Sample Type: EDTA Whole Blood

Interpretation:
1. This report only confirms the Cell grouping of the patient; serum grouping is not performed at our laboratory
2. This report is valid only for the sample received
3. After incubation at 37 degree C for the purpose of confirmation
4. This test does not rule out the possibility of the presence of rare blood group types, ambiguous results such as different blood group
typing at different laboratories with different antisera and such cases require further testing at a specialized laboratory.
5. It is advisable to perform serum (reverse) grouping in the cases of negative blood groups.
6. Kindly consult the laboratory personnel for further workup in cases of Rh(D) NEGATIVE Blood groups
7. This blood group report has not been intended for blood transfusion blood group should have been rechecked.

HBsAg Non Reactive Non Reactive

Sample Type: Serum
SampleType: Serum
This is primary screening ICT method for detection of HEPATITIS B surface antigen ; HBsAg ; in given serum sample. This method has low sensitivity & specificity as
compared to other methods e.g. ELISA / CLIA / eCLIA / CMIA/ PCR etc.
so,if given serum sample contains HBsAg below the level of lower detection limit of ICT method ; test kit may not detect presence of HBsAg in given sample.
so, all negative test result by ICT method with high clinical suspicion of positivity; high positive predictive value on clinical ground; e.g patient with repeated
dialysis, patients with repeated blood transfusion , patient with definit exposure with infectious agent etc. must be retested by method with high sensitivity e.g.
ELISA / CLIA / eCLIA / CMIA/ PCR etc. to rule out FALSE NEGATIVE test result by ICT method.
All positive test result must be rechecked by method with high specificity e.g. ELISA / CLIA / eCLIA / CMIA and PCR to rule out FALSE POSITIVE test result by ICT
method with possible cross reactivity.

Hepatitic C Virus (HCV) Antibody Test Non-Reactive Non Reactive

Sample Type: Serum
Remarks: Simple/Rapid tests are designed for use as a preliminary screening test result, which may effect patient treatment strategies. The sensitivity and
specificity of the rapid tests are low when compared to ELISA tests. Hence, advised to confirm the rapid test result with an ELISA methodology test or any other
confirmatory test as per the diagnosis.

Interpretation:

- The HCV Antibodies assay is a screening test used for qualitative detection of antibodies to Hepatitis C Virus infection in human serum or plasma.

- The test result should be correlated clinically and in relation with other diagnostic markers for HCV infection.

- A negative test does not exclude the possibility of exposure to or infection with HCV virus.

- Patients with auto-immune liver disease may show falsely reactive results.

-The test has a Sensitivity of 100% and Specificity of 99.63%.

Limitations of the test:

1) Heterophile antibodies in human serum can react with reagent immunoglobulins, interfering with in-vitro immunoassays.
2) Patients routinely exposed to animals or animal serum products can be prone to this interference.

Sample Type : Serum
