A Tool Belt you can move in!

Side View Back View Side View

DESCRIPTION
The Split Tool Belt is ideal for movement. Comes
standard with three large elasticized pockets on
each ‘apron’ that can be customized to fit your
needs. Optional Pocket Flap. Casing along the top to
accommodate different belt styles. It’s easy to make
this fit multiple sizes since the belt is separate and
the aprons can slide along it.

There is a video providing instructions with sewing

options:
With Binding finish or No binding (clean finished with
a second layer)
Fabric Belt (with or without buckle)
Two different ways to attach the belt casing to
accommodate sewing styles
You can modify the size of the apron by adding/subtracting to the fold line with an amount
parallel to both pieces and adjust the Waist casing and Pocket divisions.

MATERIALS
Medium and heavy weight fabrics work
best. For outdoor or heavy duty use, try
using canvas or denim for the base. You will
need a lighter fabric than canvas to get the
elastic to gather the top edge. Instructions are
provided in the video for a casing for the
elastic instead of overlocking and hemming it
as an alternative.

You'll also need some binding, a buckle for

1"/2.54 cm Fabric Belt with NO Buckle (tie closure):

Length: high hip measurement + 26"/66 cm
Height: 4"/10 cm wide
Since the Tie Belt option was not tested, I would recommend using this narrower finished
width so it is easier to tie. You can cut down the height of the Casings to 3.75"/9.5 cm.

If you need to piece your belt together, use 45 degree angles. It will create an even
thickness. I highly recommend this method!

SEWING 1/4” OR 6.35 MM SEAM ALLOWANCE INCLUDED

These steps are to be used in conjunction with the YouTube video linked
in the product description. This is a basic order of operations.

1. Prepare Pockets by overlocking elastic to top edge. (make a note of your pocket
divisions.) Turn and topstitch elastic down.
2. Gather the along bottom edge of the Pockets just past where the curved corners
begin. From 'corner' to 'corner'.
3. Fit the Pockets on to each Apron Base. Add your Pocket Divisions. If you want a
flap, now is a good time just in case you need to add a closure to the pocket before
it's stitched down.
4. Bind the curved perimeter edge of the Apron Base and Pockets together. Repeat
for other Apron/Pocket combo. There is a no-binding method in the video.
5. Prepare the Casing by hemming each end 3/4"/19 mm. Choose the method from
the video you prefer and attach each casing to your tool belts.
6. Belt: Prepare your belt, attach the buckle if using, and thread through your casing.
