    Question 2:

    Most countries apply to be the host of an international sporting competition,


    such as the Olympics, but only one is ever chosen. What are the benefits for a
    country of hosting an international sports competition? Do you think the
    advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

    Answer:

    Majority of the nations want to host global sport event, for example Olympics,
    but olny one can be selected. In my opinion, the advantages outweigh the
    disadvantages, and i will discuess the reasons in the following paragraphs.

    Talking about the disadvantages of hosting a world class sport competition,


    one significant drawback is that aranging such event will be stressful for the
    nation's economic, since it usually cost a lot of money. New stadiums,
    accommodations for the attending athletes and the public transportation for
    incoming audiences need to be build. However, chances also come with the
    challenges, this is great chance to advertise the nation and to develop the
    tourism industry. Sports fans coming to the nation watching live matches
    offline of watching online at home. If the country can promote itself
    successfully by showing how wonderful the contries is, more tourists will keep
    visiting after the event is over, bring a huge income for tourism industry.

    Hosting an international sport event not only will help attract more visitors for
    the countries, it will also encourage the citizens to partisipate in all kind of
    sport, making them more healthy in the long term. For example, China hosted
    the 2008 Olympic game, the whole nation went creazy on attending sport
    activities, a significant grow in the population in basketball, soccor and other
    soprts can be seen. Citizens are tought about the benefits of doing sports and
    being fit, wit the passion nationwide, people are changing their lifestyles to a
    healthier one.

    The advantages outweigh the disadvantages science hosting a well known


    international sport event not only can promote the country to the world, it can
    also encourage the ciztizens to live a healthier lifestyle.
