical officials concerned.

6. Protest on technicalities shall be addressed to the Tournament Manager who, in consultation with the
Athletic/Unit Manager and the Over-all Athletic Manager shall resolve the issue at their own level within
two hours upon received of the written protest. Protest should be in writing with details and evidences.

7. A student must submit medical clearance from the school nurse that he/she is physically fit and/or must
submit parental consent allowing him/her to participate in sports events.

8. Officiating officials must report at least 30 minutes before the match to check on the readiness of the
facilities and equipment.

9. Parental consent is required to the all students.

10. Cleanliness and orderliness of tournaments shall always be observed.

PROTEST
A jury of appeal shall be composed of the department heads with the Administrative Officer as
chairman. Its decision shall be final and non-appealable.
Protest/s must be in writing, signed by the Coach and/or Team Captain and filed within 24 hours
from the time of the object of protest.

DEFAULTS
1. A team without the required number of players on the play court or field, 15 minutes after the scheduled
time shall lose by default.
2. A team that refuses to play, or walk out shall lose by forfeit.
3. Players not in designated unit color shall not be allowed to play.
4. No play, no point, default means no point.
5. Any form of unsportsmanlike behavior shall be cause for a player to be thrown out of an event. A second
similar behavior shall cause the suspension of the player from participating in other events of the
intramurals
