The Snipping Tool is a built-in application in Windows that allows users to capture screenshots with precision
and flexibility. This task will familiarize students with the Snipping Tool interface and guide them through the
steps to take screenshots of selected regions on their screens.
Press the Windows key to open the Start menu.
Type "Snipping Tool" in the search bar and select the application from the results.

Image Conversion
JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) and PNG (Portable Network Graphics) are two common image
formats, and their differences lie primarily in how they handle compression and transparency.
JPEG Compression: JPG uses a "lossy" compression method, which means that some data is discarded during
compression to reduce file size. This compression is suitable for photographs and images with smooth color
transitions.JPEG Transparency: JPG doesn't support transparency; it has a solid, opaque background. It is best
suited for images where a background is not needed or can be a single color.PNG Compression: PNG uses a
"lossless" compression method, retaining all image data during compression. This results in higher quality but
larger file sizes. PNG is ideal for images with sharp edges, text, or graphics.
PNG Transparency: PNG supports transparency, allowing parts of the image to be completely see-through.
This is useful for logos or images where you want to overlay one image onto another without a solid
background.
Converting from JPG to PNG:
Open the image in Microsoft Paint or any image editor.
Click on "File" and choose "Save As."
Select PNG as the file format and save the file.
Converting from PNG to JPG:
Open the PNG image in an image editor.
Click on "File" and choose "Save As."
Select JPG as the file format and save the file. Note: Some image editors may ask for compression
settings during this process.
DPI:
DPI represents the resolution of an image, indicating how many dots of ink or pixels are present per inch.
Higher DPI results in better image quality, which is crucial for detailed prints or professional graphics.
For online use, a lower DPI is acceptable as it reduces file size without sacrificing much quality.
Compression is crucial for managing file sizes, especially when sharing or displaying images online.

In JPG, higher compression can significantly reduce file size but may introduce artifacts or loss of detail.
PNG's lossless compression preserves all details but results in larger file sizes compared to high compression

Search Functionality:
Open your email client and go to the search bar.
Use the TO: field to find emails sent to a specific person or address.
Use the FROM: field to find emails from a specific sender.
Try searching for emails with attachments using the "has: attachment" keyword.
Search for emails with a specific file type or size using appropriate keywords.
Use date-based queries to find emails within a particular timeframe.
CC and BCC Usage:
Compose a new email and add recipients to the TO: and CC: fields.
Explain the purpose of CC (keeping others informed) and BCC (keeping recipients hidden).
Send a test email to demonstrate how CC and BCC recipients receive the message.
Common Email Acronyms:
FYI (For Your Information): Used to share information without requiring a response.
FNA (For Necessary Action): Indicates that the recipient needs to take action based on the
information provided.
PFA (Please Find Attached): Notifies the recipient that there is an attachment included with the email.
RE (Regarding): Often used in the subject line to indicate the topic or subject of the email.
