I. MECHANICS
1. A team must have a maximum of 5 players. Two players (2) players for Singles A and B;
Two (2) players for Doubles and one (1) reserved player.
2. To ensure the overall fitness and health condition upon participation, each student must
submit a Medical Waiver/Consent Form, properly filled in and signed by the parent or
guardian.
3. A gallery with the name and signature of the team coach will serve as the final entry per
team and must be submitted to the Tournament Manager (TM) a week before the
competition. All forms will be provided by TM.
4. All members of the Badminton Club are required to participate.
5. A reserved player can only play if the assigned player for that event is injured, otherwise
those who originally started will have to play it until the end of the event. Failure to
comply will result in the automatic win by default of the opponent.
6. All matches shall be played in a single round robin tournament.
7. The game will be played on a 1-21 point-rally score. Change court will be made when a
team scores 11 points. The team to first score 21 points will be the winner.
8. The rule of succession will be applied in the tournament; therefore, teams and players
should stay on the venue of competition while waiting for their game.
9. Players must bring their own racket (no racket, no play). Shuttlecocks will be provided
by the officials during the game.
10. Each team must wear their playing uniform of the same color.
11. Competitions will be played inside the gym.
12. Default time – 10 minutes after the time schedule.
II. SCORING
The ranking and scoring will be based on the greatest number of wins, in case of two
team tie – win over the other will be used and for three team ties – quotient system
will be applied.
