Seven ways to protect the environment

Everybody wants to protect the environment, but most people don't do
anything about it. There are many habits you can have in your everyday life to
start making a change. Here are seven of the easiest and most common:
1. Are you using fluorescent light bulbs? They are more expensive, but they last
longer and save energy. In the long term, you are saving money, too.
2. Are you donating what you don't use? You can donate clothes and things
you don't need every year. That way you can help to reuse manufactured pro
ducts and protect the environment.
3. Are you turning off your electronic devices? If you are not using them, turn
them off. Are you watching TV? No? Then, turn it off. Are you leaving the
room? Turn off the light. This habit will help reduce electricity consumption
and you will save money.
4.Are you walking enough every day? It is not just for your health; it is also
for the environment. Do you need to use the car? If the place you are going
is within walking distance, walk or ride your bicycle. You will be stronger and
healthier and so will the environment.

5.What are you using to wash your clothes and dishes? Pay attention to your
detergent label. If it doesn't have an environmentally free logo, stop using it.
6. Is that leaking faucet in your bathroom or kitchen sink driving you crazy
at night? Fix it! An average of 120 liters of water can be wasted through a
dripping faucet.
7. Isrecovering rainwater an important issue for you? You can find YouTube
tutorials that explain how to recover rainwater. Watch them and start making
a difference.
