REPORT ON INSTALLATION OF POWER BI


Introduction:
Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors
that work together to turn your unrelated sources of data into coherent, visually
immersive, and interactive insights. Your data might be an Excel spreadsheet, or
a collection of cloud-based and on-premises hybrid data warehouses.

System Requirements:
Before installing Power BI, ensure that your system meets the following
requirements:
Operating System: Windows 7 or later (64-bit)
Processor: 1 GHz or faster 64-bit processor
RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard Disk Space: 3 GB of available disk space
Internet Connection: Required for some features
Graphics: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver

Install as an app from the Microsoft Store:

There are a few ways to access the most recent version of Power BI
Desktop from the Microsoft Store.
1. Use one of the following options to open the Power BI Desktop
page of the Microsoft Store:
● Open a browser and go directly to the Power BI Desktop
page of the Microsoft Store.
● From the Power BI service, in the upper right corner,
select the Download icon and then choose Power BI
Desktop.
● Go to the Power BI Desktop product page, and then
select Download Free.
Download Power BI :
To download the Power BI Desktop executable from the Download Center,
select Download from the Download Center page. Then specify the 32-bit or
64-bit installation file to download.

Install Power BI :

You're prompted to run the installation file after you finish


downloading it.
Power BI Desktop ships as a single .exe installation package that contains all
supported languages, with separate .exe files for the 32-bit and 64-bit
versions. The .msi packages are no longer available. You need the executable
for installation. This approach makes distribution, updates, and installation
much easier and more convenient, especially for administrators. You can also
use command-line parameters to customize the installation process, as

Before installing Tableau, ensure that your system meets the following
requirements:
Operating System: Windows 7 or later (64-bit) or macOS 10.12 or later

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Opteron processor or later (64-bit)

RAM: 4 GB minimum

Hard Disk Space: 1.5 GB of available disk space

Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768 or higher

Internet Connection: Required for product activation and updates

Downloading Tableau:

● Open a web browser and navigate to the official Tableau website: https://
www.tableau.com/.
● Click on the "Try Tableau for Free" or "Download" button to access the
download page.
● Choose the appropriate version (Windows or macOS) and download the
installer.

Installing Tableau:
1. As soon as you open the downloaded exe file, the install wizard
will launch. Click on Run to start the installation procesYou will
get the first window as the welcome window. Check the box for
license terms agreement and click on Install. This will start the
install
process.
2. The next step will take a few minutes to install important files. The

progress bar will indicate the progress in green.


3. The next three steps are regarding the activation process. In this

window, you have to choose from two options; Start trial now and
Activate. The Start trial now option is the free 14-day trial option
whereas, the Activate option is for installing the paid version in
which you need to enter a product key.
4. Moving forward, it will ask you to fill up a registration form. It
contains fields like Name, E-mail, Organization, Job title, etc. Fill
the right details and click on Register.
5. Once the activation is complete, go to your desktop and click on
the Tableau icon to open Tableau.

6. Tableau Desktop welcome page will open. On its left, you can find
a range of data source options you can connect to. And on its right
panel, you can explore the training and resources option. To open a
new workbook, click on the Tableau star-like icon given on the
upper left corner.

● Check the box that says "Add Python x.x to PATH" during installation.
● Follow the on-screen instructions, including selecting the installation
location and customizing the installation if necessary.
● Click "Install" to begin the installation process.
● Once the installation is complete, click "Close" to exit the installer.

● Go to the CRAN website.


● Click on "Download R for Windows".

changes to your device.
● Select the installation language.
● Follow the installation instructions.
● R has now been sucessfully installed on your Windows OS. Open the R
