RE: OFFER OF ADMISSION AND JOINING INSTRUCTIONS.

We are pleased to inform you that you have been offered an opportunity to pursue a course leading
to award of ________________________________________________________. Success of this
course, largely depends on how you will conduct yourself in its pursuit. To be successful you must
be self-disciplined, determined, dedicated, and hard working.
You will be allowed to change the course only during registration and not during the midstream of
the semester.
REPORTING DATES
You are expected to report to the college from 9th to 13th SEPTEMBER 2024 during the normal
working hours. The college operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION

On arrival you should report to the reception where you will be guided on the admission process.
You are required to bring the following items with you for registration.
COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS
One ream of printing papers (JK Copier) Two K.C.S.E certificates/Result Slip Photocopies
Two Spring files Two Birth Certificate Photocopies
One Kenpoly armless plastic chair Two National ID Photocopies
Note: Students pursuing NITA and ARTISAN Courses may be exempted from bringing the
K.C.S.E Certificate.
ACCOMMODATION
There is reasonable accommodation within the college. However, accommodation is optional, and will be on first-come-
first-serve basis. You will be required to bring beddings, toiletries and other personal effects. Students opting for
alternative accommodation may seek assistance from the Dean’s Office to identify suitable facilities within the
proximity of the college.
ACCOMODATION IS OFFERED TO ALL NEW STUDENTS WITH A REGISTRATION FEE OF KSH 3,000
WHICH IS TO BE PAID SEPARATELY THROUGH KCB BANK ACCOUNT (1305709942), TO CATER FOR WATER
BILL, ELECTRICITY BILL AND OTHER HOSTEL EXPENSES.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BOARDERS ONLY


The college provides a bed of size 3*6 to all students residing in the hostels therefore a border should provide the
following;

• Mattress (3x6)
• Two bed sheets and a blanket
• Toiletries and other personal items
KINDLY NOTE:
We offer meals through A PAY AS YOU EAT system in our college cafeteria or a meal card provided by the college
at Ksh 120 per day or at Ksh 3000 per month
EXAMINATIONS
An external examination is provided to the trainee either at the end of a module in modular courses, or at the end of the
course in tape courses, this attracts a separate payment. The charges vary according to the course being undertaken and
also the charges as directed by KNEC/KASNEB/NITA/ICM or ICDL examination bodies.
An internal exam provided by KTCM is done at the end of the semester and this attracts a payment of KSH 1000. CATS
and TAKE AWAY exams are provided without charge.
MEDICAL CARE
Basic health services for outpatient treatment are available in our college clinic without charge, for minor
cases and first aid, but if a case worsens we refer a patient to Murang’a level 5 hospital at the student’s
expense. On admission a trainee must pay a medical fee of ksh 500 for his /her medical cover
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The college encourages all trainees to fully participate in the college clubs and societies and the trainee must belong to
one club and one society in the college. For this, the student is required to pay a charge of ksh 300 on admission in order
to be registered in both.
For effective participation in the games please bring with you appropriate games attire and shoes

COURSE TEXT BOOKS TOOLS AND OTHER TRAINING MATERIALS


The college provides the student with learning materials e.g. text books for your Course through
library services. Most learning tools are provided by the institution and some by the trainee. The
list of required tools are provided on the admission day by the respective departments. You are
required to come with writing materials e.g. note books or A4 size books and pens

FEE PAYMENT
A fee structure has been provide in an extra sheet in this admission letter. Please see the attached leaf for
the amount of fees to be paid in your course of study. This fee is payable per semester.
The fee is also payable in instalments i.e. half during admission and the rest during the mid-stream.

You will be required to have paid the tuition fees before admission. The fees should be paid into
