DEMIG

Input: The SEGY file from PSTM and rms velocity field from RMSVEL.

Output: Unmigrated zero-offset wavefield.

The output from DEMIG is input to VELMOD to perform poststack depth migration.

Functionalities: Unmigrate (demigrate) the resulting image from prestack time migration using the same
rms velocity field as for prestack time migration. The demigrated section is a representation of a zero-
offset wavefield; as such, it is the appropriate input to poststack depth migration (VELMOD) compared to
the conventional stack, which is only an approximate representation of a zero-offset section.

DEMIG for PSTM Click on DEMIG in the ThrustLine workflow session manager to
open the DEMIG window as shown below. Click on the From
Time Image radio button if the input is from PSTM.

DEMIG for PSDM Click on DEMIG in the ThrustLine workflow session manager to
open the DEMIG window as shown below. Click on the From
Depth Image radio button if the input is from PSDM.

open the DEMIG window as shown below. Click on
DEMIG For VTCUBE
theDemigrate VTCUBE Imageradio button if the input is from

VTCUBE. Currently it will allow you to use multiple cores on the
machine you started the software on.

Click on the File pull-down menu, then, click on Load Parameters


DEMIG parameters to pop up the dialog box shown below. You can load the DEMIG
parameters associated with a previous run.

During the DEMIG run, or thereafter, you can click on the File pull-down menu, then click on Dısplay
SEGY to display the zero-offset section from DEMIG as shown below.
