Dear Shomsul,

Thank
you for contacting the Canadian Cancer Society. We have received your e-mail regarding your diagnosis with Non-Hodgkin
Lymphoma, and understand that you are wanting information about receiving treatment in Canada.

We
appreciate you connecting with us for information, Shomsul. At the Canadian Cancer Society, we recognize that a cancer
diagnosis can be difficult not only for the patient,
but also the family.

The
Canadian Cancer Society is a Canadian National Charitable Organization that provides information and supports for people
living in Canada, we are not directly involved in the care or treatment of patients.

There
are a few important things to consider when thinking about coming to Canada for treatment. Medically you would need a
referral to see a doctor here, you may want to speak with your current doctor about this. You would also need to be prepared
financially,
as international patients are required to pay for medical treatment that they receive in Canada.

We are aware of a resource in Ontario called UHN International Patient Program.

This program does require a referral as well and also has costs associated with receiving treatment.

We
suggest you connect with the Union
for International Cancer Control (UICC)
to search for a cancer agency in your region. In addition, you may also contact the International
Cancer Information Service Group (ICISG)
website for local resources and information in your country.

Please
note that CCS does not assess the quality of services from organizations other than our own. Therefore, we encourage you to
connect directly with a local organization to meet your needs.
We wish
you and your family the very best moving forward.

Sincerely,

Canadian
Cancer Society
